    You are a GODSEND my good sir, I've been looking for hours on how to not only find but replace the sensor without a ton of mumbo jumbo!

      You are welcome! Be sure to clean the carb if it’s black like mine was, and get a can of *carb* cleaner so you don’t have to use break cleaner like I did. It’s hard to run to the store when your car is disassembled.

    Did this permanently fix the problem. Researching this issue, it might be the connectors to the TPS. Dielectric grease in the contacts might be needed for a consistent electrical connection.

    Do you have the link where we can buy it? Also can the gears can be replaced? Any idea where to get it? thanks

      @@christianong6381 Oh! I was thinking of another video.
      The gears are almost certainly not sold as service parts for the Focus (my experience talking), but it might be worth asking a Ford dealer.
      You could buy a used throttle body from a salvage yard or a budget aftermarket throttle body (with throttle position sensor) for less than $100 and either use it as a total replacement or just rob the gears out of it for your OEM throttle body.
