I just bought a core gen 2 coyote from a 2015 GT from my work. It has rod knock but that doesn’t matter cause I was gonna build it up anyways haha. Next, just need to find a SN95 to drop it into. Tons of clapped out SN95’s where I live. Will be a budget build for sure. But, im looking forward to it.
@@collintansey9508 I think he just meant with the rear axle. I had an 03 cobra a few years back and went to solid axle out of a 98 mustang cobra and the it was shorter than the 99-04 rear end.
@@stephenrogers5593Yeah you're right about that, the way this guy in the video was saying it though was making it seem like the Sn95 and the New Edge were 2 different generations even though it's still an SN95 lmfao. I get some people don't like the styling of the 94-98 Gt but quit making it seem like the New Edge isn't still the same Sn95 platform
Thank you! We wish we could have been there too. I'll be leaving on tour for 3 months so had to film some more videos ahead of time so I could keep posting on the channel!
That car looks perfect! Did I hear that right? 10” wheels with 6.5 backspace and stock-width SN95 rear axle? I need my street car to look like that. Thanks!
I bought a 99 gt and I went with a vertech supercharger with long tube headers ,h-pipe,373 gears,I changed the pulley on the supercharger so I had to get bigger fuel pump and injectors,I added some gauges like boost gauge, air fuel ratio gauge,a little suspension work I had subframe connectors, upper and lower control arms, strut tower brace, center force duel friction clutch, short throw shifter became I power shift when racing and they have the stops so you can't bend the shift forks no matter how hard you pull on the shifter and I never missed a gear when you learn, trick flow heads, ford intake. I'm sure I'm forgetting shit but it was a beast. I had 295 nitro drag radials and would still spin like it was in rain
@koolaide2110 Love the car man I've got plans to get me a New Edge Gt and Coyote swap it and wanna go with Powerglide tranny as well, if you got any preferences for a brand to go with hmu
so got to give it to ya bro, not a big fan of the sn95 platform..... but but but.... lol, this is a clean AF example of the sn95 platform. 👍👍👍 ok I admit this car is badass!!!!
LOL I actually don't know. i thought sn95 platforms were from like 93-04 or something like that. it's funny cuz all my years of going to car shows and all my friends that have foxbodys, sn95 stangs and on, no one has ever said that term or said body style 🤔🤔🤔.
When people refer to the New Edge they say it like it is a whole different generation of Mustang lol. Don't get me wrong but I'm a Mustang Gt guy too and prefer the New Edge but the 94-04 Mustangs are all the same Sn95 Platform
@@jerraleproctor 5.3 won't make same power it has 150 less horsepower to begin with... 5.3's cool engine for cruising and sound! but unless you invest bunch of money into building it? its not gonna do much in 2023. And I found my buddy a gen2 coyote with mt82 transmission for $1,000.... for his foxbody. So try to find a 5.3 you can drop in a fox and swap injectors, throw e85 tune/exhaust and squeeze out little over 400 to wheels. You won't been there done that... intake/cam/tune/fbo you might get 290 to wheels from a truck 5.3 at junk yard. Also not sure if youve checked prices but 5.3 aren't as cheap anymore... plus I had to buy t56 for mine. Its not cheap swap if you want something with power and reliability.
I love the old 4.6 sohc and dohc engines! Very capable engines but the coyote will always be the better engine if you want good n/a power or boost, the 4.6 dohc and sohc engines can also make big n/a power but you really have to know what you’re doing! It’s not just a let’s slap every bolt on and add high compression with big cams type of shit and make the power you expect! The old 4.6 dohc and sohc engines need a big bore kit, higher compression, bigger cams, and most importantly a real good head porting and a stand a lone ecu to allow you to rev your engine past 7200rpm because these engines rely on high rpm to make big power and stock pcm’s can’t keep up with high rpm’s, I would also highly recommend balancing the rotating assembly because of the high rpm’s, im sure you might have known all of that already but some people don’t know what’s up with the 4.6 when trying to make big n/a power

Props to a guy that keeps SN95s separate from New Edges. Aside that, very clean set up for road AND race.
New edges are SN95s lol

Would love to do one! Just gotta find someone that has it somewhat close to me and who doesn’t mind being on camera haha

Great video Ford power forever baby Chevy killer
What does it weigh? Any idea of the first gear ratio?
That thing looks like my mustang new edge in the #nolimitdragracing game Sick 🐎🇺🇸💪👊🙌
The New Edge Mustang is technically an Sn95 they just called it "New Edge" due to the body lines and sharp edges and other body style things.
I need a coyote in my s197. So completely stock truck motor running low 8's? That's just nuts.
bone stock. even the truck cams. 8.11@170 is the best so far
Gen 2+ is the key here

It’s actually a New Edge. Not a SN95.

I wonder why he doesn't put the Mustang GT cams in it instead of the truck cams
I'm poor 🤣

Ford parts are a scam and overpriced and that’s x4 on the cams about 2k lol
I need it
What is the difference between a truck engine and a mustang?
On a gen 2 the heads and cams are smaller on the truck engine. The gt engine makes even more power.
The 3 main differences are cams, intake manifold, and the compression ratio.
Muh ride. It does the job. What job is that, delivering pizzas?
If that rad ever starts to struggle just switch to methanol! lol. Sick new edge

Real power none that puny 5.3 cheap junk.

That don’t look like a coyote. Looks like a 32v with a gt350 manifold
Just spill the HP, why keep it a secret if you got a good setup.
just never used a dyno. I tune all our stuff on the street and track. never needed a dyno. i'd guess around 1000hp or so
