    Thanks for the mention...and congrats to you for tackling this and makin it happen. Your honesty regarding experience level is to be commended. All too often I see folks offering advice, basically repeating information they watch or hear from others without any basis or experience of their own by which to support it, yet they position themselves as an expert on the subject. There's an old saying..."When setting out on a journey, do not seek advice from those who have never left home." You nailed this bud...very responsible and honest content. Cheers!

    At almost 80 years old, I've come up with a lot of sayings. I believe the one that would apply here would be... If you throw enough money at a 1958 Ford Edsel, you could make that go quick too... Good stuff thanks for posting...

    Very good info, I’m in the same category as you. I’m no mechanic but have tinkered with cars and bikes of all pedigrees since about 1966. I have a 2019 114 Heritage that I installed an S&S 475 cam with S&S cam plate, oil pump, tappets, Fuel Moto push rods. Did the work myself and tuned with the Power Vision tuner. Been debating investing in the Target Tune system and I appreciate your take on the subject. You’re correct about the 114 Heritage, it’s a beast.

    Dan loved this video because of the Dynojet info. I had the same setup on my 2018 Fatboy and I loved the info from the small screen. Especially the head temps and all the info it can give you. I plan on adding this to the Tri Glide just to keep a eye on the temperature of the heads. I plan on adding an additional oil cooler and the oil filter relocation to it also. After watching the DK Customs vids I am really concerned with the temps on on the 114 with all the riding I do in hot temps. Just got back from Daytona and did get to meet Baggers and brews in addition to Pro Monkey and his wife. Weather was great. I changed my ID
    It’s Marty. Blazer did a fantastic job pulling the trailer and TGlide.

    I can't believe Rinehart can't make their 2-1 header clear the rear brake pedal. I had the same problem! If you install the aftermarket billet pedal from HD it's even worse. Finally I just yanked off the 2-1 and slapped on some V&H Short Shots. They fit with the brake pedal with lots of clearance on my 2020 Fat Boy. Thanks for the review! I have the SE-131 and CR512 Cam with PV widebands/Target Tune as well. I love it.

    I just had installed the same pipes and installed the thunder Max brains to it. Only been a few weeks but a huge difference! Wish I would have known John M was selling the pipes I would’ve ordered from him for sure. Thanks for the video!

    Just wait until you add a cam. I’m guessing you just said to yourself, “I’m not adding a cam I’m happy with this”. Trust me you’ll add a cam. And you’ll absolutely love it. It’s a great bang for the buck. Anyways, the pipe sounds great and Baxter rules.

    Great video man. It's nice to see the changes and get honest reviews on thr things you've done to yours. Just ordered my PV through Fuelmoto set up with target tune(I had the SE autotuner added with my cam and pipes) as it's time to ditch the EPA tune and really see how my 18 FLHC runs.
    Keep up the awesome content, m8 heritages are such awesome scoots.

    I installed the SE 131 kit on my 2018 heritage and it is great. you are so right on the hp to weight ratio. much better than a touring bike. i ride very conservative so dont race it. mostly for getting on highway etc. i had my dyno tuned at harley. came out real good. good info on what you did.

    2014 103 ultra with a SE stage one here.. Tune is key, get them fuckin revs up baby. I realize this video is old and came here to check out the vision and target tune, results not satisfying enough to upgrade/change yet🤣 That's a lie I'm definitely upgrading one day but at 3-4k rpms seems like youre missing the punch🤤🤤 Apologies in advance it is the whiskey. Good video and thanks for the tech tips!

    Thanks for the share in your struggles. Did you have any trouble with your terminal wire ends slipping out? I tried tinning them which didn't help. Later I tried temporary bung connectors with some solid wire and roughing them up which worked for a good while but every now and then I'd see a blinking light and reseated and retightened only to encounter it again after a few months, so got tired of that and went to ferruled connectors which seem to grab better only to find out (after ohm checking from the o2 sensor to terminal screws) the red wire on Bank 2 wasn't making contact at the plug connector. I'm still dealing with that but while searching for solutions I stumbled across Dynojet's o2 sensor replacement for $138 but found some Bosch one's for $30 each. When they arrive I'll let you know how they work. The cross reference matched as per Bosch along with other vehicle applications and by physical appearance.
    After I find out if they work, I will rip into the old sensor's plug and see if I can repair or destroy it. I'm waiting on Bryce to reply in case there is some simple thing I missed.
    Did you ever load a file from Dynojet which will configure your settings instead of setting it up? On mine I keep getting the popping exhaust so came off the dwell little by little but am getting close to the max I can back it off as per Dynojet's advice.

    Thanks for sharing your experience, especially with the headers and the software settings. There is one thing I'm still unclear about when using stock headers. From what I can tell looking at the instructions for HD's 'M18 Oxygen Sensor Installation Tool' there's no need to get a new bung fitted, you just re-tap the stock one? (FYI I don't intend to pay hundreds for that OEM tapping kit!)

    Great video. Thanks for all of the useful information. I have a '20 FLHC with Stage II and DynoJet PV-2B. I was wondering how the heck you ran the cable from the diagnostic port all the way to the handlebars to get it mounted so nice. It seems pretty impossible to route that cable through the backbone of the bike due to the size of the end connectors, and I really just want to get a few good Autotune sessions on it and done. Can I ask how you routed your cable and if it is permanent? Any problem with it too close to the heads?
    Thanks!!

    Great video! I had the same issue and had to find all this out on my own…..but I do have a question for you about the Closed Loop Integrator….do you always ride with your bike with closed loop turned on?…..or do you do the auto tune with closed loop turned on and then flash the ECM with those changes made and then run open loop?

  • @ihatesjws1188
    @ihatesjws1188 2 года назад

    You still have to manually adjust AFR values for better performance. Target tune only adjust the VE tables so the calculations are correct. It is not making decisions to adjust AFR in different loads of the map.

    • @shawn9878
      @shawn9878 2 года назад

      My understanding is it will work a couple of autotune runs? Then load those back into base map... Is that correct?

    • @ihatesjws1188
      @ihatesjws1188 2 года назад +1

      @@shawn9878 target tune will adjust VE tables as you ride to get the proper calculations to meet the AFR target for that particular load, rpm that is set in the ecm. It does have an option to Autotune and reload the new adjusted map. The main thing to remember is if the bike is set at 14.6 at 2000 rpms at 40kpa, neither system will change that, it will only adjust to hit that target.
