Where does the power drop off in the RPM limit? I foolishly put cams and built head on forged257 and now the fp blue i have currently is choking after 7k but made 400awhp @20 psi on 93octane. Only want another 70wheel if i switch turbos but id like to have more top end without loosing power and spool time @3400.
@@Ivan-po1km Fuel consumption is high, oil consumption is high, gearboxes break very frequently (6 speeds are good though), engines are weak too, overall running costs are simply high.
@@nvl2691 You can't expect good fuel economy from any turbocharged vehicles, I hope you know that. Second, a car shouldn't "consume" oil unless you have a leak or have ringland failure which the stock blocks are known for. If it's an IAG block or something built, you shouldn't have ringland failure unless you didn't setup or tune the engine properly and you're having constant knock events. 6 speed STI gearboxes are ridiculously strong. 700hp on a stock 6 speed is no problem.
@@Ivan-po1km Why do you believe most engines made in 2021 are turbocharged? Because they offer better fuel economy and torque than their naturally aspirated equivalent. The EJs are a dated and frankly terrible engines, suffering from many issues as we both mentioned, as well as having terrible fuel economy, CO2 emissions. The VW EA888 (which I also despise) makes as much power, as much torque, with a lower displacement thus consuming less fuel, and it has a much lower boost threshold and turbo lag than the EJ25 in the WRX STI. And the EA888, all three generations, are based upon the 1.8T engine, which is itself older than the EJ engine series. But the EJ engines have character and sound much, much, much nicer than the VW engines. And the Subaru gearboxes are much better too.
That is a smaller compressor housing with larger exhaust housing to have really quick spool time correct? From the sound of this video it sounds like the boost comes back to 100% almost instantly after each shift. Love the vid thanks for posting!
Is this the same 450 hp STi featured on 1320video? Similar set up with the GT30 and built motor although I’m unaware if yhe 1320video featured STi was a built EJ25 or EJ20.
Love it! That’s a stout 450whp!
Beautiful sound and performance! Awesome tune!
Sounds perfect
Damnit, this makes me want to get a bigger turbo..

WHAO
holy shittt i thought it was mph for a sec lol, still dumb fast tho
It is a jdm it comes like this marking 180km / h it was a car that has marked over + 400hp
==DDDD THIS IS WHY I NEED A SUBARU
Expensive maintenance, expensive to purchase too.
@@nvl2691 Maintenance is expensive on these? How so?

thanks it's a garrett gt3076r with .82

Difficult for it to be the same, I'm not from the USA, I prepare cars in South America, maybe it has a similar setup, but this is an ej207 jdm engine
Nice 👌🏻 how much boost?
20psi bro
Equal length headers?
yes sr
Rotated or stock location turbo??
Rotated turbo gt3076r
afr guage working?
AFR around 11.5-11.9 E85
What’s a safe AFR WOT on E85 ?
The turbo timer reading is the voltage not the AFR
if the AFR was at 11.5
At idle 14.7 or 14.59 is good.
what clutch?
Oem sti 6-speed
Stock internals?
Yah its stock. lol
boost psi?
21psi
Was like DAYUM then I seen KMH ... then I was like ... boooo
It's needs longer gears.
this is gearbox jdm sti v7-8-9 is short
horry chit
That car is running way to lean
if you look it is a turbo timer measuring voltage it is not an AFR sensor =)
This engine probably being rebuilt again
Lol, what are you driving? xD
nah and u cant even prove shit,
so sit yo ass down lil biiitch if u wannabe
At 12.6 AFR wot and 450whp I would assume so
@@jetproduction4747 afr was 11.5
