Brian, is the type of detailer you want detailing your car. He obviously doesn't cut corners, and very methodical. Even the little things like removing the old wax or residue between the trim and panels. I can't wait to see when he finishes my 2014, Challenger.
I had been out of the detailing game for 6yrs. I recently got back into it during quarantine when I saw all my old supplies in the garage. Started doing headlight restoration and paint enhancements on friends, family and neighbors cars. Of course I had to research on all the new products and technology out there. I have to say Brian you put out some awesome quality and informative content. NO bs and straight to the point. I recently did my fist ceramic coating on my sister in laws car it came out great it was basically my test car. Now that I got to experience a ceramic I will finally be doing my own car . Gathering th last of the supplies to do a proper job. Just want to say keep up the great work and content.
Ok...but even the cartoons aren't what they used to be compared to many years ago. But then, we didn't have Brian or Turtle Wax Seal and Shine! Turtle Wax Hardshell in the green can and Classic Car Wax was prominent. Lolol!!
Agree Craig Encinitas that was better than Saturday morning cartoons . Trim came out amazing definitely can’t wait to see what coating you’ve chosen. As always Brian absolutely love and enjoy the content and see ya on the next one.
I really have to get that cerakote trim restorer.. I almost out of Gtechniq C4... 😀... I have been putting it on every plastic... I even put some on a push mower grass discharge shoot 😁.. just to get rid of it...
Very cool Mini Series 👍😄 since I’m gettin ready to detail my daughter’s Mini. How many packets of the Cerakote did you use? Can’t wait to see the next episode. Thanks Brian and keep up the good work.
Another great series! I’ve been using cerakote now on several vehicles as well, fantastic results and profitable. Good tips on technique especially on those delicate plastic stripes. QUESTION: How many hours..not including production video time, do you have in restoring the Mini and protecting it ?
Great series, lots of info. Something that you touched on, masking the vinyl stripes so as to not damage or peel them. My question though is how do you deal with larger irregular decals, something like the splash type graphics on some 4x4 trucks. Also any tips on readhering edges of vinyl I'd it did get lifted.
Hey man. Doing a grey plastics restoration this week, using the corona you suggested. Was wondering the proper way to prep the interior plastic . Thanks 🏎
great series and video again buddy. u never disappoint. how far can 1 of those 10 packs go like 2 4 whole car?as always buddy b well stay safe good friend 🍻🍻🍻🍻
Just ordered the Eastwood Prep and the Cerakote Trim Restorer. Always learn something new from each video. Somewhat off topic, what make and model gloss meter do you recommend?
The Eastwood prep was used to removed the old wax/sealant on and between the trims. The Tac System Zero oil was used to removed the oils and polish before coating
Hey! Do you have alternatives to what to use to clean the plastic if you do not reach the product you recommend? we here in the EU have a bit of a hard time reaching all the funds that are available in the USA. thanks
Hi, is it necessary to wipe off the cerakote once u applied? What's the significance on it and how does it lasts if u wipe it off? Won't it be too thin to last 200 washes?
Brian how was the humidity in the shop at the time you applied the trim coating? I had the worst experience with the same trim coating on a 2019 Jeep. The plastic were uneven, just looked horrible. Used citrol to prep also. I even called the coating company and they were not big help. So I waited to it cured and sanded the coating and use a diff brand to repair my damage. Turned into hell for me. How humid was it if you can recall ?
Hey Brian, how long does the cerakote last from real time experience on the exterior trim? Also what happens when it breaks down? Does it run or just fade away?
Still waiting for sonax ultimate cut I wouldn’t use a brush it will marr paint even the super soft detail factory brush will it did on jp details focus rs after doing a 2 stage wet sand and 4 stage machine polish
Hey Brian, I have a MK7 GTI and it has exterior rubber trim around the windows and very little seems to look great on it. Would the Cerakote work well with that type of rubber trim?
People really forget to take care of their plastic trim. Really pops👏👏👏
The trim restoration is key to this mini... huge turn around!
nice and shiny
This is a series filled with great tutorials and info - thank you!
Great tip on the skewer. I never would have thought of using one.
that sweet, sweet additional contrast of the trim going black again helps a ton to bring that red out!

It is here and we are ready to get started....look for a video ....or 2.😃
@@apexdetail85 I can't wait to see when you're done.🙂

You will no doubt do a wonderful job....Cheers!
Appreciate the attention to detail on the plastic trim area. Great video Brian. 👍👍
The plastic treatment really makes the paint pop! Nice job!
The trim looks really good and the skewer tip was excellent thanks Brian 👌👌👌👍👍👍
was drawn to have closer look at this one on fb yesterday, only two words, "very impressive"
Thank you for making this. I probably wouldn't know where to start with a car like this other than the paint.
Better than Saturday morning cartoons. 🌞
Ok...but even the cartoons aren't what they used to be compared to many years ago. But then, we didn't have Brian or Turtle Wax Seal and Shine! Turtle Wax Hardshell in the green can and Classic Car Wax was prominent. Lolol!!
Wow! You showed me a number of things I’ve never seen before. Great series!

Thanks so much I will give it a try bob
This series has tons of helpful info!
Let me grab my cup of coffee, excellent vídeo Brian thankyou
Wow, Mini Car.... Major Trims and Details areas!! lotta work ! ;-)
Looks better than new. Good work Brian

It's all in the details. Great job!
Great video Brian as always thanks for your time
Can’t wait to see what you coat it with!
Looking very sharp! I use TAC Moonlight on plastic trim and I think it workes really good.
Great looking coop!
Great informative video and looking great 💎Just received my Adams Graphene coating. I will see you do it in a video I’m sure.✊
Another great series! I’ve been using cerakote now on several vehicles as well, fantastic results and profitable. Good tips on technique especially on those delicate plastic stripes.
QUESTION: How many hours..not including production video time, do you have in restoring the Mini and protecting it ?
Long shot ask - How would you remove the cerakote? I need to redo a bumper. I'm curious if the paint prep would take it off.

Is the Angel Wax Corona related to the Corona 19? :) Great video and series Brian. Look forward to all your videos.

I just love some good “toothpickery”
Just ordered the Eastwood Prep and the Cerakote Trim Restorer. Always learn something new from each video. Somewhat off topic, what make and model gloss meter do you recommend?
Brian can you please test Adams graphene ceramic coating? Like to see it up against Ethos Graphene Matrix Coating if possible.
Absolutely....on the list
Hey Brian. A little confused. What's the difference between the Eastwood Prep and the Tac Systems Prep?
The Eastwood prep was used to removed the old wax/sealant on and between the trims. The Tac System Zero oil was used to removed the oils and polish before coating
Hey! Do you have alternatives to what to use to clean the plastic if you do not reach the product you recommend? we here in the EU have a bit of a hard time reaching all the funds that are available in the USA. thanks
Nice
Great video series!
Do you have a link to that attachment and cone pads you were using on the front grille?
Hi, is it necessary to wipe off the cerakote once u applied? What's the significance on it and how does it lasts if u wipe it off? Won't it be too thin to last 200 washes?
Great series! Did I understand correctly that for chrome trim you used that water spot remover to get it fully shiny and clean again?
the mini is looking nice. I appreciate your attention to detail. Have you tried gtechinq c4 for trim? It is considerably more expensive than cerakote.
Yes...good stuff. But this is more economical for a business.
Hi. I live in Komifornia and can’t get either citrol266 or Eastwood pre paint prep here. Is there something else I can use?
Where can the "NEW VERSION" cerakote be purchased, how to tell which is the original or the NEW VERSION? No one mentions that
Can you use Citrol on tires before adding a dressing?
I know stoner tarminator works... idk if that helps ya
You can!

Very humid high 80%
can you do a review on Adams graphene ceramic spray... 🙏🏿🙏🏿
Hey Brian, how long does the cerakote last from real time experience on the exterior trim? Also what happens when it breaks down? Does it run or just fade away?
Hi Brian... How many of the packets of the Cerakote did you use on the Mini?
Could you use the same method for softer, or rubber trim, like let’s say around windows?
I would be careful on classic or antique...but yes.
Still waiting for sonax ultimate cut I wouldn’t use a brush it will marr paint even the super soft detail factory brush will it did on jp details focus rs after doing a 2 stage wet sand and 4 stage machine polish
I will make that the first video after the mini series.
Btw paint preps are completely safe don’t need to flush with water I use it for panel wipe after polishing its 100% safe
I still use a damp microfiber to...neutralize the prep after use.
Apex Detail I understand but imo it won’t it doesn’t mix with water there’s really no need to
*Coating the Min in my guess Graphine.*
No graphene this time.
Hey Brian, I have a MK7 GTI and it has exterior rubber trim around the windows and very little seems to look great on it. Would the Cerakote work well with that type of rubber trim?
Is it smooth or textured?
@@apexdetail85 It's smooth.
Y not solution finish but cerakote pretty good
I like both. depends on the situation.
Whatever happened to Solution Finish?
I have and use it...in certain circumstances
alberto seen this video
