Pan I need your help this product landed on my paint I’ve tried compound rubbing alcohol light compound and nothings gotten rid of the streaks around the plastic trim off the paint
I put Cerakote on my daughter’s car over a year ago. It is a Honda Element with acres of plastic, that was all gray. The car sits out in the Pacific Northwest weather, spent the summer in the mountains, and she never washes it. Over 14 months later, the plastic is still deep black and pretty shiny. It’s not even close to time to reapply it. I’m shocked and delighted. Great product.
My Pilot is in for bodywork at a Honda shop. I have health issues and can’t do the application inside. They are applying for “free.” I complained to the dealer about how bad the trim looks. He said all manufacturers use the plastic because it’s cheaper. You pay so much for a car and they chince out. I hope it lasts for several years.
Used this on my 6 year old CX9 last year and brought all the exterior trim back to life! Amazing stuff. As Pan said prep is key. Thoroughly wash and dry trim completely and you will not be disappointed. Held up very well over frequent washes. Water beads up very well.
This product is amazing!!! Just started break down after 3 yrs with no proper washing. I love it! The only thing is back and forth wiping may cause high spots. It doesnt seem self-leveling. But its the best trim restorer I've used to date.
@@PanTheOrganizer textured and smooth surfaces like fender trim and b-pillar finishers. I just got their new pro paint protection delivered as well thanks to you!. Gonna be applying that to my truck soon.😊
I applied this to the trim on a 2015 Range Rover Sport, back in August 2020. The car isn’t garaged kept, it stays outdoors, takes a beating from the sun and the weather. It’s been commuted for 300+ mile road trips many times, gone through tunnel washes monthly, and improper washes. 3 years later, I finally got to detail it again; and the trim is still looking new, not faded or failed at all. It’s a great product.
A buddy bought the product in the 4oz bottle off Amazon and used it on a couple/few of his vehicles. He told me he had a lot left in the bottle and encouraged me to give it a try. I’d purchased a 2018 Volvo V60 Polestar in early July and had corrected the paint and ceramic coated it. I’d not yet done anything with the black plastic of the cowl or under the hood. The stuff has blown me away! I applied it in mid August and wash the car almost weekly and it still looks as good as when it was first applied.
UPDATE: I bought a box of the Cerakote Trim Restorer to use on my friends' cars that I detailed and their faded black trims turned out fabulous!!! I also used it on my own car and the results were stupendous!!! GREAT product!! I've seen Cerakote in the stores, but didn't think about buying it. I'm thinking about it now, though! LOL! Thanks for posting, Pan!!!
Hi Eddie. I never had issues with trim coatings failing, so it's not a topic I explored or an issue I had to troubleshoot. Is this an issue you actually have? Or is this more of a hypothetical question following another video you saw on another channel perhaps?
@@PanTheOrganizer is something I saw somewhere else. Not sure if you saw it but it gave me some pause on how it was pitting the trim. Maybe it's because the gloss trim isn't capable with the restore.
@Ecdetails Hey brother, I highly recommend using Shine Supply Trim Coating and to maintain its coating you can use Shine Supply Clutch But keep in mind it depends on the condition of the trim, there’s different variations to restore trim either faded or no more paint you can restore it! Check out Shine Supply God Bless❤️
Pan I applied this to my windshield cowl back in the summer. It was on my 2006 Fusion. It was so faded and dehydrated looking. After the application, and to this day, it looks brand new. I was blown away. Glad you're bringing this amazing product to the attention of the masses.
I own and operate a car wash in jamaica, I used it on a number of vehicles and it has been very last. It's on my vehicle for over two years and still looking great. I highly recommend it
I used cerakote on my wife’s rav4 and we ran it through the drive through car wash once a week for 2 years and the majority of the product is still on and the plastic looks great. Definitely an easy product to use that gives lasting results and is not expensive.

I just applied this to the Black Trim on the 2021 Explorer XLT Sport that My Mom just bought. It had 40k miles on it, and the Plastics weren't really Faded, but after applying this to the Trim it looks INCREDIBLE! It Definitely made the trim a Rich Glossy Black, not like the Matte Black that it looked like. I'm very Impressed with the Product. I'm glad to see people saying that it still looks as good as it did, Years later.

@PanTheOrganizer I've been following you for a few years now. I found your channel when I was researching Ceramic Car Washes for My Honda Accord Coupe back in 2021. I found your review of ArmorAll's Extreme Shield +Ceramic Car Wash, and Have Sworn by it Ever Since.
Cool! Funny how you found me through the Armor All review as I was underwhelmed by that product and could never recommend it in my awards. But it goes to show different people can have different experiences with products. I hope you’ll have a good week!
Having just applied to my 2 year old SUV, I would recommend only applying to matte/rough absorbent plastic trims as it is too shiny for smooth plastic trims. On matte plastic trims, there is a slight shine to (that you can see in this video) which complements a ceramic coated car in a good way. This slight shine persists even after drying so be aware if you dont like this look and prefer the factory look without the slight gloss. I was driven to apply this because I had created some unsightly marks from using a magic eraser to remove some stains; this product helps to mask those marks very well so it achieved what I wanted from it.
Thanks for highlighting this product, as it looks like really good stuff. I have a box of it that I bought last year and plan to do my plastic trim with it in the not distant future. Due to my diligent efforts in maintenance on my car, my trim hasn't faded badly but I would still like to bring it back to a showroom finish. I regularly apply protectant to the vinyl, rubber and plastic on my car and so the car still looks good after 5 years.
I'm going to use this on my Nissan Murano tonight. We're planning on taking a trip to Florida for a week and it's supposed to rain and storm all week. I've heard great things about this product.

Mostly an awesome product. Phenomenal on porous, matte plastic trim. I've read that people had issues with shiny trim over time, where it can flake. I had pretty good results when I applied it. Time will tell. Great stuff Pan.

I used this on my old 99 Ram 1500. Could not believe how easy it went on, but WOW, it makes the old truck look years younger. Rich black trim now instead of the grayish faded out look it had before. I purchased it after seeing your earlier video on touring the plant. Very impressed with the quality of their products. Thanks for what you do in showing us these products.
Pan, a BIG Thank You to introducing me to the rinseless wash way of cleaning. Just got to Arizona for the winter and used that process to clean my fifth wheel (full body paint and professionally ceramic coated-truck too) Can’t believe how easy and water saving way it is to clean those two up. Appreciate your channel and the education it gave me!!
I used this on my mini Cooper just before I sold it and it made the faded plastics look really good. Two years later I bought the car back and it is still there even after being parked outside. The only negatives imo are that it is glossy, so it can make certain plastics look unnatural. It also is not easy to apply to smooth plastics with the small wipes. I think a foam applicator would do fine though.
Hi Pan, Love your informative videos. They are a must for all detailers. I have used these Trim Coat wipes and find them as easily to apply as you've shown. The results are dark black trim. I've had mine on the car for 8 months so far and they still look dark black. No gray in sight. Truely a great product. Makes me want to try their new coating especially when on sale but I just put a coating on two months ago.
Like the product in some places, not so much in others. Worked good on trim around my 2008 Ford F-150, but only lasted a couple months on parts like window cowl and bed trim.
I just used this for the first time last week on my plastic windshield cowl. It worked great, but I got some pretty noticeable streaking once it cured. Any tips on how to fix this, and how to avoid it in the future?
Very good stuff. I was able to do my entire car's plastics (2013 WRX STI limited) with 1 wipe. Granted it doesn't have a ton of the type of plastic that can fade but it's like new again.

Hey Pan, watched this when it came out but returned to the video to see if I missed anything. I just got a brand new car and I want a trim protectant. Any recommendations (or a video I missed?). I didn’t see them listed in your Best Of 2023 video either. Appreciate the assist!
This video came after my 2023 awards. Also, this is meant to restore faded oxidized trim. This isn't for new trim. For protecting plastic trim on a new car, here's my recommendation: amzn.to/3KjiojT
I'm convinced this is an AWESOME product because I used it on 2 of my Ford trucks plastic moldings on top of the bed and 1 of the trucks foot runners. The runners aren't as bad because they aren't in the sun as much as the top of the bed. One thing is, the more dried out the plastic is, the more sheets you'll need to coat them, so make sure you have enough. One thing I wondered about was, could I use a bottle of ceramic liquid to rehydrate the little sheets? Or maybe even use an applicator to apply a ceramic coat and get the same results. If what is on the sheets is a totally different product/technology than what is in a bottle of ceramic, (not just sheets coated in the ceramic solution) then I would need to purchase more sheets to get the fantastic results that the Trim Coat gives. Thank you for bringing us this review of their plant, I'm sure their product will become a mainstay in every detailer's arsenal.
Pan you mention this if not for new cars, what should I use to clean and protect my moldings on a new GX550? Will ceramic coat in a few months. Love the content and hope to see some more hometheater/audio from you
If you are using a ceramic coating on your paint, check to see if it can also be applied to trim. Some paint coatings can be applied to paint, glass, wheels, lights and plastic trim. If it’s only a paint coating, you could buy a plastics costing like CarPro DLUX here: bit.ly/3kEb073
Pan you never stop amazing me, great vidéo, the result blew my mind, seems to be the best trim protectant on the market, if i'd need it one day, i'd know which one to choose.
I bought the trim restorer the ceramic paint sealant and the two little bottles of ceramic coating IV only used the sealant because were I live in Massachusetts so weather is getting colder but the sealant was awesome my SUV is Agate Black and it looks stunning Thanks for showing me these products...
I have a 2024 Ridgeline that has tons of black plastic trim. Even though it's garaged, I noticed the trim is beginning to "gray" slightly. I hope this stuff does the trick!
They've gone through about 20 washes on my fender flares on my jeep. Bout five of those washes using Carpro Reset. Still look like the day I applied it. Though my flares has some scuffs and scratches which caused the some of fibers of the applicator towelettes to get snaggled. So if u have some scratches or rough spots try to sand it down a bit.

One of my cars Honda Civic has faded grey trims that has a thick layer of white plastic crust, its difficult to remove, any trim restoration in the past just sits on the top and comes off very quickly. I'm thinking of 2000 grit sand paper, some APC and some panel prep spray and lots of elbow grease. There has go to be a better way to remove thos layer before applying this product? Pan? Cerakote? You guys have a better idea? Many thanks

Don’t know about how long it lasts but applied this just maybe a month ago on my 2016 that the plastics have been totally neglected… for once I didn’t go crazy ocd and even with my hap hazard application it turned out awesome and for the price I don’t see a downside. I am thinking about other random shit around the house that might benefit from it
I did my Cybertruck and it's shiny in some areas and dull in others. Any idea on how to get an even looking piece? And yes, I thorough wiping it with 2 passes.
Hi Pan, can you once cured apply a ceramic coating (Cerakote ceramic coating) on top of it? On your video of the cerakote ceramic coating you mention that it can be used on pretty any surface. Will the ceramic coating have better longevity that the Cerakote coat windshield? Thanks
Don't get confused. The Cerakote Professional Ceramic Paint Coating (the one presented in the previous video) is meant for paint, wheels, glass, PPF and vinyl wraps. Not plastics. This trim restorer is meant to restore faded and oxidized plastic trim. Once applied, it already provides ceramic protection, so you don't apply anything else over it. One product, done. But you could apply their Rapid Sealant spray on top, once cured, if you want.

A new car is never new until it's properly detailed. - at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example. - vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc - vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements - at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches - at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery. It's crucial to remove any previous protection before you apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond directly to a virgin clear coat. If you only plan on applying a regular carnauba wax or paint sealant though, you could decide to skip machine polishing, as those protectants can be applied over existing protection and it's not as crucial to prep the paint as well. I explain all of this in this popular video: ruclips.net/video/QgoyrC-5CMc/видео.html So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers: Audi RS6 Avant Performance: ruclips.net/video/L5SQ0ZIJCj0/видео.htmlsi=mcQiMs9HBLlaqjGK Mercedes AMG GT 63 Coupe: ruclips.net/video/4Kznrg3Z31o/видео.html Mercedes S 580: ruclips.net/video/Vq_tfcwryVI/видео.htmlsi=whord2_UEFSg28UW Tesla Model 3: ruclips.net/video/uV7QWwyuPL4/видео.html Aston Martin Vantage: ruclips.net/video/OKga3yZVTqo/видео.html Volvo XC60: ruclips.net/video/tvDBBenhYFA/видео.html Porsche 911 Carrera: ruclips.net/video/2ckiivbFqs4/видео.html Audi Q7: ruclips.net/video/t7HCBSVnizM/видео.html
So for a new vehicle. What should I use? This has done wonders for my daughter's care. It looks great. I bought some to put on my new Tahoe, but it does not need to be restored.
@PanTheOrganizer o we got a brand new ride two days ago and already had a rock or something scratch the plastic trim behind the wheel. Tried cleaning it but only got worse and now looks kind of white on that spot. Could I use this only on that one spot to get it black again? It's towards the bottom of the trim. Thanks in advance.

If I'm going to clay, polish (including trim) and apply a graphene coating to my car, should I skip the Cerakote on my trim, use it beforehand, or use it after? I'm worried about too many chemicals in such a short time. Thx!
So I did what said not to do and I applied this to a new vehicle. It looks great on the lower trim which is textured but the shiny trim around the windows, mirrors and back windshield wiper have begun to have white marks on them. What would you recommend someone use to protect new plastics and how can I remove this from the smooth plastics that did not come out well?
Thanks again Pan for the forum in which we can exchange ideas and experiences in detailing work. I have just applied the trim coat to the exterior black trim on my 5 year old all-black polished and coated car. The trim was not badly faded but it was noticeable, at least to me. The result far exceeded my expectations, with a deep wet glossy black that perfectly matches the rest of the car. It is at least as good, if not better, than how I remember the trim looking when it was new. I originally was only going to do a test application on one spot, but it was so quick and easy that I did the whole exterior trim and used only 3 packets out of the 10 supplied.
Awesome tutorial! Direct and to the point. You are 100% correct, so easy to use with incredible results. Great product we love using these on trim. They do have a potential smell. Do you happen to know if cerakote is working on a permanent trim repair/ restore?
Does this need to be wiped off after application? It looks streaky like it's unevenly drying, just wondering if it'll stay like that or change once fully dry.
@PanTheOrganizer Maybe I layered it too thick, I'm working with thin long strips so I went back and forth going down the trim. How would I take it off to redo?
I have a set of aluminum louvers on my mustang, and they came painted a flat black color, best description. I was wondering would a ceramic coating work to protect them.
Salut Pan! J'ai essayé trois produits : The Last Coat Ceratrim, Gyeon Trim et Cerakote. Cerakote fut celui avec le meilleur résultat. Le couvre-caisse du Tacoma de mon mari est à sa deuxième année et tout va bien 👍
I used this on a toyota tacoma and it went on and looks good on the rear bumper cap and smaller trim pieces. On the fender flares ( where there is much more exposed and rounded surfaces ), and any larger flat surfaces, this stuff didn't level very good and the result is streaky. it is quite glossy as well. anyone know if a second coat can be applied over the first?
Hi Pan , i ordered the ceramic professional from cerakote that you done a video about a few weeks ago and it's that popular it was sold out and there's a 3 week wait , hopefully in the next few weeks it will arrive and i can give some feed back . This trim restorer certainly looks the part .
Rest assured they are working as hard as humanly possible to get the orders shipped. Yeah the video was super popular and with a reason. It’s a great product and the deal is unbeatable. Enjoy!

But keep in mind it depends on the condition of the trim, there’s different variations to restore trim either faded or no more paint you can restore it! Check out Shine Supply

Pan I applied this to my windshield cowl back in the summer. It was on my 2006 Fusion. It was so faded and dehydrated looking. After the application, and to this day, it looks brand new. I was blown away. Glad you're bringing this amazing product to the attention of the masses.

Glad it worked out for you! Thanks for sharing your personal experience with it. How did you discover my channel by the way Teddy?

I just applied this to my 2016 Honda CR-V that had heavy oxidized plastic trim. It was very easy to apply and looks wonderful now. Thank you Pan!
I applied cerakote a year ago and so far the trim looks brand new. 👍🏻

Keep in mind this is made to restore faded oxidized plastics. Not for plastics that are in great condition.

Mostly an awesome product. Phenomenal on porous, matte plastic trim. I've read that people had issues with shiny trim over time, where it can flake. I had pretty good results when I applied it. Time will tell. Great stuff Pan.

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Thanks for sharing your experience! The sheets aren't the same thing as the bottle version for paint, to my knowledge.
Pan is correct, it is not the same.

One of my cars Honda Civic has faded grey trims that has a thick layer of white plastic crust, its difficult to remove, any trim restoration in the past just sits on the top and comes off very quickly. does it matte down? looks pretty shiny. would you recommend using it on interior plastics or is this strictly exterior plastics?
Only meant for exterior use. It mattes down a bit but still has a sheen to it.

Hi Pan, can you once cured apply a ceramic coating (Cerakote ceramic coating) on top of it? On your video of the cerakote ceramic coating you mention that it can be used on pretty any surface. Will the ceramic coating have better longevity that the Cerakote coat windshield? Thanks
Good question 🤔
Hope someone answer it
Don't get confused.
Yes, you can apply Cerakote® Rapid Paint Sealant over cured trim coat 👍
Ok thanks that’s clear. Regarding the windshield will the ceramic coating be better than the glass windshield coat?
Such a great product,more than satisfied! 🤩

Does this work on the glass side panels on suvs that tend to fade or oxidize?
Would this work well on plastic wheel wells?
If they are faded and oxidized yes.
2024 wrx which looks good now but what should I use in the future to protect and keep that new car look?
A new car is never new until it's properly detailed.
- at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example.
- vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc
- vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements
- at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches
- at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery.
I explain all of this in this popular video: ruclips.net/video/QgoyrC-5CMc/видео.html

Cool! Thanks for sharing your personal experience with us.
Awesome tutorial! Direct and to the point. You are 100% correct, so easy to use with incredible results. Great product we love using these on trim. They do have a potential smell.
Do you happen to know if cerakote is working on a permanent trim repair/ restore?
Thanks Tim! I don't know if they are working on another trim product.
I wonder, can i add this on headlights if I run out of step 3 headlight ceramic wipe?
No.
Does this need to be wiped off after application? It looks streaky like it's unevenly drying, just wondering if it'll stay like that or change once fully dry.
If you applied a thin, even layer, it self levels once it dried and gives a uniform finish.
This is meant for plastics. Not metal.
It is a very good product, it works perfectly. The only detail is that you must distribute it very well or it leaves high spots.
Yes take your time and ensure a proper, even coverage.
