Does the USB-C to USB-C from the Mailada X5 connector work with the Rode Wireless system? Might be a great way to adapt the Rode Wireless mic to work just like the DJI Mic connection for smart phones!

I just got a set of these under the brand name Fulaim. I have the Fulaim X5 mic set and it is great. It is a fantastic value for the price. I love the features of this set and the sound quality is excellent. Its plug and play simplicity.
Young, you should try this... use the mic under your blouse and use the magnet on the outside. This will provide an automatic wind shield from your blouse and the magnet will look like a button. All without using a visual dead cat! Boom invisible mic and no led light!
Love watching your reviews (and you!) even though I don't see myself making the best use of these devices. Although this mic set seems pretty awesome. Bravo for going the extra mile (plus 200 meters) to reviewing this!
Long time no comment from my side, but I have been watching all videos, from your first to your latest. Keep it up! And as always you did a great job in showcasing the most important features of this small piece of fortune.
When we wear wireless lav mics outdoors, we still tend to clip them to our shirt chest area. That to me is an old-fashioned television era style, for people in suits. To boost line of sight outdoors, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to clip them on top of the shirt, or backpack shoulder strap. Then your body would not suppress the signal.
Looks like a great product! Our problem with wireless microphones in a busy city is that open channel frequencies are hard to find, even with professional ones. Does this unit search for open frequencies every time you turn it on? Or are the frequencies preset? Can you manually tune the transmitter/receiver to a specific frequency?
I wonder if it's rebranded as a Fulaim or if Fulaim is rebranded as a Mailada. They must be related as they both call them X5. I recently purchased the identical looking Fulaim X5 which has more subtle Fulaim logo branding. But there's a USB-C adaptor included which strangely had an "M" shaped logo, which reminded me of Motorola, but now I realise is Mailada's logo!
Thanks for the review. Looks very interesting, plus smaller than rode and dji offerings for half the price. Not sure why the others are so expensive, also wonder how reliable this is? Seen a few reviews on amazon saying they had cut out, could be mis use but wondering if you had any issues with losing recordings? Thanks and hello from UK.
I get great audio with my Fulaim X5 (=Mailada X5) when I'm using the cable to connect the Rx to my iphone12pm. [BUT NOT if using the Lightning dongle. Fulaim have replaced the dongle but there's no difference. So I use the cable connection all the time. Pity because the dongle would be much more convenient.] ... Having done some more tests, it seems I can get good audio using the dongle. Don't know why I couldn't before! BUT I noted 2 things: 1) using 2 mics together in mono mode gave better volume & clarity than singly or in stereo mode. 2) the volume level using the default iphone12pm camera app was greater than when using the Insta360 Flow gimbal app!
Hello how are you? Please help me, between these mailada and the boyalink, which of the two has better quality when recording the audio? Which of the two has better noise reduction?
I love my Fulaim X5. But yesterday I did a comparison test with my $30 wired PurplePanda lav. The PP knocked it out of the park!!! But I hate wires haha!!!
I've now done more tests (I never stop testing it!!!) I've found I can improve the sound quality using Lumafusion by increasing a bit of base in the equalisation facility together by adding some of Lumafusion Voice Isolation. I'm now more than happy with it's audio even after improving the PurplePanda audio in Lumafusion. I have found that getting the mic as close as possible to my mouth is crucial. On a shirt, like your blouse, is too low! Not only does that make the audio quite mediocre but it also picks up more echo as in your trial.
Great video, thank you for that. Can you advise how to connect it to a camera like a gopro or a Canon G7xiii (these are the two cameras I use along with my iphone). Thanks in advance. 🙂
@@Mailada-bb2rt What’s really the difference between the Fulaim X5 vs the Mailada X5??? It doesn’t make a whole lotta sense for the same company to make and market 2 items of the same heritage
At the beginning of this video, you are recording in a room that has quite a bit of reverb. Which the mic is capturing. Not the best place to demonstrate the mics quality IMHO. Based on the tests in this video, I would not pick up the Mailada X5. I would stick with my RODE Wireless GO, GO II and ME systems. I also recommend the Comica systems as well.
Wow - this looks like a great value and has everything you need. I already have wireless Comica XU (?) and have been looking at COmica Vimo-C(?) for greater ease of use but this is even more affordable and similar (and even better - internal recording) characteristics. Run fast so you don't leave your phone unattended for too long 😁
The newer model, X5is, is even better 😎 great review by the way. . Beautiful thing about living in China we get all the latest products before reaching, western shores ✌️
Nice video, these are exactly the same as the Fuliam x5 and they are both terrible mics. Not sure how everyone videos don't actually show how bad these mics are but they pick up so much ambient background noise. I am assuming everyone is post editing these videos to make them sound better. I returned mine.
I haven't found that, probably you had placed the mics too far from the subjects mouth. All mics pick up background noise, they're not magic.... using a clip on lav will make them much better also. I have the Fulaim model which is the same.
Just watched your Rode Wireless ME review. As far as I can tell from 2 different videos, the Rode sounded better. I now have the Fulaim X5, which I understand is the same as the Mailada. I love it but my $20 wired lav PurplePanda gives better sound! But I hate wires!!!

@AlejandroStojanovicAs I have a set under the brand name "Fulaim".
The noise cancellation mode was pretty good - thank you for the tip
this really is the killer of the DJI Mic
I like the noise cancellation too with my iphone12pm.

Thanks for the review. Do you know how the Mailada X5 differs from the FULAIM X5 Wireless Lavalier Microphone?
They're the same, the difference is that MAILADA is the source factory.

In fact, I noticed the usb adaptors in the Fulaim X5 have the branding of Mailada (M) in them so not sure if it's a stratgegy or their sister company.

no cutting on my side. i think the reason bigger brands are expensive is like the reason why Apple is more expensive.
Aloha, thanks for all your videos and info. Always looking forward for your next videos.

What do you think DJI is releasing tomorrow? I'm hoping it's the Pocket 3.
I’m hoping it’s the Action 4 😃
When I click on the Amazon link for the mic in the description, it loads a page for the Hollyland Lark C1 Wireless Lavalier Microphone???
You and themic sound great
Nice 😎🤝
The noise canceling worked well.
I live in the beautiful Oregon Woods but there's a Highway on one side. It ruins my outdoor audio. I think the DJI might help with that.
Hi from Changsha. I'm assuming this is exactly the same as the Fulaim X5?

Hi. Very good. How can i order this micro miss?❤
Sound is good and reception seems great. Definitely going to give it a try. Thank you for the review.
Very cool wireless microphone Young360 thanks for the video and of course 👀 take care Young
Is it possible to use the receiver plugged in the phone using a Hohem M6 gimbal? Or is the OTG connector is too fragile and could broke ?

Hi Young! Any diference with de Fulaim x5? Thanks for rhe answer.
how much is it?
this MIC currently unavailable on Amazon, i did try to click on your link

Have you seen the holly land lark max? They are amazing I got them and I was so impressed
I get the blinking light on the trans to show I'm recording, but I cant download the recording on the trans with any USBC cord I use. Any thoughts?
I love the sound of your voice very very nice
Can I use this microphone with Insta360 X3? What is the best microphone for this camera? Thank you
In your tests, is this better than the Rode or DJI Mic's? Is it replacing your Rode?
this really is the killer of the DJI Mic.Better than RODE
@@Mailada-bb2rt thanks for your reply, but has she really switched???🤔

great price,great product!
Is this the same or rebraded as the Fulaim X5 in the US? I'm looking for Fulaim in the Philippines and just found Mailada X5.
yeah, they're great
I put my headphones on at the 840 mark.
Great great separation excellent.

Thanks for a detail review. I got it on Amazon on sale at $79.
i think there are different combinations of these mics :) glad you got a great deal!
Yes I can hear the difference at the seven minute mark.
Noise cancellation very good.
I was wondering the same. They look identical!
hi,

This must be an S version as the x5 doesnt have a charge station , correct ?
