    The only time the shark uses the second solution is when you use the hose. When you use it in standard mode, it only uses the main tank and at that point you can use any solution you want.

    Thank you for sharing. Shark has been making a lot of postings lately. I liked the fact it was a bit smaller in order to get to tight spots but it's clear Bissell seems better. Thank you again!

    I would go for the Bissell because I like using the trigger and it has 2 brushes which does a better job of cleaning

      Does the trigger make you feel happy? It's pointless when the shark automatic dispenses when it's moving forward and stops when it's moving backward. It doesn't make any sense why you would like taking an extra step

    Great review as always! I wonder if the steam from the bissell will penetrate through an area rug and damage LVP flooring underneath it?

    In the first test why so much foam in the bissell wastewater? I only get foam when pretreating with a different detergent. And how is it sucking up soap on the very first forward pass when the suction is in front of the water/soap coming out?

    Just a FYI, the Hydrosteam is on sale for $320 today on Amazon if you want to save a bit. Any quick thoughts with the hydrostream vs. powerscrub (I know you haven't tested it)? Its the final two I'm debating between (premium vs. budget).

    I'd like to see this test done again with left and right stain sample strips instead of forward and backwards. Honestly looking at the footage just before the cleaning starts @0:13 it seems this was skewed towards the Bissell because the stains were on top of the carpet in the Bissell and they look like they were pushed down deeper on the shark side if the stains were left and right at least we would know it was fair. I don't know if Bissell is a sponsor or you get more products from them or if it's just bias against shark because it's a discount brand you out of about 20 that I've seen where the shark doesn't kick the butt of the competitors. Very strange indeed

    Bought a Bissell Revolution Pet Pro about a year ago hoping for an improvement on my cheap $100 Bissell. The Revolution has had so many issues I don't even want to try a Bissell again. It leaks everywhere except out of the spray nozzles, has super poor suction, and every time I use it something else doesn't work, at this point I can only use it for suction as an overpriced spot cleaner

    We have Shark vacuums and like them for the most part but Bissell HydroSteam is hands down a better option.
    BTW you spelled HydroSteam wrong on your title.

    The StainStriker feature doesn't work on the floor head; the floor head only puts down the main cleaning solution. The StainStriker solution mixes with the main solution at the cleaning hose. If Shark were to add the StainStriker function to the main cleaning head, it would do a lot better with tougher stains. It's still a really good machine.

    Lowe's has Bissel at 319.99 special value. FWIW I just sent mine back to this Bissell because it didn't extract water very well at all and my carpets haven't dried yet.😢

    May be look at how to operate the machines correctly before you compare them against each other. You need clea ING solution in the main tank on the shark. The stain striker is what puts the oxy solution on the carpet but only through the hose and not the main cleaner. It's not a very fair comparison for the machines, considering you don't have the shark set up correctly. It could be worth doing another one with the machine set up correctly and then see how it does

    Shark has another model out called "carpet expert," but the machine in the video says steam striker/carpet expert?? Confusing. And you don't know what the extra bottle is even for, but you're doing a comparison video??

    • @aceimaj
      @aceimaj Месяц назад

      The smaller carpet expert doesn’t have “floor-vacuum” type; It’s more for spot cleaning and more portable. The extra bottle is for concentrated solution and tougher stain (spray then leave for a few-15 mins prior to scking it up.) It’s not being dispensed to the main / floor cleaner. I wasn’t aware of steam.. you meant “stain striker”?

  • @jareou
    @jareou 6 месяцев назад +1

    You said just water in the shark, you also suppose to add the deep cleaning solution to the water tank.
