Hey buddy, question. When outdoor vlogging with the action 4 and the x5 what settings should i use? Mono or stereo? What gain should i set the action 4 too? Do i need to use backup audio setting? Anything else you can think of please let me know. Thank you so much

Audio quality best when hand held in front of your mouth rather than clipped to your shirt.

Yes, you can use the transmitter as a stand alone audio recorder, your PC or MAC will see the microphone as an external drive so you can import the files in to any audio editing software, very handy.
