Me too...me too. 40 year old man. Brought to near tears from 3 notes after a ficticious character hands you a flower. The power of music and storytelling
It is astonishing what a great character can do to you. If its written correctly and put into the right scenario and acted beautifully you get what we have right here. A character that is loved, has been loved, and will be loved through time immemorial. Forget just Final Fantasy. Aerith is one of the best characters period
Many thanks to everyone. It sounds ridiculous, but I'm not the only one who feels that way about the game. Although everything is animated and not "real" it still triggers "real" feelings in one or the other. Thank you very much everyone. You are awesome!! I'm sorry for the english. I had it translated.
I was full on in tears myself when I first saw her and then at this scene? Seeing her again just tugged at my heartstrings. Aerith is such a precious character for many out there and she looks amazing. Plus she's a fun character to play as. Amazingly powerful even on her own in battle.
Still remember I was letting the hate for this game get to me. I pre ordered it digitally and was debating to see if I could return it. I listened to this piece on RUclips and never looked back. I love this game more than I ever thought possible.
I'm a man, but I naturally cried like a baby the second aerith's theme started playing. She is not particularly my favorite, I don't have a certain favorite in FFVII, yet this scene just... I don't know. It, like, touches you in the deepest part of your heart. It's bittersweet, tears of joy and tears of sorrow.
i've never played any FF and this absolutely never fails to make me cry anyway. hellomoonie i relate to you, despite not knowing Aerith (and i know what happens to her but have no context......)
Imagine. Just three notes of music destroyed so many people. You know, that you have created an absolute masterpiece. When three simply notes bring so many people to tears.
I don't know if I'm the only one but I got really emotional hearing that music from the nostalgia from playing the original and then playing the remake
Even though i never played the og, now that I’m replaying the remake whenever this song comes on i always feel sad for some reason... and tears fill my eyes...
When I heard this music I bursted into tears and took a little break just to realize I waited many years for moments like these... when FVII modernized was a dream many years ago and look now.... man I'm so glad games are a big part of my life.
I take it that some of these streamers played the original and knows what happens. This remake is opening old wounds but bringing happiness at the same time.
I've always wanted to play FF7, but never had access. This video has convinced me that I NEED to play it. Anything that can cause that kind of reaction with three piano notes is worth playing.
This part was a solid gut punch on my first playthrough. A 44 year old man sitting there with a PS4 controller in his hand and tears in his eyes. The most touching part? My wife knew the reason and completely understood.
I'm not a gamer but when I came across Aerith, I started becoming interested in watching playthroughs. Thank you so much Aerith for letting me know how magical games are❤. I've been a non-gamer fan for almost two years now, and it's one of the best things ever!!!!!
That just shows how much a piece of simple music can mean to people. A piece of music can bring back so many good memories.... about people that you cared about in that time, when you played the game, people who were alive at the time you played the game and how much fun you had playing the original game back in the day. Its crazy.
I will never not become emotional listening to this music. It is so evocative. And I think it speaks to the profundity of videogames as an artform that these games and their music and their characters can still affect us all so deeply, even after all these years.
When something is handled so well and treated with such care by the creators and staff and esp the english localization team...it is very moving to see what people are capable of.
I was 13 when FF7 came out and when this happened, I was just like "... wtf? Wtf? DUDE, WTF?!" It wasn't until MW2 (2009) where a scene just completely shocked me and made me cry, man. Imo, Aeris' death is the craziest, most unexpected death in ANY form of media.
I was around 9-10 years old when I played this game on playstation and when she died I was genuinely upset. She was my favourite character after cloud and I invested so much time into her I'm pretty sure I sat there for a good 10 minutes just staring at the screen not believing it had actually happened. What a wake up call.
Max just spitted FACTS. That's why we love Aerith SO MUCH: How is it that a pure and innocent person like her is living in a cruel and unfair world? How does she manage to live like this? This rotten world is too much for her, she deserves better.
i am literally crying everytime i hear it.. I haven't played the og, i have no console to play it so... yeah idk why but i can feel the first notes so hard.
haha i loveed this video!! the reactions are so cute. i played it in my childhood, and i replay it every now and then since that time. i haven't played the remake yet, i don't have a ps4, but looking forward to it
When the first notes starting playing, tears started coming down. Final Fantasy 7 was one of the first JRPGS i had played as a kid and will forever be my favorite game of all time
That theme brings back so many memories of one particular scene from the original FF7 that you can never forget. If that particular scene happens again in the remake then there will be a lot of tears, broken hearts and sorrow due to how well fleshed out the character is now, how loveable, cheeky and full of personality she is with the remake. If that is to be her fate in the remake anyway, if it is then it's going to hurt so much.
Oh man, the real dozey for me is when Aerith gives the flower to Cloud saying lovers would give these to each other when they meet again. RiP Zack Fair 😭
I used to play the original as a kid every weekend with my cousin who passed away in a car accident leaving work. When this part came up I ended up crying, right next to my fiancé. It brought back so many good memories, I had never spoken about him to her, but I did that day. He was like a brother to me. Final Fantasy 7 is a part of all of us who played it.

You know that a game is art when it makes you feel something.
I didn't even play the original game, but a friend of mine was, and he told me about everything. I think Aerith's story is one of the first times a video game really touched me. So I felt a lot of emotions getting to play it now.
Reminds me of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, in the sense that it only takes a couple of notes to get people to break down..
Many thanks to everyone. It sounds ridiculous, but I'm not the only one who feels that way about the game. Although everything is animated and not "real" it still triggers "real" feelings in one or the other. Thank you very much everyone. You are awesome!! I'm sorry for the english. I had it translated.
*"How Much?"*
The answer is unanimous
I personally went with "I'm good", cause I feel it fits Cloud's character at the moment. Plus, you get a nice exchange between them.
Yeah it’s really funny how Aerith tries to convince Cloud to take it for free, meanwhile he’s not budging xD
3 D major notes, 3 A minor notes, and adult cries in tears...
How powerful is that? Nobuo is a genius.
Imagine. Just three notes of music destroyed so many people. You know, that you have created an absolute masterpiece. When three simply notes bring so many people to tears.
I don't know if I'm the only one but I got really emotional hearing that music from the nostalgia from playing the original and then playing the remake
Ff7 man. I remember being like 8 years old trying to figure out how to play.
I’m 30 now and gave my daughter this name. I loved the name and her story
Literally teared up! This character had so much impact on me growing up.
I always get a warm feeling in my heart whenever i see Max playing this game. Anyone who watched his streams knows how much FF 7 means to him.
Glad I'm learning this piece on the piano
mann... this was the first game i played when i got my ps, and i feel in love with it...when i got to this part no words just feelings🥺
I get so excited, and so scared, when I think that, *this time*, we can save her, *this time* it will be different...
I'm not a gamer but when I came across Aerith, I started becoming interested in watching playthroughs. Thank you so much Aerith for letting me know how magical games are❤. I've been a non-gamer fan for almost two years now, and it's one of the best things ever!!!!!
play it first hand
That just shows how much a piece of simple music can mean to people. A piece of music can bring back so many good memories.... about people that you cared about in that time, when you played the game, people who were alive at the time you played the game and how much fun you had playing the original game back in the day. Its crazy.
This is the power of music
MW2?
@@jaimereupert4247 Modern Warfare
I was around 9-10 years old when I played this game on playstation and when she died I was genuinely upset. She was my favourite character after cloud and I invested so much time into her I'm pretty sure I sat there for a good 10 minutes just staring at the screen not believing it had actually happened. What a wake up call.
Max just spitted FACTS. That's why we love Aerith SO MUCH: How is it that a pure and innocent person like her is living in a cruel and unfair world? How does she manage to live like this? This rotten world is too much for her, she deserves better.
Especially how Shinra orstrocized the ancients like her:(
She's too precious as the last remaining ancient for this rotton world of the planet.
@@walteranurantha5014and yet they're not kind with her!!
childhood memories all in a melody
i am literally crying everytime i hear it..
I haven't played the og, i have no console to play it so... yeah idk why but i can feel the first notes so hard.
The original is a digital download on PS4 with trophies and everything for like 15$
You can play it on the PS4!
It's on the switch too
3:26 she got rekt before the piano even started.
I bawled my eyes out, not afraid to admit it. I stopped and just bawled.
haha i loveed this video!! the reactions are so cute. i played it in my childhood, and i replay it every now and then since that time. i haven't played the remake yet, i don't have a ps4, but looking forward to it
When the first notes starting playing, tears started coming down. Final Fantasy 7 was one of the first JRPGS i had played as a kid and will forever be my favorite game of all time
Nicely done! I’m glad I came across your channel. I like supporting people jut starting out.
Also, afterthought, what program or website do you use to download these reactions so you can edit them down?
@@tnae Thanks for your support, there's website for cut part of video which one you want at www.streamable.com
I bet youre crying, no you are crying!
I love aerith since 1997 😊
So Relaxing, Peaceful, Calm, Brave And Beautiful.
It's fucking unbelievable how can this song make a 29 years old, full grown man cry instantly on command... why !!
I'm crying happy tears to know I'm not the only one who wept during this moment
Those simple piano notes can make all the difference
That theme brings back so many memories of one particular scene from the original FF7 that you can never forget. If that particular scene happens again in the remake then there will be a lot of tears, broken hearts and sorrow due to how well fleshed out the character is now, how loveable, cheeky and full of personality she is with the remake.
If that is to be her fate in the remake anyway, if it is then it's going to hurt so much.
Oh man, the real dozey for me is when Aerith gives the flower to Cloud saying lovers would give these to each other when they meet again. RiP Zack Fair 😭
its so beautiful. im crying now
I remember this music that's struck me back from the 90's. Great times and this makes it better
OMG THE ENDING WAS GORGEOUS, LONG HAIR AERITH ❤️❤️❤️😙
I used to play the original as a kid every weekend with my cousin who passed away in a car accident leaving work. When this part came up I ended up crying, right next to my fiancé. It brought back so many good memories, I had never spoken about him to her, but I did that day. He was like a brother to me. Final Fantasy 7 is a part of all of us who played it.
Ohh you ending the video with Theme of Love is just *chef's kiss!
This game is not just a game, it a game where had most 1980s and 90s precious childhood memories.
