you can set dead zone with the manual calibration . Also I leave the USB cable plugged into the pedals all the time but not plugged into the PC , I have the cable rolled up and placed under the pedal deck . When I want to update the pedals unplug the pedals from the wheel base and plug in the USB cable , update , then unplug the USB cable from the PC , lay the USB cable back under the pedal deck and reconnect the pedals to the wheel base . Do not connect the USB cable from the pedals to the PC at the same time with the brake connected to the wheel base ! Hope this helps.
From south wales... my 16th great grandfather was the chief justice of south wales.... I have no idea what that means. 😂... Good video. I'm buying these today!
I have just googled it and I am non the wiser 😂 Guess that means he was a big deal 🤣 Glad you enjoyed it mate. These are a nice set of pedals you should be happy 👍🏻
This will be my first sim set up,i pre ordered the clubsport dd+ and im glad i stopped and looked at this video...On the Fence if i should wait for the new pedals now, since the Clubsport DD+ wont be showing up till December hopefully the new pedals pop up
First of all, congratulations on entering this wonderful hobby. You're going to have a great time. Second, it depends on what your budget is. I don't think Podium pedals are coming any time soon. I would seriously consider looking outside the Fanatec ecosystem for pedals. There are lots to choose from at the moment.
@@mrpink4231Both are excellent choices. But I would seriously consider moving out of console and upgrade pedals later if you are serious about sim racing. There are so many more options once you are out from under the console umbrella.
@@TraumaTeamRacing well i will start with v2 and staying in fanatec universe with the new dd+ (preordered already). But will move my PC to my simracing area and will start using PC and PS5. One thing: I need a new Monitor/TV. Again: It should be able to do PS5 and PC, so no ultrawide (no ps5 support). I think i will start with one, but should be able to upgrade into triple monitors... Which is the perfect size? i was thinking about getting a 55inch TV with 120hz, but a triple with 55inch? seems too much :D ?!
@mrpink4231 You have to figure out your budget and space and what your system can run. I want immersion but I also want performance. For me at the moment a triple 32 setup is fantastic. If you have the money go higher. But remember running a triple 4K will lead to a drop in performance potentially. Need to find your balance.
"heal toe" is named that but a easier way to do it is use the ball of the foot on the brake and use your pinky toe on the gas. makes it very easy. i have been doing that for years in real life and on my logitech pedals. i have been driving manual for many many years. trust me its worth a try.
@dillankennedy9607 Multiple ways to skin a cat and ultimately some pedal set ups don't allow what you have described. I just really wanna try fanatec and moza stuff to see what I should get. I like the shifter form fanatec and the inverted pedals look nice but I never really used any high end stuff
@@TraumaTeamRacing I have a full cheap Logitech sim now with a cheap cockpit. I am trying to get into real racing so I’m not really worried about the actual price if it’s worth it. I think the inverted would be worth it over the regular but I want to get stuff that’s good for the money you know?

Any pedals that are compatible with console and dd + that are not fanatec ? I have ps5 , Xbox x and will build a pc in future. Does srm make anything to use different pedals on console ?
If you want console compatibility and entry into high end then Fanatec is your best bet. If you want to tide yourself over until you get a PC go slightly lower end and get Logitech or Thrustmaster.
What does triple paddle inverted set up fit inside the H3 rig from DOF Reality? Just ordered that motion simulator but I’m not sure if this inverted set up would fit.
If you look at the dimensions listed in the manual this will tell you if it will fit properly👍🏻 You can find this through the link in the description, head to the item and then the downloads tab.
No issues at all. There are instructions I believe in the manual to move it across. You shouldn't be having any issues with the motor hitting the damper? Is that what is happening?
@@TraumaTeamRacing yeah I followed the instructions and looked over it multiple times. I’m thinking it may be because I didn’t replace the bracket for the vibration motor. Though that’s because the pedals don’t come with any replacements. Though I’m not sure if it would make a difference
@@westhunter2938 Isn't the bracket mandatory? I have a feeling this might be due to a step being missed. I'd have a look at the operating manual again and re-check your steps. I would be interested to know what your solution was.
@@TraumaTeamRacing So I looked over the instructions once again. Changing the bracket seems to be needed for the rumble motor not to come in contact with the damper since the new bracket is slightly modified to combat this issue. My only issue is that I'm not sure how I can get this bracket without purchasing another damper. I don't really want to spend $80 on another damper that I'm not gonna use. My question is how did you combat this? Also thanks for helping me out with this. I've found little information to combat this issue.
@westhunter2938 I don't understand where the problem is sorry. I only used things that came with the damper and the V3's. Everything was in the box. It should work with no issue. I didn't need to modify anything.
I just bought the v3 inverted with dd 8nm second hand…only to find out that it’s not Ps5 compatible. They are attached to the playseat evolution and I can already tell that there’s a lot of flex in this setup before I haven’t been able to use it while I wait on the drive hub and Besavior u5 to show up later this week…any tips on getting this set up right for me to play GT7 on the PS5 or should I just take this as a lesson and purchase a GT7 PS5 wheel base??
Sorry Carl, I am only just seeing this. I am afraid I don't have very much experience with this as I moved away from console sim racing relatively quickly. If you are heavily invested in the hobby I would strongly consider the move to PC. The sim racing world opens up considerably from that point. Rather than pump a load of money into a GT7 PS5 wheel base could you invest in a starter PC perhaps and keep the 8Nm you currently have? Just a thought.
@@TraumaTeamRacing People on console play there because that's what they prefer, or they at least want access to console racing, and it gets tiresome to be told, endlessly, to move to pc. Face it, Fanatec themselves would disagree with you. Their product line-up points this out, since they're the only higher end sim racing brand to focus on console support. If you're on PC, you barely need Fanatec at all, since you can just mix and match and download the relevant drivers.
@@whiteumbrella7661 You have presented a generalisation which simply cannot be ubiquitous. In my case, I played on console because I found PC initially intimidating. I moved to PC and it is objectively superior for sim racing. However, a lot of fun can be had on console. Clearly you feel strongly about this as you have chosen to comment here. I am glad you enjoy playing on console. The Logitech Pro is also a high end racing wheel and offers console compatibility and others are also looking at entering this space.
@@TraumaTeamRacing Currently, Fanatec is the only legitimate way (without using a PC) to build a rig that supports PC, Xbox and PlayStation. If only Xbox or PlayStation is required, Logitech is far from the only option. PC isn't "objectively superior", that's subjective. Awesome video mate, great music, scenery beautiful and the V3's have never looked sexier.
Thank you mate for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it. The V3's did look particularly spectacular at golden hour. Very lucky with the weather! 📸🥳
my biggest gripe with moving the damper to the throttle pedal is the metal on metal clang when you go wide open.
There is a little noise but I can't recall it giving me much issue. It did require some greasing to stop it from squeaking though.
