In Romania, witchcraft is a multi-million dollar business. TV used to be packed with ads for witches advertising spells. Then the government took the unusual step of banning witchcraft ads on tv.
"This advertising ban makes me feel I'm back in Communist times", complains Witch Bratara. The government is concerned the adverts make Bucharest look backward. But witches feel their ancient craft is under threat. They are campaigning for the ban to be lifted. As one woman explains: "In Romania, every little village has its own witch".

The problem with these witches is that they give the same line to everybody: "Someone put a curse on you. We need to break it." That's what they use to keep you coming back. It's unethical.
Not really for one how knows that so many woman do use the spells around the world and particularly by us in Balkan's countries that the Shamans do discover the evel crafts in most of the people searching them halp 😜 Yet for the Western mind it's not that easy to have the truth insight because the Western world is so analytical and limited making them blind to the spirituality and the ultimate existence out of the material existence, the world of the ( illusionary) apparences 🙃
Okay, I'm half Romanian and I believe in magic. I didn't a few years ago, but some major life experiences changed my skepticism. However, I am pretty disgusted that these people do this. My mother told me that a real witch won't charge (or will charge VERY little) and will simply tell you how to do the spell. This stuff about curses on families is pure crap. Usually, bad things happen because of how your past influences your present. Magic is real, but these people are frauds.

What I don't get is that the Bible doesn't permit magic of any kind but then Moses technically used magic. I guess it depends who you pray to.

:))) we have latin blood, so that's why we are so emotional... and this problem with confusion between us and gypsies is really annoying for all romanians.

Yes I have seen that. But it gets complicated when one takes a close look at magic. Prayer is a spell and prayer is a form of magic. Now praying for someone's destruction would not be a part of God's magic but praying for your enemies to be better people and for more enlightenment is in the spirit of God's magic.
Most "men" don't get a "hard on" by powerful women bcz they have to be at the top. These women do Tarot reading, cards don't lie. It's all energy work, whether positive or negative. Sure there are some not as good as the others but that goes for any business or professional. Not all doctors are competent, not all lawyers are good and not all priest are honest.

I know where Rromani people come from, I know their past too well. They have been used and abused thru history. I volunteer for them in my country. Only one thing to say: most of them are just awesome. They never criticize you "Gajo" even though you are so unkind with them. I came to Romania twice, and the worst experiences I had was with Romanians, especially Romanian authorities (racist as hell toward this community), never with Rromani.
Yeah, you can envy us! :) We are a multicultural country, we have the last remainin virgin forest in Europe (only one togehter with some parts of the Scandinavian forest), we have the beautifulDanube Delta, we have 50% bear, wolfs,lynks population and other rare wildlife, we have unique geological and speological sites, we have normal, pure food not "bio" or "organic", we have more than 100 types of national costumes, we have Brancusi,Eliade,Ionescu,Maria Tanase,and the greatest gypsy musicants!
Romanians are Wallachians, we have our forefathers from Dacians and Romans
Gypsies are the low-class people from Pakistan and Northen India, brought by Turks and Tatars into Europe in 11-12 century
"Romani" for Gypsies doesn't have anything to do with Romania, this word was invented few years ago, "Rrom" it means husband, or men, in their Gypsy language
@carameloxx I must admit, I like the vampire image Romania has and frankly that did cause me to try to understand the country's culture. However, I always knew that vampires only existed in Hollywood movies. I do know that Bram Stoker (who started much of the vampire interest when he wrote his famous book) based some of his novel on the historic ruler know as Vlad Tepes. Vlad was known by his style of execution, which was called impalement.

Romanians have not been allied whit the nazis, they been pushed from behind. Its a big difference, Romanian troops have been pushed from the back in the front line of attack of the nazis army and russians blamed Romanians of beeing nazis ally, all was a big deceiving.

Honestly, I don't want to seem rude but saying a Gipsy is a Romanian, more than having a citizenship is simply stupid, they have no affiliation with us, they just occupied our land. We were judged all over Europe for their actions(mugging, killing so on and so forth), Italians are afraid of us because of them. Without getting into details, I just want to say that whoever considers gispy people as being Romanian is simply ignorant and demonstrates that he has no idea what history is.
I agree, i know people who have spent thousands on witches, and nothing happend.

I am a Polytheistic Pagan in the United States and I pray to Catholic saints. Some people are purists and say that's not pagan but I see nothing wrong with it. It works.

Why are people calling gypsies Turks? In Turkey gypsy are also considered dark and they are treated poorly, though gypsy in Romania are lighter in complexion, to a foreign eye they look like dark Europeans. The Rom people are an interesting, creative and colorful people that I respect and embrace

@gogoasacenusie For your information Gipsies from Romania are Romanian. They do hold a Romanian passport, speak Romanian, have a Romanian culture even though they are rejected by this country. For those who come abroad, they call Romania "home".

We don't call them gypsies, never. We call them Rroms or Rromanis and we know some of them are the way they are because of the way they are treated in their home country Romania. ive seen things you can only imagine, and the good thing for me was that i wasnt alone... call it "power of the mind" or whatever but it exists... as long as you keep science as the religious people keep the dogmas you are not advancing, you must open your mind to unknown, search for "supernatural" or unexplained and you will see that it exists... i know science is right but it isn't complete yet, it doesnt hold the whole truth, you know what i mean ? - in time it will have all the answers...
