Too bad sephiroth ran his sword through her before cloud got a chance to.
I think it's that one choice before the first Abzu fight that pretty much counts the most. I did get to choose some of these options, but eventually going for Tifa in Ch. 9 somehow brought me to the Tifa scene, which I feel so proud about.
I wouldn't call that a friendzone. I'd call that more like a cancer patient saying 'Don't love me' cause they know what's coming. Also, 'don't fall in love with me' isn't the same thing as 'I don't love you.' ...it's pretty clear Aerith does feel for him...but she's seen the future, including Advent Children, and realizes how fucked up her death is gonna make him.

That line's actually pretty surprising. Cloud never showed an active interest in romance in the original or advent, aside from the infamous "under the highwind moment". They might actually add genuine romance in this game.
I know it's not a soap opera, but I would really like to see some canon romance between Cloud and Aerith.

My heart would probably explode if they put genuine romance in for cloud and aerith. Hell, it'd be a 9/10 immediately if they actually added romantic events for any of the girls outside of the obvious golden saucer event.

I mean he did feel like he let her die which also broke his oath to Zack to be his living memory. He felt like he let down two people he cared for, not necessarily loved.

@@n0iryt944...I think my point totally flew over your head. Yes, we all know Cloud feels guilty about having failed Aerith. Read the lyrics of "Hollow". Remake is Cloud's chance for a redo. My point is that his guilt over his failure to protect Aerith had nothing to do with Zack. Whether you believe that guilt was caused by love or simply by friendly feelings is irrelevant to the point I was trying to make.
This is the only scene where aerith will run out of words vs cloud..
I also notice cloud that... he always has a response to what aerith says.. He's not only listens but he appreciates every word of aerith says..
The way i see this, is that the opposite is also true. She is building her own wall as she is also having her own genuine attraction to cloud in spite of (maybe) her knowledge of future demise.
Cloud is the one who is living in the moment, Aerith is the one clinging on a timeline which might exist no longer.
I'll never understand why people ship Cloud and Tifa more . Especially when I watch some letsplays . It's disgusting how people play and deliberately ignore the fact that Cloud has fallen in love with Aerith . As they say that Cloud is Tifa's true love . Where did they get this? He's absolutely not in love with her . Just real typical friends . And with Aerith, he sometimes flirts . Cloud flirts himself, and everyone ignores it . Then they enjoy the hugging scene , which is as non-romantic as possible. And then they ignore that in the scene with Aerith, Cloud confessed his love . I am very afraid that the developers will look at all this . They will see that people still love Tifa more, and because of this, they will make the ending of Cloti, show that Cloud fell in love with her through force, but fell in love . This is my nightmare . I am sure that Final fantasy 7 always had the idea that the main character loses his true love and then can not live normally without her . I say one hundred percent that everything was so .
I haven't played the remake, but I didn't realize people ship Cloud and Tifa more LOL. If this were so, I think part of it is because MAYBE Aerith being gone so people kind of want Cloud to be happy and move on (romantically). I didn't see Cloud thinking of Tifa as more than just good friends thou (jmo--then again I've not played the remake LOL--I'm just basing this on my experience with the original).
In a way that is their plan actually. They are really afraid of Clerith, so they make sure to spread that Cloti is more popular. However Cloti is only more popular in the fandom. Clerith is more popular in the mainstream audience, the common people who don't engage in discussions. Yes, Clerith is MUCH more popular than Cloti in the common audience. The common audience who cried with Aerith's death. Because she was the love interest. They felt trolled by the game by removing her. The fandom on the other hand, Clotis, don't even think her death is that important. They think it is the lifestream scene the most important moment in FF7. However, which scene is marked in the History of Video Games as One of The Most Important Moments ever? It is Aerith's death, not the lifestream sequence. Because Aerith's death IS more popular, because it what the majority thinks, not the fandom, the loud minority.
The whole point of remake is to try to save Aerith and get another chance with her. It is about all the players who felt her loss in OG and want another chance. Hollow emphasizes that, a broken Cloud who could never move on from Aerith and is willing to do anything get another chance. Regardless if she will live or not (I hope she does) it is very clear that the developers want to show that Cloud loves Aerith romantically.
Gosh even Tifa's resolution we get Tifa acknowledging Cloud and Aerith having something (when she realized the flower of the reunion meant the reunion of Cloud and Aerith and not her and Cloud). The whole symbolism of the reunion as well. If the developers do try to ruin it by following the mad Cloti fanbase, they are basically ruining the whole story they created and trolling Clerith fans who have been waiting for YEARS for the reunion of Cloud and Aerith and for them to have another chance.
Regardless if Cloud and Tifa ended together post OG and in AC (it is debatable, I personally don't think they are together), we never got this chance with Aerith at ALL. The whole premise of this remake is to have this chance with Aerith NOW. Square Enix would really be the ultimate trollers if destroy the possibility of Clerith happening

That was how Tifa was able to save Cloud xD And I honestly believe that CloTis who disregard Cloud and Aerith's connection are the ones who didnt pay any attention to the OG or the game...Cleriths or those who believe in their connection are more perceptive. Im pretty sure the FF7R team cant say Clerith is apparent or else Clotis will lose their shit.

Aerith warned Cloud to not fall in love with her because she knows what will happen to her in the future, and she knows that Cloud will suffer so much because he loves her, she could just said something like don’t worry about me but she chooses to say “don’t fall in love with me” because she knows he does in OG. The reaction of Cloud when Aerith dies and all the pain he carries after that shows how much Cloud cared for her.

Well, it's hard not to touch someone like that when you're in love with them. It's reaffirmation of Aerith's own feelings for Cloud and how conflicted she was while attempting to warn him not to fall for her. That's how you know this scene *wasn't* a friend-zone or a rejection from Aerith but an attempt from her to protect Cloud. Sorry though, girl. Love is love, and pretending that it's not real or merely a play of the imagination isn't going to make it go away. The Japanese script makes the conflict between her love for Cloud and her desire to protect him super clear because of what she says at the end of the scene after he basically shoots down her warning: "Even though it's frustrating, I'm happy."
How is it possible to not fall in love with her when she is so damn perfect!

Erik Hackney Japanese voice is way better. Miles better, I hate her character because of the English, it’s really that bad. They fucked her face up in the game too. She looked absolutely beautiful in advent children and her English voice was a solid 10/10. She was angelic beauty in that movie but not in this game. Now she looks like duchess Kate from the uk.

Here, Aerith feels she is falling in love with Cloud and knows he is too. That is why she gives the warning because she knows what the future holds for them.
Didn't know this was a thing. He seemed genuinely hurt when she told him it's not real.
I think Aerith in this timeline knows Cloud has Zack's memories. That's why she says 'it's not real', she thinks his love is just Zack's memory.
@@anzeg- I can't decide one way or another. Both options are valid. 1. She says that to cushion the blow because she knows she's going to die. 2. Because of what you say, that she knows he isn't true to himself, that his feelings may not be his own. I straight away thought number 2 when I first saw the scene though. Could go either way

What I'm also really interested in is the possibility Jessie is still alive and whether she was faking her interest in Cloud ( Wedge tries to warn you she's acting, and she says Psych whenever anything serious is mentioned )

@@user-df8lp9zq8s Yeah, he had a crush on Tifa in his childhood, but as an adult, in the start of the game his feelings for Tifa is more in the tune of him reminiscing. Tifa is a part of him. He does love her, but that love is close to like.... sibling? But not really. He does harbour attraction for her, obviously aswell. It's just different when he's known her all his life.
Just that Aerith is the girl that made him whole again. He loves them both, but in a "what if"-scenario he definatly could see himself being with Aerith and having Tifa as his best friend.
In advent children it's never shown or stated (to keep us guessing) but it's not a stretch to assume that Cloud and Tifa was a thing, but due to Cloud getting sick he left... to die alone.

I don't know about y'all, i've been a tifa fan since the beginning but i feel like this should be canon in the remake they should've taken out the relationship meter or the player choices who they want as a lover or not .. I like my Tifa scene but this right here and the scene where Aerith is talking to the flowers breaks my heart in so many pieces DAMN TEARS !!!!
I always thought it was canon that Cloud falls in love with Aerith. His reaction to her death is so heartbreaking. After Cloud regains his memory, it is plausible for Cloud to move on and fall for Tifa. But I will always believe Cloud loved Aerith first.
@@andreseh87 Well in Japan before they were Canon a Novella named On The Way To a Smile Cloud and Aerith was called Koibito which means Lover .. Square also confirms that both of them were in a relationship or love each other .. Also its evident Cloud love Aerith in the original even continuing in Advent Children which Cloti shippers keep denying ..
Then through the years square keeps changing some storyline or added some things just to please FANBASE which that time was TifaxCloud were the most dominant .. So they came out with new Novellas and Ultimania leaning more towards Tifa and Cloud confusing people now just to sell more from FF7 world lol ..

It's not really a relationship meter. You can get a Barret scene too
All three resolution scenes happened- it's player's choice on which you seem but all three happen the same night (Barret= early evening, Tifa's= midnight, Cloud's resolution = dawn). This scene is Cloud's resolution scene (his reason for going to fight Shinra is his feelings for Aerith).
Hopefully this remake will provides alternate endings to end the ship wars. Cloti fans coming in here to push their ship is annoying :/

In the game this is an optional scene but all the resolution scenes happen during that night. What player gets to see in the game is up to their choices. Aerith does not friendzone Cloud here. She knows her fate and warns Cloud to save him from all the pain he went through. But Cloud wants to get a say in his own feelings
Why do people think Cloud got Zack's memories and feelings? If you played the OG, then you'll know that Cloud created his own memories, he created the memory he was a soldier and based his persona on Zack, he never got his memory or feelings. I've seen this misconception alot and has been debunked for thousands of times.
Please stop spreading this around, it's really misleading. New players might believe it, that's the worst part.

@@garysmithfan1432 No he started forgetting Zack when he died, after Zack gives his Buster sword to Cloud, Cloud went to midgar and meet Tifa, that's the part where he started messing up his own head. It was stated in the OG, that Cloud created his own illusionary world, he created his own memories based on what he had seen in his life, he created the idea that he was a soldier because he was embarrassed and then he based it on the things Zack told him, hence his soldier persona.
Before he was poisoned with mako, he was still normal. It was after the experiment that Cloud's mind is starting to break.

I've never played the original or know much about original story but I was happy to get this scene. I'm a sucker for tragic love stories and I really love their friendship. Barrett is my other fav character. Tifa is awesome too

@@casualgamer3040...Zack's relationship with Aerith in the OG was minor. Her past relationship with him was merely to set up the backstory to how she eventually comes to find true love with Cloud. Zack's death in CC was dramatized in an attempt to make Zack more important than what he was originally intended to be...so, meh. Cloud and Aerith's relationship will always be superior and more emotional to me because they were the original.
I think the dream scene is the moment when Cloud realizes he's falling for Aerith and that he didn't want to try to fight it.

For me, HE TRULY fell in love with her, even people say it's Zack's memories I think feelings cannot be own from other, even in the first game he opened him even laugh and not even ask for money or more.

I know that Aerith in the remake appears to know the future, but this dream Aerith goes further and is more cryptic and foreshadowing than usual. To me, the dream Aerith is a Quantum Aerith speaking from the lifestream through time. Like in Evangelion when Shinji saw a quantum Rei apparition in the first scene of the show, and it makes sense only when you get to the end of the story.
You got a good point. Feels like it's the old Aerith talking. I noticed her and Cloud never discussed this again after they were reunited at the Shinra building, like it never happened. But then again they haven't had any alone time since then.

I feel like at 3:30 she's totally foreshadowing that she is going to die. She's praying, her hands clinged together like at the city of the ancients right before Sephiroth takes her life. I feel so much for Cloud because all the events that lead to Advent Children are actually tragic. Cloud doesn't recover from her death and it strains the relationships he has with others, particularly Tifa who is the one he pushes away the most and Tifa is such a good person, she doesn't deserve that! I was very confused about the curve ball the developers threw at us but the more I think about the original story, Advent Children and the organic chemistry the characters had on the remake, the more I want the story to change so that it doesn't lead to Advent Children. An ending where our heroes have absolution and closure even if Aerith dies.
Oh my God! That scene is so perfectly beautiful that it makes me want to cry.
This is their love, a perfect connection of two souls that cannot be together.
I hope a happy ending for them at least in this Remake !🍀🌷

The protagonist suffers because the girl he loves is taken from him, and that slab keeps dragging it. They can't be together.

She tries to tell Cloud in a dream. Does Aerith know her destiny in this timeline? . Because Sephiroth can go back time by using lifestream to create his new destiny, it's mean Aerith can do the same. Both can control the lifestream.
I've watched a podcast of Maximilian Dood and the others and he theorizes that this vision of Aerith is future Aerith trying to drop cryptic plotpoints to Cloud.

I believe she does. When Cloud and Aerith reunite in the church, she lies through her teeth that she doesn't know what her materia does and that it does nothing. She was planning on using it all along to counter meteor and knew the dangers of it. Im not sure if she knew she was going to die, but she knew it as a stark possibility.

I’m 30 y.o and have been playing video games my whole life... whenever asked my favorite I’d always say Star Ocean 2, then metal gear solid... later in life a new favorite stuck in my memory was dark souls 3 and persona 5... now this became one. It’s really really is not very often that a game becomes a favorite of mine... this was a masterpiece
They're aware of what happens. Aerith is especially aware of the events of OG FF VII.
The exchanges between Cloud and Aerith are noticeably subtle yet different, like they've lived it before.
She knows she's going to die. And he's subtle about it but he's aware of something. His body language and approach to conversation suggests he's met her before, but can't quite remember why.

"Their spot" is a church. You get married and confess your love in a church, or recite your vowels. You go there for hope, or to find sanctuary, and Cloud fell through the roof of the church breaking his fall on a bed of flowers tended to by Air Earth, Aerith, by a white mage local florist who upon Clouds first meeting she gives him the same flower saying about it symbolizes when lovers reunite, this Aerith at this point who knows all future events. In rebirth, she knows her time is coming andvconfesses to him in "their spot". Looking like Zack drew her closer to Cloud, but she also wanted to bring out the real Cloud as she knows his mind his fractured.
By Rebirth, she lost her precious memories, and still wanted to find the real Cloud. Then, In Zacks dying world, coma Aerith and coma Cloud wake up and this Aerith gives her younger self her future memories through Cloud after again confessing in a church. She drops her hair for Cloud as she wanted him to see her before pushing him down back to his own world. Our Aerith then regains all of her memories. Its absolutely a starcrossed romance.
Even Zack is a bro. Hes impressed Cloud became who he is, leading in battle, and he knows he has to save Cloud so that Cloud can save Aerith. That and Cisnei is waiting for him backbin Gongonga along with his parents. And Tifa has her close friend from Nibleheim and her new family of friends from Advent Children. Plus Rude and Johnny.
Aerith, Cloud is her kobito/lover and everything important to her that should be protected. She does not rejoin the Lifestream because and wants Cloud to see her as she knows him.
When i got the scene and she said don't fall in love with me i immediately said too late for that because i already have

I am not sure if the # of side quest that you did in chapter 8 (Aerith), and the # of side quests you did in chapter 3 (Tifa) will have an effect on this outcome. Did you happen to get a scene with Tifa where you get to choose what she should wear?

Keff Keff I played through a few times and the only difference for me so far is who you pick after falling in the sewer. I’ve done every quest and challenge. I’m pretty sure who you choose to help triggers the scene.
@@keffkeff160 hi! Do you want to get Tifa's scene? I believe that if you choose her in the sewer scene you'll see her scene instead of this one. I've done all the sidequests in the sector 7 slums, chose her in the sewer and "no, thanks" in the hotel.
I don't think that's a normal dream. That might be the future Aerith from the lifestream in the original timeline. Warning cloud to not fall in love with her so it doesn't hurt so much when you-know-what happened.
Sephiroth probably experienced something similar to this, this would explain his insanity. Still so many secrets to Sephiroth's past, what he went through. Becoming a hero, then turning bad. There is definitely a reason.
Kirin Ranchu would be cool if we get to see more of him. Maybe making sure Sephiroth never turns bad is the key to changing everything.

Because of how the Remake ended, it seems like the whole "defy fate" theme is about slowly and permanently shifting timelines and cannon. I personally don't know if that is good or not for the rest of the series, as it is treading a very thin line of catering to the fans of the OG FF7 and new comers.
OK, so that is not accurate.
The Ultimania revealed how the point system for the Resolutions scenes works and it's as so :
- 2 points for Tifa, for each side quests you complete in Chapter 3.
- 2 points for Aerith, for each side quests you complete in Chapter 8.
- 1 point for the girl you wake up first in the sewer in Chapter 10.
The others choices you make are mostly "fake" choices who will not change anything.
You can't refuse Aerith's flower.
You can't refuse Tifa's drink.
If you end up with less than 5 points with each girls it will unlock Barret's resolution.
Choose Tifa for Tifa's resolution.
Aerith for Cloud's resolution.
The choices you make in Chapter 9 are influencing the side quests you will unlock and with that the dress Cloud will wear.
The other choice that have an influence is the one for Tifa's dress if you do all the Chapter 3 side quests.
Mature for the blue dress. Sporty for the Chinese inspired dress (my personal favorite
I reaally think all of the 3 scenes happened altogether for the sake of the lore and cannon of the story... Maybe cloud had this dream and upon waking up from it, the tifa scene followed, then headed back but cloud is still torn inside his love life situation, ya know so much contemplating going on so he still cant fall asleep... Then then barret scene to top it all off

This is most likely true. The order is Barret first (he says he's going to sleep after), Then Tifa, (It seems to be in the middle of the night), Aerith is last (because she says, it's almost morning). And Aerith also fits into the next day's "She's calling to me, I can feel it." I've seen quite a bit of people confused about that part when they dont get the Aerith Scene. Kinda funny.

Seems like some kind of points system, similar to what the original did with the Gold Saucer stuff. Whichever of Tifa or Aerith you got the most points with, you go their scene. But honestly, after watching this, I’m not a fan. The game doesn’t indicate at all that there’s anything of the sort going on, and some of the correct choices shown here for Aerith are not that obvious. Plus, having gotten the Tifa scene myself, I feel like this one is just so much more impactful and plot relevant. Makes me a bit upset that I didn’t see it for myself in my actual playthrough.
@@bruhvenant...I thought I was the only one who feels that Aerith's scene was more relevant and meaningful to the narrative of the game. I mean, the game's theme of "life" is touched on in this conversation with Cloud. Her conversation with him also revolves around a huge upcoming event of the game that will eventually impact Cloud for the rest of his life. Her scene was also relevant to the current event of the others coming to her rescue. Tifa's is...her crying about how she lost everything and then her getting a much-too-tight-hug from Cloud? I dunno. Tifa's scene, to me, feels a lot more like fanservice than anything. It's like, the scene was about a hug and they simply needed Cloud to have a reason to give her one so they bring up her feelings regarding the crashing of the plate(in the midst of an event where they're all supposedly focused on saving Aerith)? I dunno. It doesn't...quite...fit?

I wasn't aware that this was a optional scene. I feel like I didn't do all of the correct optional choices but I've played the game on/off since it released so who knows. I definitely went with "No, thanks" on the hotel one though
This to me is proof that the idea that there will be a choice to save Aerith in the next game is definitely wrong.
also should mention doing her side quests in Chapter 8(?) improves your chances too, and not doing Tifas side quests in Chapter 3(?). But being good to aerith on the choices and turning down everything for Tifa will probably make it happen without doing the quests.
I'm not sure all options are required. I done everything mentioned int he video with the exception of the hotel option and I still got the love dream sequence

If you chose "not in the mood" when Tifa offered a drink, and you still chose the other options for Aerith then you MIGHT still get this scene.

@@Ginebraxt1 you can replay some of the chapters to change your choices in order to get the desired scene in chapter 14.

I don't think you HAVE to pick the exact choices listed here. I picked 'how much?' at the the inn and the dress 'looks comfortable' and still gets Aerith scene later. I think the only choice that matters is the sewer where you choose between checking on Tifa or Aerith.
I had this cut scene and made different choices then the video said would work.
Seeing as the remake is a reimagining and the story is based on rewriting fate, there's a very real chance we save Aerith and this becomes a reality.

Actually I do believe it's leafs and not feathers. When you stand in this part of the garden you will sometimes see leafs flying in the wind even out of cut scenes.

I don't think the dress comment is mandatory because got this scene in my first playthrough, and I said "Looks comfortable." All my other choices were the same though.
