I do give my kittens rolls of toilet paper as toys every once in a while in their playroom/nursury. Having cabinets, display cabinets, lidded boxes, wall shelves & hooks help a lot. I keep my 2 kittens in their own kitten-proofed room, stairwell, and screened in catio when unattended.The kitchen is a definite babysat kitty room only with things like coffeemakers and garlic cloves around!

@@assiend My cat, Elise, also thinks phone charging cables are the best chew toys. So over the past 11 years I've devised ways to hide them from her. My couch actually has USB plugs in it if you lift the arm rest on 2 rests on 2 different sections, behind the cup holders. So, when I charge my phone, I prop open the "lid" with ab ear plugs bottle I have and an empty vitamins bottle stacked on each other, (where the USB plugs are is an open space, like the center console in your car where you can keep things like remotes, books, etc., and it's pretty big and deep), and I let my phone hang part of the way out so she has no way of getting to the cord. With my tablet, I'll usually put something over the cord so she doesn't see it. She's become better over the years, but I'll catch her occasionally. But she has chewed through a couple of mine and at least one of my (now ex) boyfriend's lol I never got mad at her, though. How is she to know? I'd tell her "no no" and tried bitter apple spray, like we used for our ferrets when I was married. But out of sight, out of mind is the best policy. Especially with my bf, he had a nasty temper and was just a horrid human being all around.
