I'd been on the fence about trying Resolve as an alternative to AE due to plenty of accounts I've read saying that it can be difficult to use, but you've made the learning process much less intimidating. ok so i'm brand new to all this stuff like downloaded 17 earlier today. But i know computers so I'm confused. In the file path I can only get as far at Templates in the file path. Edit and Effects are not there. is this because I have not shelled out 299?
Nope I believe people have started running into this issue because of a change made in the latest version. Try creating those folders yourself and see if that works
I saw that in your inspector thers no smart reframe. I want the smart reframe but my inspector is like your's. do you know how to turn this option on? or this is only a studio version option i cant find any explain video that explain that can you help me? (if there is languge failes you can fix me)

I less you're already fairly familiar with resolve you likely won't notice any of the update right away. Effects and transitions have related icons and can be previewed by hovering over them but nothing has changed about the core editing experience. The inspector is updated to be more efficient 👍🏼
Hi I am Confused on how to get it into divinci resolve when I put it in c program file black magic/divinci resolve/fusion/templates/edit/effects it says you do not have permission to save in this file location if you know the problem can you help me out cause this seems really cool :)
you'll have to have admin level access on your computer because it is saving to some of the core program files. I'm not sure what next step to offer you other than checking with whoever has that access on your computer
Did I miss something?? You never told us where to put the downloaded file "right older". I think it is a RUclips rule to always leave out the most crucial part.
Oh, and I did try manually creating that path. Dropped the file in the folder and fired up Resolve. Didn't work because there are no Fusion Effects showing up in the Edit page. Do I need to update Resolve 16 to 17? If so, I only see the beta. Is that what I want?
@@PatrickStirling Yes, 16 was installed on my C. Per your suggestion on Discord, I uninstalled 16, installed 17 Beta and saw the Template folder. I dropped your file there and fired up Resolve. Applied the fusion effect to my logo and now I'm ready to customize it. Thank you for everything you do, homie!
Did not expect this video to teach me how to cache effects in the preview, you are a nuclear bomb of value to the Resolve community

there is no obs stinger in my davinci even i already put the file in fusion

I followed all the steps, and got it renderd, but it wont show up in SLOBS, what am i doing wrong? Other stingers i tried works fine..

If you're in the newest version of resolve you can simply double-click the drfx file to install!

Smart reframe is a studio-only effect

oh, you see OBS now supports mats, you can have three items, first, transition and last all on the same screen at once.

Resolve has received some big updates since this video. The download should now be a drfx file that you can simply double-click to install in resolve

Hi buddy trying to use this in davinci 17 and comes up media offline halfway through, even the preview before I drop it on my timeline

Yes this effect will require the beta of 17. But if you're not seeing the file path that issue might persist. Is resolved installed on your C drive?
