Same here, I haven’t seen this channel before but watching someone experience FFX for the first time is amazing and you could tell MissKyliee enjoyed it
Man I remember telling my little sister "good luck with the ending of the game" while having an kinda evil smirk on my face. After I heard her crying like crazy I knew she finished the game. This game is a special experience and I will always treasure it.
DID THE SAME TO LIL BRO!!!!!!!!!!!! boy never did i think someone could vomit cry lmao but worth the vision to see him go from will be fine to yeah a puking mess haha kodak moment as it was bak then lol
ive finished this game so many times in my 31 years of life now. same here. everytime i see it, i burst into tears. Plus i went to the final fantasy distant worlds orchestra past year. when they played to zanarkand i got goosebumps and had tears in my eyes, feeling this exact sadness mixed with the positive emotions coming from seeing this orchestra live.
@@Poitisan It's a consequence of catharsis. Catharsis itself is the process by which we feel strong emotions when watching an emotionally charged play/movie/etc, which in turn helps us expunge our own negative emotions.
@@cyberjarl The worst is hard farming for max stats and realizing unlike x2 there is no new game plus mode. Maybe I am just too used to Tales of Games.
I've never cried to a movie, book or even story, before or after. When the piano starts, as Tidus starts to fade.. That's when I knew for sure and the tears came, the way this game grabbed my heart, how all the pieces came together in the end, this is why it's, in my opinion, the best game that I've ever played, reason why I started playing piano,I just had to be able to play To Zanarkand, and I did. :) I was 12, now pushing 34, still the best.
The sudden change to the potato filter in Zanarkand at such a pivotal moment storywise made me laugh so hard 😂 Seeing your reaction to Yunalesca's outfit with just the mouth and eyes was 10x funnier than it should have been to me But seriously, thanks for uploading this. I love revisiting my favorite game alongside people, especially on their first playthrough. It's such a magical game, and I love seeing others' reactions
First I saw Nyxipuff have an emotional breakdown Then I saw Pekora have an emotional breakdown then I saw Frankie have an emotional breakdown And Now I have seen Miss Kyliee have an emotional breakdown.... I'm just collecting Final Fantasy emotional breakdowns like it's Pokemon at this point
I'd argue anyone who doesn't show any emotions while playing FF10 is emotionally dead. The game is great at making you laugh at times, it can make you cringe at times (Laughing scene, and I do think it is supposed to do that, and succeeds with honor), and has several moments including the end that will just hit you right in the feels.
I can't put how I'm feeling into words well enough to justify it, but I'll try. This is one of my favourite games, so will always hold a special place inside me. I've been having a really hard time lately. I've been unable to sleep unless it's through exhaustion from crying. Seeing your genuine reactions to the beats of this story not only validated how much it means to me, but you brought out tears of my own that for the first time in far too long, they weren't from feeling empty and hopeless but from feeling filled with emotion from fond memories and of the true human story this game tells. I don't know why the algorithm brought this video to me now, but I really needed it at this time, so thank you for making it! I'm so glad to subscribe, and I hope this story will continue to mean as much to you as it does to me!
@@knox7945 true, that's why it hurts. Many can relate. And we can only honor them by cherishing their memories. "People come and go. But don't be sad that it ended, be glad that it happened."
The Macalania scene is so perfectly done. You can tell how desperately Yuna wanted to take Tidus' offer on abandoning the huge burden on her shoulders, that would ultimately lead to her death, and just living a normal life with her loved ones. Her breaking down into tears knowing she can't just give up the pilgrimage because if she did, some other summoner would just die in her place and she wouldn't be able to forgive herself for it. It's such a powerful scene. Yuna was such a strong willed, selfless character, and that's why she's my favorite FF character. She had so much on her shoulders and took it all in stride. All for the sake of others. Truly a beautiful character.
That's why her sending dance scene is the basis for the game logo, I think. Sure, we're following Tidus as the POV character, but Yuna is the backbone of this story.
Its why they handled the next main protag Vaan in a way. He isnt really the MC of the story, much more so the narrator and perspective of it. @teshtishtoshtesh3218
What always gets me the transformation in Tidus. He didn't want Yuna sacrificing herself, would have ok with abandoning the quest if it meant saving her - and in the end, he sacrifices himself to save her, to save Spira.
She wasn't strong at all. All she did fir most of the game is either cry or gide behind literally everyone else and her position as a summoner. Granted, she did eventually start standing on her own two feet and gained some strength so props for character development, but that was only with everyone else sticking with her with such loyalty as they did. As far not abandoning her quest, she really had no choice. After eyat happened with semour at the temple, the al-bhed at home and the trial in bevelle its the only way to not end up hated by the whole of spira basically as a traitor because of their blind faith in yevon and the temple and the maesters. Which probably would have been disastrous for her quality of life after all that. Not trying to disrespect anyone's opinions, personal interpretation is part of the joys of gaming, just offering my own i to the discussion
That kissing in the lake scene, can you imagine a scene like that in a game from more than 20 years ago? It blows lots of romantic scenes in newer games out of the water
a lot of games romance now cause of stuff like mass effect is talk to them 3 times do a side quest and then sex thats what you want!!!! nond of these games have them talk and even bond
@@troytheboy1985 That's because newer games aren't really about romance, it's just about fulfilling some incel fantasy. They are the creepiest of all table top players, yes even more creepier than the infamous murder hobos.
1:51:28 pause it right there. That is my favorite scene in the whole game. So much to unwrap in that one frame. Yuna, smiles when she’s sad. She smiles when she’s angry. She smiles because the world needs her to. In that one moment, her smile nearly breaks.
I have played through and beaten this game several times over the course of my life, I tear up every time I see the underwater kissing scene, every time Jecht dies, every time Auron gets sent, and I sob every time I see the ending. Especially the moment that Yuna phases through Tidus as she tries to stop him from leaving. I love this game.
15 years of playing that story again and again and again. And I still cry each time I play the ending. That's how you know it was a good story. Never let anyone run their mouth about FFX.
I miss the generation of games FFX belongs too. That was truly a great time to be a gamer. No politics, no message just good music, good stories and good gameplay. And music and stories that combined to be emotionally moving, much more so then games made today. Where I can forget music from games almost soon after hearing them. I can name any moment in FFX where the music plays.
You were all of us the first time we saw that ending, it's one of the best in the franchise but definitely one of the most gut wrenching too, 20+ years later and I still start sobbing when Yuna goes through Tidus.
To this day I think FFX you aren't playing Yuna, and you see the Story of Tidus, but he also is kind of a side character in Yunas story. That was a very interesting concept for me. And yeah, the scene hits REALLY hard, especially since she thought she would sacrifice herself, but then dared to hope for more - and it is taken from her. It is a rough moment for the player to watch, since she literally can't hold on to her hope and dream. What many forget however is another character, that isn't center in the scene. Wakka lost someone that he clearly viewed as a little brother, after losing his actual brother to sin. If you look at his reaction in the end it is similarly crushing.
@@Rakshiir And when you look back, when Wakka warned him initially to not fall in love with Yuna, it wasn't him being protective of Yuna, but because he didn't want Tidus to go through a heartbreak due to Yuna's supposedly impending demise.
I remember playing this for the first time when I was back at school in my early teens. I clearly remember rushing home every night after school and playing this game until bed time every night until it was finished. It really was an incredible journey and story. And yep, I cried like a baby at the end, and just remember feeling a huge hole in my chest for a long time after. It hits hard no matter what age you are, but I am certain it hit me even harder as young teen. It's easily one of my favourite games ever made and I still have Final Fantasy X posters in my room to this day.
Same experience. I bought FFX and borrowed a friend’s PS2 just so I could play the game. Played it everyday after school for a month or so. I suddenly lost my dad when I was a kid, so all the scenes between Tidus and Jecht on top of Yuna’s scenes had me crying for hours at the end.
This is me! It sounds like a total cliché but the game changed my life. I started learning piano afterwards to be able to play To Zanarkand and all the memories of the game is just stuck with me. Now watching these videos after 20 years actually makes my body ache in some weird way.
This is one of my favorite games of all time. I remember playing this when it came out and I couldn't believe it was this deep. It's so sad, but also extremely beautiful. Any game that can stir with someone's emotions like this is a game with great storytelling. And I've also got to give you props for that edit because I cannot imagine how much time it took to combine all that, but it worked so well.
Everyone complains about them showing the Seymour kiss in the montage at the end but I always felt like they did that (and then immediately followed it up with the Tidus water kiss) to drive home the contrast. Yuna fully and completely understands the difference between someone who is with you because they want to posses you, and someone who is with you because they love you.
I'm pretty sure the most choked up that I got in the game when when Auron was disappearing as Yuna began her send-off towards the end. He was easily my favorite character in the game and favorite male character of ANY Final Fantasy game either before or since.
Not only Yuna has lost her lover, but Wakka has lost, once again, a brother and you can see that he cannot even smile or say goodbye to him at the very end of the cutscene
I am 36yrs old now - When I played this game as a teenager in 2001-2002 This was the 1st game that almost made me cry The ending Song playing Suteki Da Ne (Isn't it wonderful) is a masterpiece of a ballad. FFX is in my top 5 games of all time
You were just randomly recommended to me. And I must say I'm a sucker for seeing people play my favorite JRPG for the first time. I love this game and I just love seeing people going thru the motions of this game and its ending. I'm glad you experienced this Final Fantasy. In my eyes it is just timeless.
I've played this game so many times, it's one of the greatest stories ever told. I love watching people experience it for the first time. Thank you for your upload.
I did not believe in fate or purpose until now. After watching this, you are MADE, with your voice and emotions, to play games and experience the stories and share the same emotions your viewer had with your amazing/funny commentary along with the story. I couldn't stop watching. (we wont talk of the potato). It was amazing and fun watching you experience this game and having the emotions together as I relive this experience from so long ago! You randomly popped up in my suggestion (And I am very thankful) and I figured I would watch a few minutes of this video...116 minutes later, I'm tearing up like a small child, excided to see how you will react to the story to come. Please don't ever stop doing videos like this. I'm definitely subscribing and cannot wait to binge watch your channel! Thank you for sharing this story\game and bringing back old emotions!
Well dang this was the sweetest comment I ever received on youtube. I'm happy you enjoyed it so much! I loved FF10 and wish there were more games that made me feel that way. Hope you enjoy the rest of the videos! I mainly stream on Twitch so usually anything uploaded is from past streams edited down. :)
If you ever play this again in the future, you'll notice how some lines hit very differently the second time through. This was so beautiful and fun to watch. Thank you for sharing despite how emotional an experience it is! And FYI, you picked the "You're more my type Lulu" option (28:46) probably because it was funny, but it actually impacts a few cutscenes. Those scenes can either be with Yuna, Rikku, or Lulu depending on some of your choices. - The snowmobile scene (32:13) - And when jumping onto sin (1:25:28) - Just before entering Sin (1:28:15) I know you probably won't read this, but thanks again for sharing your experience with this story!
It's so amazing that a whole new generation of gamers are finding this game and its incredible ending. I remember plowing through this game Christmas break of 2001. I was 17 at the time and I ugly cried through that whole ending to the point my mom came in to check on me. "I'm sorry to couldn't show you Zanarkand" just broke me. If FF7 taught me what loss is, FFX taught me what love is. Fun fact about this ending is that this was the first time the phrase "I love you" was said in the entire FF series. Reason being Sakaguchi never felt that the words could mean enough if it was text, it needed to be said. FFX was the first FF game to be fully voiced.
@@greengardens6959 I overall like the English localization very much but this particular difference lead to an unwillingly funny moment during the otherwise sad ending if you were playing the PS2 original in German. The German subtitles were translated with the original Japanese texts as a source and therefore, when Yuna said [the EU version came with English synchronisation only] "I love you!" the subtitles plainly said "Danke." which feels much less emotional. ("Ich danke dir..." would have been much closer to the emotional meaning of the Japanese original. "Danke" is something you say to your baker after buying bread... and much closer to "Thanks" than to "Thank you" in terms of the emotional weight.) So, the difference in the level of emotionality between spoken words and subtitles always cracked me up a little. (Might be the reason why I never cried during the ending because I was too busy chuckling about this.) In later re-releases, however, the German subtitle was reworked for this scene and now says "Ich liebe dich" ("I love you") as well.
One of the greatest stories ever told. To this day even knowing exactly what happens, this ending makes me so damn sad. Everything from the visuals, dialogue and music are literally perfect. That perfection is the only way a scene can still be so emotionally impactful.
This is how I felt at age 18-ish when FFX first came out. I cried for ages. I'm crying again watching it here over 20 years on. What an amazing emotional experience. 😢❤
Same for me. Played it at release and cried that hard. Now 20 years later to see this, i cried again. I think ff10 is the one game i never forget even after the next 20 years. Is one of the emotionales games ever.
It has been a long time since the game first made me cry. Gets me every time. This is top tier writing, because the story, ideas and themes as well as the characters hold up for that long. Those are timeless. One of the best FF, and since Square is remaking some of them: I like FF8, but that one could use some changes, because the writing isn't as good. But FF9 and 10? Those could be remade but you don't really need to do much, both games are really well written. I know it is a VERY different genre, but those two could use the Dead Space remake treatment: just add a few details, but have the story, character ect. as it was, because it was damn good back then, and it is still damn good today
I just want to say thank you. Thank you for loving the game and more importantly, thank you for GETTING IT. I can't remember the last time I watched any youtube video all the way though, let alone a reaction video or game walkthrough but I'm about to stay up until 3am so I can watch your X-2 video. Then I'm starting my 1st play through in a few years. I love when someone experiences the FF X story for the first time.
I’ve said this too many other reactors, but it doesn’t make it any less true, this game changed my life and made me want to be a better person. I was a cocky little arrogant asshole of a teenager, but after playing this game my whole worldview changed. I know it sounds silly, but it’s true. It’s the sad stories that stick with you and change you as a person. 20 years later, and I still have an emotional breakdown anytime I see the ending. Trust me I was crying right along with you.❤ This in my personal opinion is the best game that has ever been or ever will be made story wise!
That’s how I felt about ffix, when he spared his brother (iykyk). Very profoundly inspiring and enlightening for those who were stuck in poor mindsets.
I still remember playing that game as a kid for the first time, i spent the whole month of July in 2002 playing the heck out of that game, my mom was really concerned because i was crying sometimes playing it xD love to see im not alone
Don't know how I came across your video - thanks the RUclips algorithm - but it's so lovely to relive this game again. The story of FFX is always so heart-breaking. 😭
I remember being 13 years old back in 2003 and beating this. Cried my ass off. Didn't know what loss was until I saw this ending hahaha. Glad to see it still has that effect on people. This IS the best FF game out there.
I remember my buddy making me play this at his house after school everyday for about a week. The finale and this scene ended up happening at like 5am and were both on the bed like trying to hide the fact that were both totally crying lol. Oh highschool memories . damn this one got me.
This was my very first game for the PS2 which I bought at 13 for myself. This game is my childhood and I love to replay and/or watch it regularly. Thank you for the emotional journey throught it once more.
1:49:36 I’ve watched several play throughs and I don’t think this was ever pointed out. Yuna also later says “the dreams that have faded” which is also directly referencing Tidus. Thanks for playing ‘til the end!
I played this on PS2 in high school when it came out. I played a partial run more recently, just trying to get all the things I missed in the game the first time, but I haven't seen the ending a 2nd time since high school. It was kind of neat to see most of the story all conjoined without some of the 20 to 30mins of exp farming here or there that ends up happening and the rest with side quests and all. It's definitely interesting to ponder where people are now. Some of us moved & don't live in the area we grew up. Some of us met for all of 60secs, never to see each other again. Seeing this ending and that sort of flash back brings back a lot of memories. You can place the scene in your mind, but you can't shake their hand, or give them a high five, or give them a hug. Sort of like how Yunie went through Tidus - no longer within reach. Some of us are connected without even realizing we're connected - Impacted by a game like FFX.
Yes, I've felt this way about all of the PS1-2 FFs; we didn't know it then, but we had been inducted into an eternal brother/sisterhood, and I'm so glad to have this connection with all of you, all of us.
Thanks for this. I don't think I've seen any of your other videos before, but you damn near made me cry. This game was the first to ever make me cry and will forever hold a special place in my heart. I used to have the FFX theme on ps4 and some days I'd just let it play the theme song in the background. I think I kinda needed this
such an emotional game, I've watched so many reaction videos for that ending which is enough to break even the strongest of people. 2 hours well spent :)
For the last 20 years this has been my favourite game, my first console was the playstation 2 and my first game was this one, i knew nothing about this game i just looked at it and wanted it because the box looked cool, i have never finished this game without crying in 20 years, the i hate you to jecht and the goodbye to yuna fuck me up every time. And i'm the least emotional person i know
Thank you. I know FF8 was super janky, esp against the backdrop of the last 1990s and the hype train started by FF7, but 8 was my first FF and it will always have a place in my heart. Objectively speaking, we can't deny that it had a banger soundtrack (can Uemitsu do any wrong?) and the ending cutscene was awe inspiring as well. After going thru 4 discs of the saga, to see everybody like that, to have Garden float so serenely thru the heavens, and have the kiss at the end, it was all so perfect.
I remember playing this for the first time when it came out. It was so easy to get invested into the story and characters and still one of my favourite games for that reason. I loved Yuna, she was so kind, hard and unique with her heterochromia. The whole narrative aspect sucks you in and it punches you in the heart with such an emotional ending, probably more than the scene at the end of disc 1 in FFVII. Watching your reactions was cute and I wish I could play it again for the first time to experience it again.
I beat this game when I was 9 years old. I didn't really understand love at the time, but when I played this game, it started to click for me. What Yuna and Tidus had really hit me in the gut. Even today, I still do the ugly cry, because its just beautiful.
Watching someone play through for the first time gives me the warm and fuzzies and just puts a smile on my face. I love this game so much. If I could forget a game it would be this one just to re-live. The kiss scene with Suteki da ne playing is just perfection.
@37:18 Miss Kyliee, you were so cute when you were imitating Yuna & Tidu's laugh... Ahahhahaha!! I was giggling and laughing while eating... :))... It's so amazing to watch a younger person play Final Fantasy X which I played before when it first came out in 2001 back in highschool.. :) I'm 38 now.. haha!! Watching your reactions is a whole new experience, it's refreshing. Yeah, it's like watching a movie with a bestfriend
loved your emotions . watching the ending with you i was balling my eyes out because of your emotions. i already knew what happened but your emotions... i cant deal instant tears down my face
Played this on release, amazing game. Will replay it one day but cant pass videos of others experiencing it the first time. Loved your reaction and glad you got to experience this emotional masterpiece aswell.
Im so happy to find this video. Watching the full story again im still crying at the end and i know how you felt. One of the best endinga ever made in a game and will always be
These kinds of endings are the best kinds of endings. They're the ones you remember. Having a "happy ending" is a trope and easily forgotten. But what happened in this game sticks with you because it's real.
Every time I see a post about FFX I challenge myself not to cry at the ending.. I've watched that ending at least over 2 dozen times.. I never win 😭 if not the dialogue and story that get me, its the music. "To Zanarkand" is such a gorgeous composition.. ❤
I never thought I would come across another game series that would affect me emotionally as much as FFX did but Xenoblade Chronicles did. I wish I hadn't gotten into it so late starting with 3, but even just playing 3 by itself was an extremely emotional journey much like FFX was. I would recommend that series, starting with 1. I think it would be very worth it.
Chrono Cross too. Or Bloodbourne, easily the best built world. Also having 1 of the best combat system ever also elevates it to an extremely high level.
Your channel just showed up today with this video. I remember playing this back when it first released and going through the same emotional roller coaster you did here. I've played through it countless times and everytime it always hits me the same! Watching you go thru this, brough it it all back as if I was there playing it too. Such a powerful story and so well executed that it can bring out the same emotions across different people from different ages. Timeless classic doesn't even begin to describe it. Glad you loved it so much =D
The Good news is you're not alone - we've all cried to this ending. The bad news is you will still cry every time you play this game and get to this point, it doesnt make it hurt less :D
What an amazingly experience, my absolute favourite game. 33yr old now and played as a teenager, baby cried every single time! (You're alot of fun to watch btw, loved the stream!)
the first time I played FFX was on ps2 in 2001 and I was not ready for an end like this today I'm 30 Years old since the 1st February, and I'm still crying when I watch this end scene
I love how millions of us all randomly gather, dozens at a time, in these sacred places throughout the years, often years and miles apart, just like in the Farplane. We didnt know it back then, but we had all been connected by FFX. We are the all changed. Imagine the joy in the dev team's faces when they think of the masterpiece of their entite careers, and how much it's touched everybody. I really love this fraternity and I'm so glad I was fortunate enough to have been inducted into it.
In my early 20s when this game came out, and I remember tearing up hard on this scene. You just love the characters, and the journey so much to have it end in that manner was an emotional punch.
Me too. I had a very rough break up and was going through some heavy emotional trauma with all things going on at the time of this release. I did the whole isolating myself from everyone, not answering door, blankets over windows, etc. Played the hell out of the game. Ending stuck with me 2 decades later. Instant tears. Fantastic game. I’m in such a better place with my life and career, and all my relationships are healthy. Times are tough out there with the state of the world. I hope everyone is doing well out there. It’s so cool something as simple as a video game can transcend generations and get all us here talking. I wish it was that easy out there IRL.
I'd like to mention that your reaction for the kiss scene at Macalania forest was absolutely amazing. When I first found your channel I jumped right to the ending scene but when I started watching the whole thing, this was a real journey to remember. I wish to subscribe to your channel.
I feel you. I cried a lot too a decade ago when I finished this game for the first time on the original PS2. As a grown man with 2 kids, I still cry till these days everytime I watch the ending. 😭
Once again the algorithm works I always love seeing people play ffx for the first time. It was my first ff game and I remember all the feelings of my first playthrough.
The whole game is great in terms of writing. Alot of great characters, arcs, great chemistry between them. The end is so bittersweet. It is a happy ending, but one with great loss. It is also interesting that you play Tidus, but looking at the whole story, you are more of a side character in Yunas journey, if you think about it. And for her, I feel like there is a great quote from Rocky 3 I think (not sure which one). It's not about how hard you can hit it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward She saved the world from sin, but took such a hard hit. From her thinking that she will die to actually having a chance to survive and hoping to be with her love just to have it taken away. And since their chemistry actually works well and both characters are likeable, the end hits even harder - making it one of the saddest moments in all of the Final Fantasy games. When I played it the first time, the last scene with Tidus to me was more the idea that he is in the afterlife but actually contempt with what he did. I thought this - as sad as it is - is actually a good ending for the story and Tidus. Spoilers below, if you haven't played the follow up game, you have been warned: I am not sure how I feel about the later story. You can achieve what you could call a overall happy ending for Tidus and Yuna, I am however torn between if that is better or not. The FFX ending was a bit more rooted in reality, it is sad, bittersweet, but somehow satisfying. But I also get why people want a "real" happy ending in games and movies, hope is a big theme in the games and is important to us as human beings, so having such an ending which is more on the side of good vibes and hope feels great for many - and I'd include myself here.
I love final fantasy 10, its one of the longest vids on my channel, but I enjoy and I am just loving watching people's reaction to the game for the first time. I have just subscribed to your channel. Your personality is so fun, I am excited to watch the rest but wanted to comment on the start that this is amazing and I hope you enjoyed the game.
Thank you for sharing your reactions to one of my favourite games. I loved seeing your genuine and unfiltered reaction. Same as all of us. Honestly, when i played the final minutes of the game, my father, wo i had a pretty Jecht/Tidus relationship to, sat next to me and watched the end together with me. And even though he had no idea of the story, since he watched nothing else, it made even him tear up... So i guess you have to be a literal rock not to fall apart after the ending, when you have gone through all the story together with its characters.
Great video! I ugly cried a few times on my first play through. Now that I have a son of my own, the scenes with Jecht talking about how he loved Tidus just kill me even more.
I played this so long ago when I didn't understand the themes of death and love; as soon as I saw the thumbnail for this video, I knew it would be emotional. Thanks for uploading
I'm always happy to see people play FFX for the first time. It was my first FF game I finished and lawdy did I cry like a baby. No I'm not here watching this at work trying not to cry either. (Thanks yt algorithm for giving me this vid)
Hi , kinda late to comment but here we go. Been a huge final fantasy fan for years. Obviously huge gamer , one thing that bothers me is that I never really had somebody to share my games with. So seeing somebody else's reactions on one of my most precious FF games , moves me deeply. I feel like I have some other soul finally understand. Played the game several times , always brought me to tears. Was crying with you in the end. Subscribed to your channel. I hope I see more good content in the future. If you would like to do more Final Fantasy reactions may I suggest 8? Both the gameplay as well as the story are a little bit unorthodox. However , the characters and their arcs are a pure rollercoaster.
Wife and daughter at dance practice. Me? Home alone crying together with some youtube person I never watched before, recommended while watching random Asmon clips. Appreciate your company, it was a sad but somehow yet enjoyable 2 hours.
You did a great job editing this, must have been tough ! I cheered with you when you said "LOVE EXISTS I DON'T CARE" ahaha, it does !! But in the end, it can hurts, BUT IT EXISTS :D I never forgot their love, like Yuna asks us at the end, it contributed to the person and the boyfriend I am today :)
"Hey, I was just going over your notes, you say you want a bittersweet ending the makes the player want to cry." "I just felt the previous games ended TOO happily." "Well that's fair. But just how much do you want the player to cry, exactly?" "Yes."
then when making final fantasy xii i think we went a little bit too hard at the end of x. we ended up with one of the most underwhelming endings i have ever seen.
Aweeee, this game will forever be in my heart. Played in in 2002, and it never left me. So cool to see your reactions and see it through fresh eyes again!
I've never seen your channel, but I'll never turn down the chance to see someone experience this ending for the first time.
Welcome :) Thanks for watching!
Same here, I haven’t seen this channel before but watching someone experience FFX for the first time is amazing and you could tell MissKyliee enjoyed it
I totally agree!!

My response when she said that was "wait for it..."
"This is so good. But I feel dead inside." - everyone who played this game
lol
I think this is called "emotional exhaustion" and is a perfectly normal thing after finishing this game lol
@@cyberjarl is this "catharsis" those ancient greeks were on about?
Thats impressive. To Zanarkand is not an easy tune.

A real strong female caracter
It blows lots of romantic scenes in newer games out of the water
the music in that scene made it 1 million times better.
it was the only time my parents paid attention to a video game
a lot of games romance now cause of stuff like mass effect is talk to them 3 times do a side quest and then sex thats what you want!!!! nond of these games have them talk and even bond
@@troytheboy1985 That's because newer games aren't really about romance, it's just about fulfilling some incel fantasy. They are the creepiest of all table top players, yes even more creepier than the infamous murder hobos.
@@One.Zero.One101 I think the only game that got romance right was ffx no other game stands out really
1:51:28 pause it right there. That is my favorite scene in the whole game. So much to unwrap in that one frame. Yuna, smiles when she’s sad. She smiles when she’s angry. She smiles because the world needs her to. In that one moment, her smile nearly breaks.
you are gonna make me cry again
When I was watching Sinking of Japan there was a similar scene at the end and it triggered me the memories of this scene. I broke on the spot.
I loved this game as well :)

You were all of us the first time we saw that ending, it's one of the best in the franchise but definitely one of the most gut wrenching too, 20+ years later and I still start sobbing when Yuna goes through Tidus.
I still cry at this ending. When Yuna falls through Titus after running after him, I just ugly cry at that part.
Same. DId 20 years ago when i first played it, and again after every replay. So powerful.
Now we live vicariously through these kids getting broken by this game for the first time 😂
To this day I think FFX you aren't playing Yuna, and you see the Story of Tidus, but he also is kind of a side character in Yunas story.
@@Rakshiir
And when you look back, when Wakka warned him initially to not fall in love with Yuna, it wasn't him being protective of Yuna, but because he didn't want Tidus to go through a heartbreak due to Yuna's supposedly impending demise.
It's the whistling at the docks that gets me. Even after he leaves, she still has trouble accepting it. No one can blame her.
“I was hoping for a happier ending” omg the way you said that I was crying right with you girl 😭😭😭

As much as I love Final Fantasy IX, this one is one of the best games I’ve ever played. Such an amazing journey
True
I remember playing this for the first time when I was back at school in my early teens. I clearly remember rushing home every night after school and playing this game until bed time every night until it was finished. It really was an incredible journey and story. And yep, I cried like a baby at the end, and just remember feeling a huge hole in my chest for a long time after. It hits hard no matter what age you are, but I am certain it hit me even harder as young teen. It's easily one of my favourite games ever made and I still have Final Fantasy X posters in my room to this day.
What a cool memory. :)

You're the best! Appreciate you
Everyone complains about them showing the Seymour kiss in the montage at the end but I always felt like they did that (and then immediately followed it up with the Tidus water kiss) to drive home the contrast. Yuna fully and completely understands the difference between someone who is with you because they want to posses you, and someone who is with you because they love you.
i think she was remembering all the emotional memorable things that happened and the seymour wedding was one even if it was a negative memory.
I'm pretty sure the most choked up that I got in the game when when Auron was disappearing as Yuna began her send-off towards the end. He was easily my favorite character in the game and favorite male character of ANY Final Fantasy game either before or since.
He's the man I always thought so!! Got the game when it released!
Not only Yuna has lost her lover, but Wakka has lost, once again, a brother and you can see that he cannot even smile or say goodbye to him at the very end of the cutscene
Oh… this breaks my heart. I didn’t think of that
Oh man....

Words aren’t the only way to tell someone how you feel!
Late but, in JP Yuna said "Thank you", like thank you for everything and etc. and I think it was way more painful than "I love you" in EN.
@@greengardens6959 A better translation is "eternally grateful" in JP, which hits a lot different than "I love you", or just simply "thank you"
@@greengardens6959 I overall like the English localization very much but this particular difference lead to an unwillingly funny moment during the otherwise sad ending if you were playing the PS2 original in German.
"Danke" is something you say to your baker after buying bread... and much closer to "Thanks" than to "Thank you" in terms of the emotional weight.)
So, the difference in the level of emotionality between spoken words and subtitles always cracked me up a little. (Might be the reason why I never cried during the ending because I was too busy chuckling about this.)
In later re-releases, however, the German subtitle was reworked for this scene and now says "Ich liebe dich" ("I love you") as well.
Still have my original copy
One of the greatest stories ever told. To this day even knowing exactly what happens, this ending makes me so damn sad. Everything from the visuals, dialogue and music are literally perfect. That perfection is the only way a scene can still be so emotionally impactful.

It has been a long time since the game first made me cry.
Gets me every time. This is top tier writing, because the story, ideas and themes as well as the characters hold up for that long. Those are timeless.
One of the best FF, and since Square is remaking some of them:
I like FF8, but that one could use some changes, because the writing isn't as good.
But FF9 and 10? Those could be remade but you don't really need to do much, both games are really well written.
I know it is a VERY different genre, but those two could use the Dead Space remake treatment: just add a few details, but have the story, character ect. as it was, because it was damn good back then, and it is still damn good today
This edit was so damn good. I got to relive all my memories and feels through you all over again. Your reactions were so good too. Got my sub today.
Aw thanks dude
This ending is always a knife to the heart even 22 years later
I played FFXV, and even after that arbitrary main ending, it doesn't hold up to this one. They didn't even look for another way for Noctis not to die.
I just want to say thank you. Thank you for loving the game and more importantly, thank you for GETTING IT. Thank you for watching!

And i'm the least emotional person i know
This game and ff8 always hits the soft spot for me. Hits right in the feels.
I laughed with you and I cried with you, one of my all time favourite games. Thank you so much for this 💙

Their love story progressed so naturally and perfectly. Amazing writing.
Watching someone play through for the first time gives me the warm and fuzzies and just puts a smile on my face. I love this game so much. If I could forget a game it would be this one just to re-live. The kiss scene with Suteki da ne playing is just perfection.

was super fun watching you go through this awesome, but emotional roller coaster!
it really was :(
Best story in any game. Never fails to punch you in the feels. Wonder if games will get this good again someday.
This is a really special game.
try Senuas Sacrifice.
@@elitebeltyup Xenoblade got me too. This, Xenoblade, Chrono Trigger… easily in my top 5 games of all time.
Ya 😢
What an amazingly experience, my absolute favourite game. 33yr old now and played as a teenager, baby cried every single time! (You're alot of fun to watch btw, loved the stream!)
the first time I played FFX was on ps2 in 2001 and I was not ready for an end like this
today I'm 30 Years old since the 1st February, and I'm still crying when I watch this end scene
I am 37 I too play it first in ps2 I love this game so much.
35 now and I remember just sitting in silent melancholic reflection for so long after everything finished. This game cuts deep
Oh wow, great content. I watch this to the end?! This was impressive. You've been doing this a lot longer than me and it shows!
Wow thank you! 😊
It's the darn whistle for me every time. I've seen this ending probably 50-100 times now and STILL cry every time.
awww ;-;
Me : "haha she's crying"
Also me : cries too.
lol
I'd like to mention that your reaction for the kiss scene at Macalania forest was absolutely amazing. When I first found your channel I jumped right to the ending scene but when I started watching the whole thing, this was a real journey to remember. I wish to subscribe to your channel.
Wow, thank you!
1:53:30 "We did it." said though tears is a true FFX reaction.
i love how you take note down it shows that you are really into the story. new to the channel and enjoying it!
thank you :)
Same here. This randomly popped up in my recommended and I'm not mad about spending 2 hours this afternoon watching this!
It's not about how hard you can hit it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward
She saved the world from sin, but took such a hard hit.
Spoilers below, if you haven't played the follow up game, you have been warned:
I am not sure how I feel about the later story.
You’re so sweet ty 😊
Damn 20 years later I still LOVE this game just as much as the first time I played it as a young teenager. Still one of the best RPGs ever created.
Thank you for watching 😊
I do play to play 8 and 9 in the future :)
But in the end, it can hurts, BUT IT EXISTS :D
I never forgot their love, like Yuna asks us at the end, it contributed to the person and the boyfriend I am today :)
You are so kind! Thank you! :)
"Hey, I was just going over your notes, you say you want a bittersweet ending the makes the player want to cry."
"I just felt the previous games ended TOO happily."
"Well that's fair. But just how much do you want the player to cry, exactly?"
"Yes."
then when making final fantasy xii i think we went a little bit too hard at the end of x. we ended up with one of the most underwhelming endings i have ever seen.
this game is so underrated imo i absolutely love this gem of a game and watching you reminds me of my 1st playthrough. great content was fun!
thank you so much!
Hands down the best Final Fantasy and one of the best jrpgs in the history. Such a fantastic story, characters and gameplay
Yup!!!
Aweeee, this game will forever be in my heart. Played in in 2002, and it never left me. So cool to see your reactions and see it through fresh eyes again!
haven't played ffx in years. Seeing and hearing that "i love you" from yuna at the end made me tear up all over again.
