I just purchased a home with heavily soiled carpet trying to salvage it and dont have funds to hire a service so i have to rent a unit what would you suggest i use to best pre treat the carpet to break down urine and stains
👍 The other great reason to have the portable unit is we had to clean the air traffic control station at an airport one time. It took all of the hoses from TWO trucks and didn't do a great job because A) the cleaning solution had so much distance to travel through the hoses it wasn't even hot once it got up to the cleaning wand and B) there was so much suction/vacuum hose attached that the vacuum was quite poor He makes very valid points, there's no single correct tool for every job
Cleaning with a 230 V extractor system is typically used for a industrial setting instead of a residential selling because US residential voltage typically is 110 V?

Thank you so much for your question. I think it has helped me understand where the hot water comes from. The machine itself is heating the water to create that steam?
We dumped in our customers yards, the only complaint we ever heard was "where you dumped it is the greenest spot in my yard now" Also, as he says make sure all the soap gets out. Think about it like this, that soap is like a magnet to dirt, think of soap scum in the bathtub, same idea.
wouldn't you normally vacuum before spraying liquid cleaner on the carpet? why wasn't the furniture removed? im so confused why this is considered "professional", but maybe im missing something.
I’m, I personally would have encapsulated that carpet. If you do a 2 step by agitating with a fiber pad after you let your prespray sit about 10 minutes. Then go over again with bonnet should turn out well, and there won’t be any soapy residue left or any wick back. I should really make some videos. I be doing this 20+ yrs. 3-5 hrs. Lol.
I’d ask customers to expose the whole floor so you can clean the whole carpet incase they move furniture around in the future. Other than that, I’d give the video an A+

You just don't go over a area 2 or 3 times and say thats good. Because it's not. You go over it until no more dirty water is coming up. And only clean water is coming up. And then you keep going over it until NO water comes up. That is a completely clean carpet. And this process takes a very long time. To where 1 room could take 3 to 4 hours. Thank you.
He just demonstrated that you don’t need fancy equipment to get a job done nicely, even his foot was apart of the job nice one, it’s really inspiring.
Lol, yes the foot is an important tool here.
@@Caliber8Tools I like the foot part. He never said we needed the foot for the job.
A customer saw me make a spot disappear by rubbing my tennis shoe on it and she asked, "What kind of shoes are those?" LOL! For real.
I enjoyed this! Carpet looks great and was therapeutic to watch. Lance did one hell of a job!
Appreciate that. Thank you.
Very impressive! Specially the stain removal. Great job.
I was waiting for the before and after pictures. It would be nice to see it after all.
He did do a good job. You’re right.
That was a fantastic video. You obviously know your stuff anyone would love to work for you or hire you to clean their carpet. Well done.
Appreciate the feedback. Thanks.
Thank you for all the good information. Great job. Integrity is awesome to watch.

I agree, but am I the only one who notice he sprayed the powerstrip outlet on the floor? 🤣 At least it was unplugged.

Is there a rake you can recommend for residential use? Most on Amazon are advertised for picking up dog hair don't know if they fluff very well
Never used one but I know carpet rakes are supposed to fluff carpets along with getting up pet hair.
I just purchased a home with heavily soiled carpet trying to salvage it and dont have funds to hire a service so i have to rent a unit what would you suggest i use to best pre treat the carpet to break down urine and stains
Baking soda, let it sit for a few hours.

Start out with a truck mount unit. Small, medium or large. Pick your price.
He reminds me of you. Are you two related? Both of you have valuable information. Thanks for sharing.
No relation. Glad it helped.
Really do appreciate the insight by a professional. Thanks!
How long would a job like this normally take?
That was a one bed room apartment. Around the length of the video give or take 30 min of prep.
I used to get my carpets cleaned professionally 2 times a year but I can’t afford it anymore. Anyone have suggestions? Buy the big green machine?
get them done once a year instead by a pro, once is better than none

Yes
@@Caliber8Tools I appreciate your response

Is the water being used hot? If so, how does it get hot?
Yes, the water is heated by the carpet cleaning machine.
First vacuum then treatment then
agitate then use the wand or the rotovac 360xl

wow!!!!! that dirty 😢water rinse water was filthy!!! great vidseos

What were you using on the spray bottles?
Not sure what he had in there but it worked like a charm. I’ll get back to you on it.
Gotcha I totally forgot this wasn’t the Chanel of the carpet cleaner
With all that work that he had to put in. Would it not be cheaper to replace the carpet? Can you provide me with a cost comparison?
Especially if it is not so expensive looking carpet.
Thank you for this amazing tips 🙏🙏

This dude is good at what he dose
Why didn't he use the truckmount
Also does the wand type really matter. I seen 2 tips and these fancy kinds.
Is the white solution you used oxy booster?
It’s his own blend, not sure what it is.
What chemicals are you using?
He has his own proprietary mix apparently.

wouldn't you normally vacuum before spraying liquid cleaner on the carpet? why wasn't the furniture removed? im so confused why this is considered "professional", but maybe im missing something.
All that was done.
What is the scrubber called
It’s a scrub brush/broom.
How much you charged for that project
The broom you used is it stiff bristle or soft bristle and should you use different brushes for different carpets
Stiff for commercial or synthetic carpets, soft for natural fiber carpets(wool, silk, cotton).
@@Caliber8Toolsand do you have any methods or techniques of identifying what material the carpet is made of or is it just obvious in person
Thank hod for hard wood floors because I just get a new rug because washing a carpet is hell I’ve tried it ❤
I hear you. lol.
Scrubbers or crb (counter rotating brush) are more effective) for agitation
Thanks for the tip.
Should of vacuumed first my man!!

You can vacuum with the wand first and use 2" hose to pick up other stuff. Most customers are smart enough to vacuum for us before we get there
This is better then watching ppl mow lawns
Lol. Right.
