well that was pointless... i take this apart...and send it out...and here it is...job done. top tip - it's even easier to rebuild an engine if you just write checks.
You only have to worry about pistons hitting valves if it’s an interference engine. Also on most engines you can do valve seals without removing the head.
how would he verify the seals need replacing other than a close look? is there a test for that. It never pays to guess. He is so damn good he had to have diagnosed that somehow and the whole bs suspense is to make the show exciting. The production team likes to create uncertainty or tension and then relieve that tension when the repair is a peach.
@ yeah but, the seals keep oil from running down the stems into the cylinder, they dont have anything to do with the way the valve itself maintains a good seat for good compression and a shut condition.
Nice to see Ed back on Wheeler Dealers….
When?
Always liked this guy, knowledgeable and modest.
We need some full length episodes please! Can’t get enough 🔧

There's more oil outside the engine than in it.
We’ll never know if it worked !!

Compression test

So no compression test needed . Really?
you do realize that this beast uses two stroke oil in the fuel right ?
I don’t like this when you don’t hear the engine running!
