Yes, that really is Capaldi playing. He was the lead singer of the early 1980s band The Dreamboys. They're actually pretty good.

When the kid had said "Davros" I had totally flipped out, but when my brother watched it, he didn't change facial expression at all, and I was like "why are you not freaking out" and he turned to me, and was like "Who's Davros?"

You guys may not know this but there is a moment in Genesis of the Daleks (Davros' first serial) where the Fourth Doctor is contemplating destroying the Daleks and asking if someone who knew the future pointed out a little boy to you and told you that boy would grow up to be a ruthless dictator, could you kill him? The opening moments of this put that question to the test.

At first I hated missy, but she grew on me, shes one of my favourite characters now.

6:59 The Tardis can leave objects inside her behind when fasing to time travel, and if it materialize it self around something it will be inside the Tardis, not necessarely in the control room, this abillity is shown in the episode Blink when Sally and that other guy are leaved behind and plus making the angels face each other, the episode with Billie when she's moving and the Doctor materializes the Tardis around her stuff to help with the moving and that episode with the 11th where River jump from a bulding to the Tardis door and instead of crashing in the control painel she falls in the pool, the episode with the 11th where the Tardis is possessed by some entity and gets banished to a womans body the entity shows the abilly to make the door go away the control room, the short Tardis and Clara too.
I didn't realize how much I missed this! Never stop!

I can't wait for the Zygone Inversion, Girl who lived, Face The Raven, Heaven Sent and Hell Bent. Those the most reaction heavy material in the series. Oh by the way...I missed you guys, the opening reveal was a particular treat.

The Clara's going to die speech by Davros at 11:36 is (imo) the best written dialogue in modern Who to date. "They want her to run..." Although I enjoy (most) of the modern who a lot of lot of it lacks 'bite' but this was really good.
It's just a pity that Davros turns out to have been lying (gosh! there's a surprise *yawn*). He must indeed be a brilliant actor (ironically) to completely take in the Doc...

Yes. Peter Capaldi is a little bit fit. There's a bit in "Heaven Sent" where he climbs out of the sea, all wet and everything, and yeah; that's when I thought, "Why PETER! I--I never knew..."

In every other reaction mashup or compilation vid I've seen of this moment, so many people start yelling "Don't help him!" or "Kill him!" Very Genesis of the Daleks-like moral quandary there, sort of like "What would you do if you met Hitler as a child?". And yes Peter can really play, he was in a punk band with Craig Ferguson!

I know it's late to say but Davros has been known as the "Dark Lord of Skaro" since 1975, before the Harry Potter book were written. Dr Who remember is over 50 years old!
And Tolkien is close to 100, the dark lord Sauron from the hobbit and lord of the rings!
