Aaron Burr on his thoughts about the afterlife: "On that subject, I am coy." Man, he really was a "Don't let them know what you're against or what you're for." dude. Lin was spot on.
One thing I wish had been brought up in this episode is that Louis Le Prince and his family lived here when they moved to America, and were still living here when Louis disappeared in 1890. Kind of a cool connection between Unsolved episodes.

not Shane saying someone on the team was idly whistling despite them all knowing to be quiet during filming. they've all been making this show long enough to know this kind of stuff.
I don't think it was a member of the team but I do think someone got wind that Unsolved was in town and was whistling around the house to mess with the investigation.
It is wind blowing through the chimney, if you notice both rooms have a fireplace. It’s common knowledge, that when It’s very windy the wind makes whistling and howling sounds while blowing through the chimney. I think that especially works in the old fireplaces that had a very straightforward openings to the chimney…
No more so than Boogaras deciding it can't be the wind, you know, a natural phenomenon that exists in every day life and has been proven. Many of these places run businesses on tourism and ghost hunting, and we know humans are willing to take advantage of each other, yet Boogaras are almost childish in their naivety in thinking everyone is being honest with them.
Birds and Animals and wind all make whistling noises. This is a fact. To immediately discount those, as Ryan does to be an absolute tosser in the studio clip, is hilariously biased.

Imagine the ghost of George Washington walking around the house all serious, and he tells the ghoul boys “not now” because he’s busy being a cool serious general, then later he walks around the corner to find them making kissy faces at a clock. The rest of the EVPs are just Washington being weirded out.
As a New York City native I visited this mansion as part of a school trip in middle school. I remember walking around the halls by myself and felt that one of the rooms was colder than the rest of them and something about the place just seemed off. And as a reflex I thought to myself this place is haunted. Mind you I was in the midst of my ghost adventures kick and was extremely interested in the supernatural at the time so I thought to myself, "nah it's not you're just wishing". Seeing this and thinking back to my gut instinct when I visited as a child gives me the chills.
@@emilyb.8219 Right? People have no understanding of how temperature exists. Just cause the thermostat says 66 doesn't mean every room in the house is 66.
"Vinnie" Two times the spirits said "Vinnie" Is it possible this is a reference to the previous ghost hunter, parapsychologist Vincent "Vinnie" Carbone (mentioned in the ep) who both searched AND gave tours of the mansion? Was the house calling for him? Did it think you were him? Now listening to the whistling from "Kill Bill" for that extra spooky mood.
For post mortem: genuinely, what would it take for Shane to believe in ghosts? Like what would need to happen? ALTERNATIVELY: has anything ever freaked Shane out paranormally?
shane did run away when he was in the body chute of waverly hills hospital, cuz there was some noise in there, even the cameraman was actually spooked by that
he'd probably have to see an actual ghost fully appear in front of him for him to actually believe. as a skeptic that's what it would take for me to believe.

As a child of the 60s in NY, I used to lie and say I saw a ghost. People around at the time, would believe me and some then claimed they saw it too. I can’t be the only child to do this.
theory: shane is the reason why ghosts can communicate through the spirit box bcs of his demon powers which is why at 13:45 he says that his life gets drained out of his body everytime it plays.
I’m not a believer, but that whistling is super compelling as evidence, way better than the random EVPs. I do lean more towards Shane’s interpretation though. There are likely a lot of people off camera working on the show it’s likely one of them was whistling
These locations are "known" to be haunted so someone might have planted a voice recorder or something I don't really think that these kind of known locations are very trustworthy
There aren’t a lot of people off camera. Maybe 1-2 cameramen and then the woman Shane references doing “DIT” stuff. Shane’s interpretation is offensive to his own staff because he’s calling them liars. No one whistles for 5 hours on accident/doesn’t realize they’re doing it/forgets they did it esp after asking not to
@@welteee. I think that would be hard to pull off, tbh. Plant it and have it on a timer and in different areas in the house? Is it someone that knows they are gonna be there and when?
I don't think the whistling is evidence at all. The whistling was the Andy Griffith Show theme song. Those people died 100 years before that song existed.
TIL Ryan cannot Whistle. The little things we learn about our heroes make their triumphs all the more real and attainable. Seeing the human side makes it more relatable. That's one of the 11 Secret Herbs and Spices that makes this show so good.
Hahah it's funny since a lot of the crappier hero movies lately make them OP, never make any mistakes and have zero flaws and it's just way less compelling But I have no clue how someone can't whistle haha
For the posties: “Vinnie” was said with the spirit box a couple of times .. Vincent Carbone was a paranormal investigator at the mansion .. what if “Vinnie” is a nickname the spirits gave Carbone? Perhaps they’re making a connection between the similarities of your presence and investigations with Carbone’s?
When Ryan is on his solo investigation at 33:57 after he asked the spirit to say Ryan if they wanted to communicate, a mans voice said, “no” then right after at 33:59-34:00 a female voice says, “ he said no!”
Guys at the end of the video when Ryan is doing his solo investigation he asks “say my name Ryan if u want to communicate” and a response is noted saying “NO” in a deep voice but after Ryan hears the response and says “no?” A lighter voice says “he said no.” But ig the editors didn’t pick up on it. I thought it was very interesting so I wanted to share. :)
@Censorship Is always wrong agreed. Most creators post multiple times a week. Maybe no to the quality of research and editing, etc of these episodes. But yeah it’s like 14 30 minute episodes a year which is nothing.
#postmortem I think the “execute” EVP sounded a lot more like “accident” which makes a lot more sense in terms of what happened on those stairs. love y’all and I can’t believe the series is ending!!
#Postmortem Question for Ryan: Has there been any place that has been so devoid of any ghoulish activity that has made you question your beliefs? Question for Shane: Has there been any place that gave a lasting spooky impression that made you question your beliefs?
I binge watched all of these unsolved episodes in the last few days and Shane slowly but surely turned from a ghost sceptic into a coffee addicted professor into an archeologist lookwise lmao
I'm re-watching all of Ryan and Shane's ghost hunts and you gotta love the Watcher merch the boys are wearing on screen. Ryan's wearing a Too Many Spirits hat and Shane's wearing a Puppet History pin. I'm proud of these two for doing their own thing though.
After hearing a lot of "voices" coming from the same radio, it's funny how people still believe the spirit box at this point, but ignore the fact that you can clearly hear voices and music all the time, and only cherry pick when the radio says something more or less related to what they're saying
I was actually wondering about that. I don't know if buzzfeed is generally good or evil when it comes to business practices. But it's entirely possible that their contract might bar them from being able to do another show in a similar format. Either way, I have a feeling that Ryan and Shane are ready to move on creatively. But I do look forward to what the future holds with Watcher.
do u have info on what’s happening?(ie why unsolved is ending ) it makes me so sad. i’ve heard for awhile that buzzfeed sucks. i’m hoping for a similar series on Watcher as well. although, Are You Scared is a good, kindve similar feel.
@@everyoneandnoone3156 The Try Guys have openly said that getting the legal right to use the name “The Try Guys” from BuzzFeed was a long and stressful negotiation-to the point that they weren’t sure what they’d be calling themselves until a few days before they launched their independent channel. There are a lot of rumors out there (I’ve never seen any actual evidence, because the Try Guys aren’t saying, and BuzzFeed certainly won’t) about how much money that cost (and might still be costing) them.
Yeah there’s a reason literally every good creator leaves buzzfeed. They get paid so little compared to the money they generate. Granted buzzfeed took the risk of funding these weird concepts. I don’t think they’ll get the unsolved name. I would imagine it’d be pretty hard for buzzfeed to prevent them from doing a ghost show. It’s a pretty broad and copied concept.
I’m pretty sure they probably have a non-compete clause that will last at least a year meaning they couldn’t copy the format for however long the non-compete lasts.
After being asked what’s your name the ghoul says “Timothy” @ 6:27 Also “gotta go now” @ 6:31 And then of course the eerie voice of the box saying “get him” soon after is quite chilling, The last part of “execute” sounds like we just heard a full ghoul conversation!

not Shane saying someone on the team was idly whistling despite them all knowing to be quiet during filming. they've all been making this show long enough to know this kind of stuff.
I don't think it was a member of the team but I do think someone got wind that Unsolved was in town and was whistling around the house to mess with the investigation.
Wow it's almost like the people who curate the house realize that if they drum up publicity they get more business

Houses frequently have a room that's cooler or warmer than the rest based on where it's situated and such, that's not evidence of anything paranormal

The ghost whistled the Andy Griffith theme song
TIL Ryan cannot Whistle. The little things we learn about our heroes make their triumphs all the more real and attainable. Seeing the human side makes it more relatable. That's one of the 11 Secret Herbs and Spices that makes this show so good.

For the posties: “Vinnie” was said with the spirit box a couple of times .. Vincent Carbone was a paranormal investigator at the mansion .. what if “Vinnie” is a nickname the spirits gave Carbone? That would be funny though. “Hey, it’s more guys like Vinnie! ….. *sees them kissing at the clock* …. maybe not so much…”

When Ryan is on his solo investigation at 33:57 after he asked the spirit to say Ryan if they wanted to communicate, a mans voice said, “no” then right after at 33:59-34:00 a female voice says, “ he said no!”

Spirit box has nothing to do with the wind. It's using radio frequencies. I don't believe in the device but your joke doesn't make sense.
I hope that Watcher can do a similar show when Unsolved is over and Buzzfeed isn't a jerk about it.
I was actually wondering about that. I don't know if buzzfeed is generally good or evil when it comes to business practices.
