The first classical piece I heard on youtube was tännhauser overture, I heard Three Versions of the overture, and Frankfurt Radio Orchestra with Orozco moved my heart the most. He is still my favorite condoctor. The playfullness and lightness between him and the orchestra, makes me wanna order a ticket to Frankfurt. Greetings from a newly classical music-saved seventies rocker.
My all-time favorite classical piece! Maestro Andrés Orozco-Estrada is just outstanding in conducting this superb Sinfonieorchester! Had the privilege to see him conducting the NY Philharmonic on this same piece (December 2023). Bravo!!
I could listen to that coda ten thousand times in a row and not get tired of it.
Tjajkovskijs first Masterpiece, written 1869 when he was only 29. This is a wonderful performance! ❤

There is so much to love about these broadcasts, surely the best experience you could possibly have without actually attending the concerts. I am always in awe of the incredible, imaginative camerawork which takes us into the heart of the orchestra, so I almost feel I’m a part of them. An absolutely gorgeous performance! Tchaikovsky is truly amazing. I also can't help but wonder if Andres O-E is back to conducting this orchestra? It has been a long while, so if he is I am so glad for his return.
The timpanist makes a really good job in this piece.
Orchestra and conductor in symbiotic harmony with the music. They clearly enjoy making music together - to which this performance bears ample testimony. May there be many more interpretations as moving, as illuminating as this.
One can hope, but this is a reunion, Andrés Orozco- Estrada left for other tasks already 2021
I. Love. That. Piece! I love the way the conductor doodles around in the air to indicate which soloists should stand. I also love the way the principal wind player will acknowledge the other player to stand.
AOE is exceptional, as always. Enjoyed.... T is one of my top 10 favorite composers of all time. I was having a senior moment the other day and had forgotten if T used the Grosse Trommel or not, but I see he did.
What a masterpiece performance! Words fail to express the emotions stirred by Tchaikovsky's melodies, and this is truly a great rendition of this timeless piece.
The more I listen, the more I like it. Even if I am well aquainted with this music since long. The orchestra under Andrés Orozco-Estrada is just wonderful, they make this performance perhaps the best I ever heard, and the "zusammenspiel" between the orchestra and the conductor is marvelous. It is a real connection there, even if Andrés now has left for other tasks. This evening is perhaps the last time they play together, but I hope it is not so. Thank you all!

Le si sympathique chef Andrés Orozco-Estrada est de retour pour cette œuvre magnifiquement interprétée par cet orchestre que j'aime toujours autant. L'image est parfaite, les musiciens et les instruments sont suivis de près par les cameras, c'est une bonne façon de savoir quel instrument joue à un moment précis de l'orchestration, c'est à la fois divertissant et pédagogique. Bravo à tous !

Perfekte und wunderlebhafte Aufführung dieser fein romantischen und durchaus komponierten Ouvertüren-Fantasie mit gestrichenen Tönen aller Streicher, hölzernen Tönen aller Holzbläser und blechernen Tönen aller Blechbläser. When I was a kid, Tschaikowsky was my favorite composer. Now I find him to be melodramatic. None the less, this was a beautiful execution of one of his famous works.
Melodramatic? Wait till you will be really old, then you will find him gorgeous again. As when you were a kid. 😕
