    Kia Ora Chris, Love Vietnam!!! Thanks for sharing your views on Vietnam Airlines. I have never flown with VA however you are correct; the interior is a bit tired, but glad the food and the service made well up for it. As with most Asian Airlines, I find the food absolutely scrumptious!!! Enjoy your Day 🙂

    Yes, the on board wifi is accessible, but it can only be used to access the Vietnam airlines in flight entertainment website, on which you can watch some movies, listen to some music and read a limited selection of ebooks, nothing exceptional. Honestly on short route like this, you dont really need much. Even tho I'm working for this airlines, I have to admit there are many things we should change, like the dated interior and seats, the domestic lounge should be improved too. But as we're still recovering from Covid and a huge debt, because of which we have to cut some cost in various parts of services. I think it's gonna take a while. But slowly we will receive the newly made Airbus and Boeing crafts, which are gonna significantly improve our fleet and the quality of in flight services.
    Also welcome to DAD airport, where I work too, I hope this airport and our ground services didnt disappoint you.

      Very interesting information, thank you. I honestly don’t bother about inflight WIFI too much, as flying is always a good reason for me to „disconnect“. Otherwise, since I‘m from Europe and a victim of European style Business Class, VNA is top notch even with the outdated cabin, compared to what I get in Europe. However compared to other Asian full service carriers, the benchmark is certainly different. Regarding DAD, I have nothing to complain about, except maybe the lack of Priority Pass lounges in the domestic terminal. But that’s complaining on luxury level ;-)

    Great video as usual. Let me try to explain the dessert: its grass jelly and sago in milk. Grass jelly is the black stuff, it cools the body down. Sago is similar to tapioca, the pearls in bubble tea. And the milk is usually coconut milk, sometimes mixed with sweetened condensed milk and also regular cow milk.
    In East Asia dessert is usually a sweet soup/liquid, this one is an example of that. I'm from Hong Kong and we have something very similar: mango pomelo sago. Quite a self explanatory name.

    Hello my friend! That inflight meal looked fresh and tasty, I love the foods over there. That was funny about the dessert m I don’t have any idea what that was either. As always, love to see your reviews and wish you safe travels and God Bless…… ->-- Brian

    I have seen RUclips content by Asian creators and every once in a while, even they run into some type of food where they don't know what it is. Asian cuisines are just unique, I like to think that they are for the brave and the adventurous who like to try new foods. The Vietnam Airlines domestic first class looked very comparable to what I'm used to here in the USA. American, Delta, United, Alaska and probably a few others offer a very similar product. For a short 90-minute flight, it's perfectly fine and enjoyable. I have only had one European business class experience and that was with Alitalia from London to Rome. That Alitalia experience was nothing special and certainly not worth any extra money.

      Dining on Asian airlines indeed is an experience. I‘m currently working on a video with another gourmet „challenge“, but next level :)

    VNA is not a 5 star airline but it is the best in Vietnam miles ahead of its competitor - Vietjet is also known as Vietlate and Bamboo airways will cancelled your tickets and refused to refund the money

      I was lucky with Bamboo then, and a Vietjet video is coming soon :)

    A lot of reviewers collect certain things from airlines, do you? When I used to fly a lot, I would collect branded pens when available as well as branded waste (vomit) bags, unused of course. Sounds strange I know, but most people thought it was interesting.

    • @forgotmypassport
      @forgotmypassport  4 месяца назад +1

      I only collect my boarding passes (if on paper) and the amenity kits if there is any. That’s about it. Ah yes, if handed out, I‘d also keep the pen, haven’t got many yet though, only Thai, Swiss, LOT, Vietnam, Belavia and ATI if I recall correctly.

      @@forgotmypassport VN airline is owned by the govt so they can do whatever they want to and that is why they always reported loss (just like any govt businesses in the world, sucks in service), my flight from Hanoi to HCM city was delayed 4 times from 0900 until 1400 (not many customers so they delayed to get all 4 flights into 1)
