I had a ferral cat bring me her litter of kittens once. It melted my heart.
A neighborhood cat,( who was underfed), brought her 4 kittens to my house*. I went from zero to 5 cats in an hour! Two of her kittens were blind in one eye and the other 2 were in health. I kept them all and eventually found a home for the most beautiful kitten. I had to keep the two 'one eyed pirates' and a very skiddish sibling, and of course, Mama Cat. There REALLY is a Cat Distribution Network and it seems the Universe does NOT like a void---a home without cats! The Universe will fill -in the void. LOL.
*Mama Cat left the neighbor's home of her own free will. Here, food is in abundance, as is Love and Attention. The neighbors eventually learned where Mama Cat had gone off to ...but they did not want her back. I'm prone to believe Mama Cat knew what she was doing. Wise Mama!
Happened to me too, I had been feeding her, I went out to put the washing out and came back to five kittens in my porch :)

Same here - I eventually found homes for the kittens, She stayed, eventually became a house cat and was with us for the next 16 years.
Here in Burgas Bulgaria, some of the cats have their kittens by the shops and socialise them with the humans cos they know they will get well fed and adopted...
That cat mama isn't stupid. She picked a beautiful house to live in. She charmed you, and you fell instantly in love. That cat family just won the kitty lottery!

I noticed that myself, the first two were in distress due to the umbilical cord, so the mama looked after them first. Then went to bring the rest to a man she knew to be kind enough to help her and her babies. This man was a good soul that has a great capacity for love in other creatures. I also saw how fleas were leaping off the babies, and it was the perfect idea that he did take them to the vets right away first before letting them settle in at his home. I used to work for veterinarians for years before retiring and know that having a vet look after a new pet immediately is the best thing that you can do for an animal. 😊😊

Cats are used to help care for even baby tigers. Their mother instincts are stronger than human ones, especially given the current situation.

I once opened my door, out of the blue, and found a mama cat on my doorstep with 3 of her babies. She just brought 'em to see me, like, "hey, what can you do with these?" I brought one in to my wife to show her, and she said, "what's that??" I said what's it look like lol? I took the baby back outside to momma, and fed her, brought momma and kittens inside, and had my stepson go catch the rest of the kittens.
She nursed them in our house and then just when they were weaned... escaped before we could get her fixed.
This became a regular thing. She had two more litters before we managed to outsmart her and get her off the baby treadmill. The last one she had in our closet and I still have two of the little grubs, all grown up now. They're the sweetest cats I've ever had. I had no idea how affectionate they are when you raise them from the time they can fit in your palm.
Momma is still around and doing great now that she doesn't have to give birth every five minutes. And her babies are doing great too.

The Mama cat came to you hoping for some help for her babies.. and then discovered she had walked into Cat Disneyland.. and it took her a little while to adjust and settle from the excitement. What a blessed cat! I love this wholesome video so much 😻

Its more of survival instinct, mama cat see the place as stable food source and feels relativly safe, so to reduce time of leaving kittens alone they likly bring kittens closer to food source, to keep them more safe
I think you are right. We had a stray cat following us home even though there had been no interaction whatsoever between us before that. We had passed by him every now and then, and one day, he just decided to follow us. Dogs are also like that, too. We encountered a little dog from a bookstore that we had never visited before. When she saw me, she came to me and wagging her tail like she had known me. Her owner told us that she did not always behave like that. There were people that she disliked and she would bark at them.

In Sweden, where I’m from, we have a word that is Sötnos. It translates to “Sweet Nose”, often used as a romantic nickname between lovers. I think that Sweetnose would be a nice name for a kitten. 👍🐱

It would help to put mama and kittens in their own room. She’s trying to keep them away from the others. She probably moves them when she needs food. Her own space with food, water and a litter box would help. Even a bathroom would work. Nice job saving her!! ♥️
That's what the little houses are for. They can't give all the cats rooms - it's important for them to learn to live in a denser population of cats than they might be used to. You can see how happy & gregarious the other cats there are. I think their setup works to help the cats adapt.

@@AK-jt7kh - they should have put the cats in a separate room, at least for awhile. Then they could gradually introduce them to the shared room. It’s very stressful, especially suddenly being thrown in there with no knowledge of how to escape or where to hide, etc. Even a bathroom can be used.

We had a feral Tom- fed him and treated to get rid of ticks he was covered in - painfully thin. Then one day he brought his wife and 4 kids with him. Feral cats know where to come for help. I now have 9 some I doors and some outdoors by closing. Had them neutered. They are the loves of my life - they make in credibly great pets❤❤😂

We adopted a tom that arrived on our deck with a leg-hold trap clamped to his right paw. He let me open the trap and pull out his mangled toes, but wasn't too keen on me spraying his paw with peroxide. He stayed with us for 3 years, even returning one morning with bites and holes all over his body. Tough old boy, the vet said he wouldn't survive the injuries, but he bounced back and is still hobbling around.

There was the sweetest stray cat in my neighborhood named Leo. I used to feed him "the good stuff," wet food, nearly everyday, until one day he got more and more pushy. I live in an apartment and the cat began stalking my going out and coming in, until one day he forced his way into my place. At that point I had to stop feeding him and he eventually left. I have an apartment and I could not accommodate him here. That's when I learned not to feed strays, because they will worm their way into your life. 😂😂😂 Your house is gorgeous!

Когда шел на перерыв на обед, то однажды услышал как где-то в траве отчаянно мяукает кошка. я посмотрел вокруг и никого не увидел. Я позвал кошку... И из травы вышел маленький серый пушистый котенок. Он был напуган и голоден. У меня даже в мыслях не было его брать. Я присел, погладил котенка и спросил: "Ты пойдешь со мной?". И пошел по своим делам. Но когда я оглянулся, то увидел, что котенок бежит за мной, быстро перебирая лапками. И я понял, что никогда не брошу этого котенка. Я возвращался на работу, а котенок бежал за мною. Так он и добежал до меня. Прошло 15 лет и моя кошка Мурка до сих пор живет со мною. Уже мои родители покинули этот мир. А кошка живет. И я еще не видел более любящего и преданного существа в своей жизни. и ни разу в своей жизни я не пожалел, что подобрал этого котенка. Это случилось в русском городе Хабаровск.

This is just wonderful !! The mama was apprehensive at first, not sure of the new surroundings, but then she realized it was a safe place for her and her babies. The older kittens are also very cute, white with black spots and one has a striped tail, exploring everything !!

Female cats often live in colonies with older cats teaching younger mother how to raise their babies, Luna is a good mother who showed the new mother this is a safe place and you need to come take care of your babies.

The mama really needed a space of her own in a separate room to continue feeding her babies that wasn't overwhelmed by the smell of the other cats since that set the mama in protective mode from other animals that might harm the babies or herself. It's quite possible that is the reason why she quit nursing, she had to stay on watch. After her kittens and she had been acclimated to the situation and they were comfortable enough with the other cats/kittens then they could have been introduced to each other properly. I used to work for veterinarians for years before starting my own business of grooming and training dogs, although I did train a few special cats too. Animal behavior is a good thing to know well when fostering pets. This man has a good soul and is a great human being to care for the street cats, and is why they would trust this kind man!! He has done everything right except maybe giving a new mama a quiet, peaceful spot of her own to first start nursing her babies in the home. 😊😍 😊
Yes new cats needs to be introduced gradually and it is a really bad idea to just dump a mom with newborn kittens into a group of cats. Cat mom needs to be alone with her kittens, if stressed and scared she can even end up eating her own kittens.

65 and retired i have 6 cat's and two small dog's for several years they are my family and comfort.
They are all inside pets and very spoiled.

I had this happen. I gave the the mom and babies privacy and it was so beautiful
when I was 10 years old, I was walking to my school in Iran/Tehran, I heard a kitten mewing in the garbage bin in the ally. I picked him up and brought him home where we had a stray cat have 3 kittens that week. The kitten I found in the garbage was about 3 weeks old, and it had tiger pattern, but my stray kittens where a lot smaller (recently born) and they were all black and white. I still clearly remember putting the tiger kitten in front of the mom who was feeding all its kitten. She got up and started licking the tiger kitten that was waiting there. She adopted him in about 5 seconds without hesitation and I will never forget that moment. I have always wondered why we humans don't look at each others kids with open arms like they are our own. The beauty of nature showed me something that stayed in my heart 20 years later.

Thank you this is very nice to see. I used to live in Spain and over many years rescued 58 cats and now I just have one kitty. I have the names of all 58 cats on a paper in my safe... They were all very precious to me. I had two cats for 17 years.
I do the same for dogs I rescued in Sudan and Lebanon. All are/were blessings ❤
