Then you are a fool, curses goes back to those who laid them if its not a rightful couse, this is the biggest mistake satanist witches make and obviosly this man over here , if you cast a harmful spell one truly innocent people that havent caused you any harm , then you will get the double power of your curse backfiring one you. So dont run around casting spells and curses for the fun of it and with out true cause , magic always returns to who made it , and can be very harmful not only one your presumed victim, but One you yourself ,magic also always has a price, you can be forced to pay with your life talking to a powerful spirit. Most spells and curses that are cast are totally harmless because its just bogus, but sometimes someone actually find a spell that works, ( usually the spellcaster in that case have to go through a very timeconsuming preparation, with fasting and sacrifacial rites and it can take Up to a year to prepare for such magic that includes calling upon watergods or housegods or Angels or certain demons) therefor the Wicca of today usually never uses this spells , but Arthur Crowley used att least One and has a demon Harding His house this demon was ( of course) STILL there after Arthur Crowley death and sent One killing a person att Arthur Crowley old Property. Never seen craft like this before! Then again, I only know solitary witches who practice much more casually. But the great thing about it is it's a highly customizable thing, so everyone's practice is different
This coven does British Traditional Witchcraft, which is a rather specific type of practice. Even more specifically, they follow the Ced family tradition, which can vary slightly from the traditions of other families.
@Trinity M That's the point. There's different traditions and paths. There is no single "witchcraft", no single way to do it that is right and all others are wrong. You can do witchcraft like this video, or do something completely different, but both are witchcraft. If a more traditional and structured style does not suit you, you can choose to do it a different way.
HearthWitch reated to this video and I will say this is one of the better done videos of its kind. The fact that you guys approached it with respect really made me happy. Thank you.
I love the way that Griffin explained the baneful practices. Magick is neither black nor white in the way that one might think of good and bad, but rather it's better to think that what you put out there comes back to you in return. It maintains the balance of the universe and energy and life. Everything has it's consequences, and it works much in the way that many believe in Karma. I just think his explanation of it was very well put, especially for oustsiders who did't know anything about magick and how it works. This approach to learning about witchcraft, too, was very openminded and refreshing to see. I know many times people come at it with heavy preconceived notions and misconceptions due to modern media and just lack of understanding around the craft, and many people seem to treat it in a joking manner that comes off as disrespectful to those that take the craft seriously. Getting to see them open and willing to learn and dispell those misconceptions, I think, was a good step in the right direction to understanding and respecting something that's so foreign to their lives and beliefs. Honestly overall this video was just really well executed, and I wouldn't mind watching more of a series where they delve into learning more about witchcraft.
Hell yeah. I love how this topic was approached with an open mind, and light heart! The guests were also super informative and seemed so easy to talk to, willing to include and educate (and put up with Aria's HUMOR). Great video!!
As a modern witch it feels really great to see real representation in the community because, most people see witches as evil or like they are portrayed in Hollywood. Also, sometimes witchcraft is not all of that. Yes there are rituals and things like that being done, but we also do little spells. We use jars, bags, and other things like that. But most of the time witchcraft is about healing.
@@amateursleuth1195not all magick is satanic nor does it come from the devil, in fact most witches don’t even believe in the devil. Also as someone who’s ancestors were pagans i can tell you that they’re magick did come from the devil since they were strict Christian Orthodox, or Catholic people.
I don't think anyone ever owes anyone a thank you for something they didn't ask for, yes it's police and nice to do so and appreciated, but I never open the door for people just because I want a "thanks"...I do it to get the person and myself through the door more quickly and efficiently...Just shows his narcissism, giving only for his ego, not just cuz. Super petty and st*pid to waste such cool witch's time with something so small. I WISH my biggest problem in life was a dude at work didn't say thanks to something he never asked for lmfao

@Winter 💜 Bear no actually, mostly I provide protective wards around my home and friends, collect crystals, give thanks to the gods and goddesses I work with, I do divination, and I paint pictures of my deities. Im gonna' say it, I like them. They arent Ryan and Shane, we all know those are hard shoes to fill, but i gotta' appreciate that no one is trying to be them. Still going to get my Ryan and Shane fix on Watcher, but this is the best group to do 'similar' in my opinion. Like...Buzzfeed...I think you could keep some of us watchers with Matt and Aria....Just sayin'
Coming from me, who is clearly taking it to heart that someone didn't understand the intended silliness of the original comment. And who is also taking it too seriously. No one said they were the "new guys". If you read the comment, its literally just a joking tone about a personal opinion. That opinion was that this video was closest to scratching the metaphorical itch that was Supernatural out of all the ones I've seen. Also that Matt and Aria are enjoyable to watch (which appeals to that "itch" as well. I need to stay out of the comments when I'm smoking. Clearly taking this far too seriously. LOL.
This was a really cool and insightful episode! And I like that y’all didn’t air it around Halloween, like it’s more of a way of life for some not just a once a year gimmick

as a pagan of many years and practicer of the craft all my life, im happy to see this video be so respectful, and i know we all miss ryan and shane but as someone in the witchcraft community this is a little better than the voodoo video they did on unsolved because voodoo is a closed practice and the priestess they sought out shouldnt have been precticing it
@@kipral No closed practice means that not just anyone can practice it, this especially applies to white people trying to adopt religious beliefs belonging to poc, when the colonization of certain races and cultures made them convert to Christianity
These "witches" are incredibly self-centered and selfish. They claim to wield an obviously false power, but never use it for anything more than tarot cards. If they really can use magic, then why not heal people in reality instead of healing them "spiritually".

Thanks so much buzzfeed and to Matt and Aria for actually showing what witchcraft really is and what it can be. No silly remarks. Just respect and the willingness to learn with an open mind. The best vid on witchcraft from non practitioners yet. 💙💙
Besides the awful try to cover up Ryan and Shane's "disappearance", I am currently extremely curious on how they handled this topic, considering the "taboo" around modern witchcraft. Especially when people would usually call young witches or witches that choose to share their craft "crazy" or "cringe". Edit/ Update: I've watched the video, and I gotta say, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I absolutely loved the coven, and I think they were wonderful people! Tbh it kinda made me want to fly to Cali just to visit that shop. I haven't actually seen coven witchcraft in practice before, I have only practiced solitary, but it's super amazing and interesting. As for the hosts, I think they handled the situation very well. Especially since you could tell they had no idea what they were getting into 😂 They handled everything respectfully, and even if they definitely don't have the same energy and dynamic as Shane and Ryan do, they still did a pretty good job on this episode. Loved the episode!
i also love how they brought up the history of witchcraft and how christianity kind of pushed us to the brink of extinction. most christian traditions and customs have pagan origin, its nice to hear us be spoken about as people with a different belief system rather than scary monsters lol, and they touched on the pentagram briefly! star pointing up is witchcraft star pointing down is satanism ^^
@@kuromiscreaming7420 100% agreed! And for a 16 minute video, the explanations were accurate and straightforward. Of course, even if this video was hours upon hours long, they wouldn't be totally able to explain the craft in-depth, but the important part is that they made the video balanced between entertaining and informative, and perhaps it helped a few people realise witchcraft isn't just a bunch of phonies or evil people.

Matt and Brenden were by far the most respectable out of the group when it came to this tbh.
@Nadine yea like asking the witches if they are warlocks??? Errrr he should've done his research and ask a better question about warlocks
“Thats a very bad word 😳”
“Am I in trouble for having said that? 👀”
“No! 😌”
you should interview the freemasons next
I've been a mason for 3 years now. Trust me, there's nothing supernatural about it. 95% of masons are old white Christian guys over 40
@@princevalium25 thats boring then
Yeah ahaha my step dad is a freemason. It’s just a bunch of rich white men with power who donate to charity and have potluck dinners
@@9cloudrachel207 Most of them arent rich. I know masons who are literally dirt poor and rely on charity to keep their electricity and heat on.
my best friend is a free mason!
It's a decent start, let's give em a chance
Ahahahaha!!!! Aria is on board with this baneful magic.... Omg I can't stop laughing!
The Witchfather kind of reminds me of Tim Curry. That in of itself is magical.
The fact that this vid only came out like 1 minute ago and there's a dislike already
I love you
Lmao in my coven we just sit around and study rocks
I think you accidentally joined the geology club
As a modern witch it feels really great to see real representation in the community because, most people see witches as evil or like they are portrayed in Hollywood. Also, sometimes witchcraft is not all of that. Yes there are rituals and things like that being done, but we also do little spells. We use jars, bags, and other things like that. But most of the time witchcraft is about healing.
I understand that, but you have to know the bottom line is - all the power of magic comes from the devil.
@@amateursleuth1195not all magick is satanic nor does it come from the devil, in fact most witches don’t even believe in the devil. Also as someone who’s ancestors were pagans i can tell you that they’re magick did come from the devil since they were strict Christian Orthodox, or Catholic people.
@@amateursleuth1195most witches don’t pray for satan, the pray for ancient greek gods(like Hecate)
What have we learned? Always say thank you when Aria opens the door for you. Say it with me
I don't think anyone ever owes anyone a thank you for something they didn't ask for, yes it's police and nice to do so and appreciated, but I never open the door for people just because I want a "thanks"...I do it to get the person and myself through the door more quickly and efficiently...Just shows his narcissism, giving only for his ego, not just cuz. Super petty and st*pid to waste such cool witch's time with something so small. I WISH my biggest problem in life was a dude at work didn't say thanks to something he never asked for lmfao
I’m a witch & it’s just so stereotypical.
Nobody would ever guess I were one!
I got so excited when they said they were going to the green man shop! I have wanted to visit it for a long time. And I’m really happy they had an open mind when they were shown witchcraft. Open mindedness is important.
@Winter 💜 Bear well actually I am a witch, but I’m also pagan. My practice and deity worship is a very important part of my life.
@Winter 💜 Bear no actually, mostly I provide protective wards around my home and friends, collect crystals, give thanks to the gods and goddesses I work with, I do divination, and I paint pictures of my deities. Witchcraft is subjective: everyone’s journey is different. I hope you can have an open mind when it comes to the beliefs of others
@@theinfamousbookworm1323 I hope you visit them soon. And stick with what you're doing. You're a beautiful member of the pagan/ witchcraft community and I'm incredibly proud and honored to stand with you. 💚
@@drinkzcoffee5183 thank you so much! Your also a very wonderful member of the community!
Stop attacking all of them. Ryan and Shane wouldn’t be happy to see all of hate being thrown towards them. It was their decision to move on and you should respect it. Please stop being so disrespectful
Yeah, the new guys seem nice
11:34 I love the wall mural. Really sets the mood.
Also, cool episode. I like the news guys, but then again, I've already gotten accustomed to them on other episodes. They do great work.
Im gonna' say it, I like them. They arent Ryan and Shane, we all know those are hard shoes to fill, but i gotta' appreciate that no one is trying to be them. The actual information, the dynamic, this is the closest Ive seen out of all of the tries. This, I would watch as a show in general. Still going to get my Ryan and Shane fix on Watcher, but this is the best group to do 'similar' in my opinion. Like...Buzzfeed...I think you could keep some of us watchers with Matt and Aria....Just sayin'
@Peter Griffin hahahahahah agreed, agreed.
This was such a good, respectful video. Most videos about paganism and witchcraft from outsiders are so disrespectful and people forget that this is people's spiritual beliefs and for some, a religion. Great job, I hope your working turns out well!
Well, hello new Pagans! I, personally, am a Norse Druid in a witches coven that consists of me and some other Pagans from my school, I hope you enjoy any and all experiences you have in this community 😊
Her: “He’s probably out cheating on me”
Me and the boys: 13:30
I admit. I have been avoiding this video as I just wasn't sure it would show us as we are and not the stereotype. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased. Thank you
Thank you for approaching this so respectfully and it was lovely to see traditional magic being showcased. Carry on like that and you most definitely will have a successful show 🥰
As a practitioner myself I really appreciate and enjoyed this video.
Thank you buzzfeed unsolved!
Alittle nervous to see how this would go, miss the boys but we have watcher to go hunt them down lol. These lads are doing great , liking how they ask questions respectively and speak on what is unsure to them. Nice one buzzfeed so far so good
I thought this was a great episode. Thank you for showing the craft in the correct way and not in a joke or dark place. Can't wait to see the next episode
as a pagan of many years and practicer of the craft all my life, im happy to see this video be so respectful, and i know we all miss ryan and shane but as someone in the witchcraft community this is a little better than the voodoo video they did on unsolved because voodoo is a closed practice and the priestess they sought out shouldnt have been precticing it
When you say closed practice, do you mean not open to outside viewing? Like, this is a private affair, not a spectator sport?
@@kipral No closed practice means that not just anyone can practice it, this especially applies to white people trying to adopt religious beliefs belonging to poc, when the colonization of certain races and cultures made them convert to Christianity
@@lambycology Thanks for the clarification :)
Great job, it was a good video! So proud of you guys to keep the channel going! Looking forward to see what you guys do next 👐🤗
Good luck guys! Obviously big shoes to fill, off to an interesting start. Cheers!
clicking on this video like: alright whats the mainstream media saying about us
im really glad this is in good spirit
As a practitioner myself, gotta say, those people and the magick they wove were legit. Felt it.
These "witches" are incredibly self-centered and selfish. They claim to wield an obviously false power, but never use it for anything more than tarot cards. If they really can use magic, then why not heal people in reality instead of healing them "spiritually".
I just love the wife’s, husbands voice. I could listen to him all day I swear
I enjoyed this content. Definitely made me want to seek this Shoppe out and sign up to learn more. These buzzfeed guys are kool I like them...
Some of these comments are disresprectful and petty. Ive been watching content from this channel for many, many moons, but am totally satisfied with going to the "other" channel for my favorite guys content... but I am so open to more content from these guys.. If you were on the tail end of these comments, you would not appreciate the angst. No one is here to live up to someone else's body of work. All you can aspire to is to be the best you can be in your own bubble and be proud of your own work.
I like the energy these guys have and I look forward to regular content from them... Good luck to these guys.
I love Ryan and Shane, but these two seems nice too, It's just we all have built a bond with Shane and Ryan and their amazing compatibility which makes us laugh a lot but we should definitely be more welcoming to these guys aswell.
This episode was great! Fun dynamic between the crew, and the guests seemed super lovely. Hope we get to see more of these.
This was incredibly enlightening... I truly believe you guys will have a very successful series! I am definitely a fan of the idea of acceptance and open mindedness that the 4 of y'all managed to accomplish in an informative and yet lighthearted approach. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏
I love this??? The chemistry is great and I've been loving Aria's and Matt's content so seeing them do a video together made me so happy :)
that male witches voice is amazing :D
Thank you for doing A video on witchcraft correctly. The disclaimer was right on you didn’t get confused between Wicca and witchcraft. The only thing is you went back to the same shop however it turned out great and the ritual was perfect!
There's so many comments posting about positivity. And saying that there's hate... But I have been scrolling for 2 mins and can't find the hate 0___0
I like this!! Super interesting :) and I like that Aria brought up being a former Buddhist monk!
I think this was approached with a lot of grace, dignity and respect. I like the approach.
This was so lovely! It truly warmed my heart to see both the hosts and the witches being so open and gracious with one another. I would love to see more videos like this with other spiritual/religious traditions!
idu the hate for this set cuz matt literally worked with ryan and shane for a lot of the episodes 😭😭😭
factsss,,,tho i do get where the 'hate' is coming from but some of the comments are just really derogatory:(((
This was a lot of fun! I appreciate that they were so respectful throughout the process. I’m looking forward to seeing what else they’ve got coming for us.
Keep up the good work guys! This was really interesting :) In all honesty would have liked it just a little longer because this is such a deep subject but that's just me. You got this!
Thank you for being so tasteful the way you went into learning something new. This was a great video.
Oh boy, something new for Hearthwitch to react to
Thanks so much buzzfeed and to Matt and Aria for actually showing what witchcraft really is and what it can be. No silly remarks. Just respect and the willingness to learn with an open mind. The best vid on witchcraft from non practitioners yet. 💙💙
I really like this video. it's so respectful to our craft, and to the magick to the witches in this video. thank you for respecting our practice!
Blessed be this was a more accurate representation of Witches that I ever saw on You Tube.
Loved the episode!
as a witch i think they approached this topic super well and with very open minds ^^
i also love how they brought up the history of witchcraft and how christianity kind of pushed us to the brink of extinction. most christian traditions and customs have pagan origin, its nice to hear us be spoken about as people with a different belief system rather than scary monsters lol, and they touched on the pentagram briefly! star pointing up is witchcraft star pointing down is satanism ^^
@@itzpurplesmixz184 absolutely agree!!
This was awesome. The energy in their magical workings was palpable! Especially at the conclusion of the spell when the flames intensified 🔥 loved it
buzzfeed is the reason we all go to know shane, ryan, steven, try guys and watchers so veryy thankful to them! even if the ghoul boys are irreplaceable i hope they can introduce more content creators to us. goodluck to buzzfeed!
“We do not fly on the brooms ✨ literally✨ oh the looks on their faces! 😂💕 only the real witches will get it 😂
This can actually be the face of BuzzFeed unsolved
That dude is so dramatic and evocative!!! It was definitely cool to have for a production! It was a good lesson in making your working about every fibre of your being without worrying about appearances!!!! Loved this episode!
I really liked this video, great job guys!!♥️
People here saying that others are commenting hate but I actually can’t see any
Thank you, Griffin & Carrie & Jill! Yeah, I’m associated with The Green Man Store. Proud of you guys! ❤️👍
Me too!!! Love you guys! ❤️
I’m really happy for this educational piece.
Practicing witch here and thank you for being opened minded and not making it as a joke....wishing you prosperity and success for this show...blessed be🖤
Thank you for showing large community that witches are a positive thing. These witches I happen to know them, and they are the best of kind people
This is different than other workings I've seen, but it was very interesting. The main guy seemed surprised by how much the fire flared when they finished their spell. I actually received my deck of BuzzFeed oracle cards today.
This was fun and I'd love to see more things like this :) it's so fun to see people exploring Magick traditions... there is so much out there!
The guy witch should definitely narrate movies and documentaries…. Like what? His voice was epic. I felt like I was just destined to complete a quest of some sort…
Personally i think they should push the matt and aria combo. I like matt and i havent really watch much of aria but i love the video when they visited area 51
I can tolerate these two much more easily than the phony campfire girls
this was awesome. thank you for the great video!
