After all these years these kits are STILL 5k fuck me They should be priced at around 3k and they'd still make a HUGE profit Guess you gotta pay if ya wanna play still
Let's see I paid $4,000 for my Mustang. If I want that kind of power I see a Cobra Mustang in my future!!! I'm really happy with my 03 SN95 with the mods I have put on already!!!!!
I inherited a 97 with this kit and it runs hard 373 gears x-pipe and stage 1 clutch it moves. I'm adding Cams 75mm throttle body Intake Msd coils and plug Car ran down a 5.0 hard after I found traction lol so it's definitely not a complete waste but definitely a hard buy at 5k
cams are quite expensive for a cobra, make sure you do your research heavily on the cams you may want and don't expect a massive power gain, If I were you i'd look into porting your heads alongside the cams and the blower will make a mean combo.
I wanted to do this to my 04 mustang GT automatic but I found a 14 mustang GT 6 speed manual and I drop the 6 grand on it and I was so happy I did and that thing will fly so I enjoy both cars for what they offer and I am currently looking for a 14 automatic mustang GT so I will give my 04 mustang GT to my grandson for his first car
Unless they upgraded the intercooler, I must have a older kit since it was a used kit purchased through hpp racing in Texas from manny, with a rebuilt blower
I’m confused here, so why can’t this kit be used if someone is going to build there motor and what not and get more power? Why do we need to go tuner kit? Are the two Superchargers head units not the same? I would like to know this!!! Cause I have this kid and I am now building my engine.....
Because it includes fuel injectors, MAF translator, and a tune that will work on a stock car. If you are going to modify the car, you'll have to buy those items again later on down the road.
Hey guys at American muscle. This video is old and im not sure if you guys will be able to respond to me, but i have a question. Will the supercharger be able to run with the stock transmission or will the transmission need an upgrade? If the transmission will need an upgrade do you guys have any suggestions?
You should be fine installing this without doing anything to the transmission. Now I don't know what kind of shape your trans is currently in but most of the time, upgrading the trans with a basic blower kit like this isn't required. -Justin
okay man, body work is my experience as a hobbiest and im learning engines better... what exactly is the "system". Is that just the turbo by itself? Because it seems the kit is what a kit would be which is what you have pictured in the video but he says he has the system and a kit is also available so Im not sure if it was his body language that threw me or my lack of knowledge in engine upgrades maybe both. so whats the system and whats the kit?
Hi American Muscle my name is Chris Turney and I work at a Ford dealership we have people come in all the time looking for aftermarket parts for their Mustangs we don't carry them because it's just not worth the money there's no mark up on them but I believe that if I had something to show them then they would start carrying these parts if you could just send me something that supercharger would be nice but for now just looking for some help thanks
@@americanmuscle it dont have to be a supercharger but somthing . i get them all the time.96-04. 05-10.11-19.sum info would be nice .somthing to show them.hmmm
So, put a trailer hitch on back, tow a pained 1000 gallon propane tank Nitrous Oxide Systems Blue, then fill it with N2O then constantly hose the intercooler down with it? Okay!
I lost count of soo many people blowing there motors after running boost on there stangs. 93-04’s atleast. 6-8lbs off boost. Just not a motor to boost with stock internals.
Paul 5 lol yea anything above 10psi is dangerous. you have to change some internals out and possibly get a different block if you want some serious power. low boost should be fine though. if you want serious power get a 4valve or build up the 2valve.
GrimReaper1675 yea, honestly it would probably be about $10-15K to do it right, I would fully rebuild the head, new pistons, resleeve, the full 9 yards haha
For what you'd pay for a procharger for your V6 you could buy a GT. The V6 Procharger claims up to 55% horsepower increase which would come out to about 293 HP, only about 33 more than a GT. Not really worth it in my opinion.
I concur, better off buying a Mustang GT instead of installing Procharger on V6 engine, or better yet a Mach 1 if you can find one at a reasonable price.

Cobra is gonna cost you 25 grand. This setup would be under 10
These prices are rediculous. The hoses cost 5$ to make, the rest is prob 200$ to make
5-6k for some metal plastic and hoses to produce more air? That's ridiculous

Just buy a good used coyote....
leslie stulzer or a turbo setup lol
Sure let me just spend $20k instead of $5k

Mike K 93-95 were the old 5.0's and you're thinking of the 96-98 gt's which used different heads which were known for being trash.
the 99-02 are all 2 valve, relatively slow but definitely solid.....until you throw any serious boost into it
Paul 5 lol yea anything above 10psi is dangerous. you have to change some internals out and possibly get a different block if you want some serious power. low boost should be fine though. if you want serious power get a 4valve or build up the 2valve.

2v, 3v or 4v, doesn't matter, your still limited to ~400whp because of the rods and pistons unless it's an 03 or 04 Cobra
Is it the same thing on the v6 kit ?
Lil cheaper but basically
is this california leagal?
Im on the same route stupid new exhaust law right? It says on their website its carb legal but $5000
5k is often more than the car is worth in 99-04 GT. 5k is far too much half that would be reasonable. I say save up for a terminator cobra or coyote.
A good terminator goes for 22k coyote motor tons of work bro
@@sergiodoordie319 Yah a good terminator is worth paying 22k and the coyote is way beyond what an old 4.6 2v can do.
+derekbaranproductions
This would work on a 3.8L V6?
Not this kit but procharger does make a kit for the 3.8l v6. Not worth it though unless you have the 99-04 V6.

I dont see yo broke ass buying it. 😂
The turbo ain’t worth 5k the rest is 400 max should be like 3k
