The NEEWER CM28 is the same thing as this, made by the same company that produces and rebrands under Fulaim and NEEWER... Excellent review on this product.
love the review and since bought it. However, my receiver does not have a set button and I cannot transfer info from the receiver to the computer. Can you advise?
Great review! - Have you tested the battery life to see if it stacks up to the manufacturer claims? - I'm seeing inconsistency there, some say 6 hours, some say 8, but can't find a test. Also, size wise, they claim to be 1.8x smaller and 1.7x lighter than the DJI transmitter (47x26x13mm 18g on the X5 vs the DJI 47x30x20 30g), while having better battery, I mean, woah! - Is that true or are they exaggerating the specs?
Neewer CM28 just as good or better? I guess the 'quality' build or DJI may win in the longevity long run? Better quality batteries and parts? 🤷 I'm still buying CM28 though! 😀
I love the ideea of cheaper lavs than Rode or DJI (actually they look like a DJI MIc Clone), but when i can see thru the receiver 05:31 i'm not so confident :) I understand that the mic line out port is aligned with the headphone one, but still....:)) 5:08 is lav in, not "audio out"
When I first got my X5 I loved the audio when underneath my T shirt, like your demo. Since then I haven't tried it and prefer it as close to my mouth as possible and definitely NOT mid chest level when it just sounds mediocre. I'll have to try it underneath my T shirt again! ...Just retried it, and again the audio quality was best with the mic right in front of my mouth. Underneath my T shirt was next best, and worst was outside my T shirt mid chest level. Thanks
The sound does not like passing through things like your chin. Best way for a studio setup is to position the mic on a stand just above camera shot pointing at your mouth. I got that from a pro who reviewed this mic, and he has some fancy gear and knows what he is talking about I reckon.
Hi Great Vídeo. Can I Use The Receiver As An Audio Interface On The Pc? The Same Kind Of Audio Interface as Dji Mic? I Need 100% Be Sure About, That In Order To Buy The Mics Because I Need The Phone For Receive Calls And I Will Be Using The Pc To Record The Audio. I Hope You Can Help Me. Thanks So Much Blessings.
@@talentohumano1859 Hi Friend. DJI Mic and Fulaim X5 are just mics and are not audio interfaces. You can connect all of them to a computer. You have to go to the audio settings on your computer and select the USB microphone for your audio input. it will work on your computer if you follow the above steps.
I wish any of these reviews would actually show how to use the thing on the phone. How to record and transfer etc. Ive watched so many and nobody covers it
I may have missed it, but can you start the mics recording from the receiver? I’ll be filming sports and will be away from the mics. I want to be able to start these at the same time as my video to make post easier (and less running around)
I won't buy a wireless system with built-in batts or on 2.4mhz freq. The UHF pro systems are out of my budget range. I use pocket recorders. Good luck all. Good review here.
@@darkechoproductionsllc9559 Yes I recognise that the whole world and their dog recommend lavs be placed mid chest level. Not for the X5 for me! Interestingly, my wired lav PurplePanda copes quite well at mid chest level and the audio quality doesn't change much with position.

this is a really great video! thanks for the time you took on everything.
I love mine.
Particularly after some EQ work, they’re exceptional.
I add a bit of bass EQ in Lumafusion to make it sound richer!

They’re exactly the same. Just branded for different retailers.
It looks exactly the same as the Mailada X5, it even has the branding (M) in the adaptors.
Yes the Fulaim X = Mailarda X5 = Neewer C28. Just rebadged.
The noise reduction works significantly at 15:19 on reducing the noise! Great review!

Great video, thanks. Question…when recording to the transmitter only how do you synch the soundtrack to the video? Thanks!

The anc like you said definitely didn’t do much on the test. Is the recorded file mp3 or wav
It records in .wav

Can you turn on the transmitter (mic) from the receiver? I put the mic away from me will I need to keep going up to it to turn it on and off.

My audio keeps breaking up and I'm unsure why? I'm using my iPhone and normal vdieo
The best in depth video I’ve seen!!! Thank you ❤
Not being able to control the internal recording from the receiver was a deal breaker for me, went with DJI mic after all .
When I connect the usb to my mac, its not reading the receiver. It receives only the transmitter. Is that standard?
If you're interviewing someone, is it best to record in mono, stereo or multi stereo?

On board recording only switch on by Tx
Question on the safety track, does this let you have a -6db track in each recorder?

Hmmm.... What's the difference between this and the Neewer CM28?
Nothing. Both exactly the same. Just rebranded to respective retailer.
how does this doffrent from the new x3?
Does his memory already come internally or do you need to buy a version with the internal card for recording?
Nice review! Thank you very much.
Such a great video! thanks!
Great review!
The chest for any lavalier is the best they do that on big Hollywood and reailty shows
I disagree. My X5 sounds very mediocre mid chest level. Best closest to my mouth.

Looks like the Neewer CM28
16 or 24bits?
Great video! New sub!!
where is the memory card slot?
No detachable card
just got one pair for 90€ :D
doesn't allow lavs thats my only hangup
If I'm not mistaken, multiple reviews showed that you can actually connect lavs to it
Mine accepts my PurplePanda wired lav but the Fulaim mic sounds better.
It does allow lavs...
good Hollyland wannabe mics
