I've come to the belief that the developers placed that bucket right outside your door, purely to screw with first time players.
I almost feel bad I did it first try...I looked down before moving.
Like the user above me, I actually managed to evade all objects on the floor during my first run as well. The moment Cloud stood outside the door and I saw the giant bucket on the floor, I knew that it would be a stealth mini-game, so I immediately used the camera to scan for other objects. lmao. Funnily, during my Hard run, I bumped twice into objects (and laughed when Aerith called me a jerk). Oh well :P.
And it worked

This is especially during the first and second world wars, and the Vietnam War. There are more conflicts that are still actually occurring at the present which I won't go over. For the veterans who returned from the Vietnam War, they were treated unfairly, and some were unable to cope with their new normal life after being discharged from the military, honorably or not. This left a few veterans homeless and some with PTSD at the time, hence why @Rolee Mack said to imagine saying those words to those in or formally in the military role.
@Hammer Bro 19 Late comment, but there are also cases of military wives cheating on their husbands while they are away. Some come back to nothing.
And this cuts especially deep in cloud's case considering his _actual_ circumstances behind his being a SOLDIER and all _that_ stuff even he isn't aware of yet if y'all catch my drift.

Thankfully enough I didn't but I almost did...
Glad there isn't an achievement for sneaking out the first try. My only issue achievement wise is the classic Stairs part in chapter 16. There should've been a trophy there for completing that route. 10 minutes worth of stairs climbing and I didn't get an achievement, I bet some of you who played the actual original who took that path for nostaglia, were gutted that trophy never came.

Alot of men underestimate just how capable a woman really is. I mean "women's intuition", reading someone's face expression, true not all women are queens, there are alot of thots out there but that's no exception to underestimate women.
P.S. I don't consider myself a feminist, I'm just saying never underestimate women, even if alot of them are more emotional than us men, prefers to let out their emotions by talking about it with someone they really trust, band together for protection against the darkest nature of man...at times, etc. Note that I said "alot" I don't mean all women, there are also alot of women that are not like that, but that besides the point.

Pair of Socks true, also in the canon book the maiden who travels the planet (written before the compilation stuff) aerith speaks to zack in the lifestream saying that a womanizer like him could never be a true lover, and that in 5 years she may have changed her feelings. From the books ive read and after ac i think square want to tell us that the kind of love between the two is way deeper than the “normal” one, since cloud will never form a couple with tifa nor zack with aerith in the lifestream. They will always feel each other in their heart, reason why square used them as iconic couple on their other products through time. This is at least my interpretation.

I think this is a different timeline resulting from sephiroth travel back in time to accomplish his deeds, thus explaining the arbiter who trying to make sure the path is in the right course, in the end of the game they was blocked by the arbiter and seeing they defeated the arbiter means they are now have a completely new destiny, which could also means that aerith and zack might survived, the timeline goes like this, CRISIS CORE - - > FF7 ORIGINAL - - > ADVENT CHILDREN - - > DIRGE OF CEREBERUS - - > FF7 REMAKE (when sephiroth travel back in time to accomplish his goal) thus explaining the vission they had when they fight with the arbiter, which they had a glimpse of a future that suppose to happen.

The first time I played this I failed miserably the second time I managed to sneak out it took me 2 minutes to navigate. Why is all that stuff just thrown out like that anyway

Aerith clearly stated that she compared Zack to Cloud and she told Zack that she has changed for *5 years*

So Aerith and Zack are past now. Aerith is not interested in Zack anymore.. She dumped Zack because she loves Cloud and Zack knows that.

I honestly felt like the developers were giving me the middle finger and laughing in my face. I spent more time trying to get out of Aerith's house than any other mission or side quest in the game.

Theory:
since Aerith saw you attempting twice to escape, she must've had the idea that Cloud is already leaving the Sector 5 already, so she cleaned up those obstacles in the stairway and left the house immediately and waited for Cloud.
