By the way, when looking for a way to get the rest of the archivement, I found fast simple cheating way :( Never do that, or you wouldn't get anything besides the archivements. 1. Get a memory scanner. At the start of the game look for the minerals/energy slots. Remembr if you have 200 minerals, you should look for 200000-200999 numbers. EVERYTHING you look should be multiplied by 1000. Set at max (5k). You could fill them later again. 2. Stop the research, collect research points. Once they differ from 0 - do the same scan. Maximum research allowed to set is 2m, so place 2.000.000.000 (x1000). 3. Do same with unity, but sometimes it's not working from the first time. Jusr repeat. Same 2m value. Endless unity - all tradition. Hire Meticulous scientists, send them look for the anomalias. Hire +10 research scientists for the research. Technology ascendancy, Enigmatic engennering, +fleet. Any ascendacy, but genetic is best. Erudite trait. Look for the brainslug and alien box. Maximise your race first, set ALL positive traits you want WITH the brainslug. Open the AlienBox. Blue - live loger, Green - increased habitability (worthless IMO), red - strengh (+% minerals). Blue is best, since you leaders would live longer. AND NOW, you go for any archivement in Iron Man mode. i.gyazo.com/2331defc42a75224d5788c648a250503.jpg Maximum boost on science: i.gyazo.com/1f0292482e3442c4c6dae48d7a95eac6.jpg
ps., there's anoter bug. Repeated techs considered to be single, once it comes for the vassal relations. So it worths creating a 1 planet vassal, once you start repeating technologies. Vassal have the same techs at the start, but you share the techs, and receive 30% boost on the repeated techs, even if you are way ahead of him, his lvl2 repeated tech would be considered same technology as your decired lvl21. Free +30% boost from a 1 planet uplifted vassal. Take a note on that.
Yep. I had it approach me and offer to uplift after I had cheated myself up to endgame crisis threat level territory. Yes, when I start losing badly I cheat myself up and get a little revenge before starting a new game.
It used to be nice to swap out the intelligent trait and use the 2 points for some other gene engineering but in my current 2.2.3 game i've got the event with intelligent quick learner pops yet ascension didn't remove these traits as it used to.
Wut, I had it come to me while I was getting ahead of other players. That being said, it moved away to an other empire a couple years later. edit; it was just scanning me. jumped to quickly.
would have been cool, if the "enigmatic Madness" turned your spiecies into a devouring swarm or something like that. Maybe throw in a massive bonus to resources combined with a massive reduction to science in aswell and it would be really fun to play with. But this just seems kind of... disapointing
like make your species a raving masss of violent beings that cant do science but will kill everything in sight? So + in xenopobia and millitarism big - in science and really big + in army damage
Hypnopedia is the process of sleep learning, so he is capturing your people, hitting them on the head with a giant cylinder frying pan, teaching them all of their college courses and all of their space college courses, and then yeeting them back on your planet.
So this thing ended up scanning one of my habitats, and it Stayed there. For a good, Lets say.... *250 Years* I builded that habitat full with labs and now i got an infinite bonus 😂
Tat infinite bonus for your built labs is still only 30%. Try building a lab habitat over a precurser planet (10 science field in habitat) now that is what a science boost looks like.
This may have an overflow for how strong it considers you to be, as it uplifted me in my last game when I owned ~70% of the galaxy and had purged all but two other empires.
thought the cashe ship was like the whale probe from Star Trek when i saw the notification. after watching the video it still seems like it is, because it can slow down your research speed and that can lead to another empire getting a Colossus first, at which point you may as well get ready for an Exterminatus aimed right at your empire.
I had the cache show up, and the second time it appeared I declined uplifting and the cache didn't leave nor did it uplift my species. It just sits in orbit over my homeworld. Forever.
Well, this is really interesting! I've never had this event happen to me in any of my playthroughs, but I *have* noticed that some species would have the trait at one point or another, and I always wondered what it was from! Thankya, Aspec.
Just to mention, in my last life-seeded game i got erudite before the giant cylinder uplifted me so I got to keep both traits. My species had uplifted trait with 25% leader exp., erudite, venerable, thrifty & traditional.
Edit: Was about to make a post about inaccuracies in the video and then saw your "correction" post. :p Today, I just happened to be using a species that had BOTH "Intelligent" and "Quick Learners" and I was lucky enough to get the best ascension outcome: +10% to all research AND +25% bonus to leaders. What isn't really specified in the video is that you get ALL your species trait points refunded, so even though I can no longer equip Intelligent and Quick Learners (not compatible with the Uplifted trait), I can now use my 3 trait points to buff traits instead. Now keep in mind, I got lucky with the best possible outcome, but I would definitely say I came out ahead with the best reward. My species now has Psionic (+10% Research, +5% Happiness), Uplifted (+10% Research, +25% Leader XP), Traditional (+10% Unity to all Jobs), and Sedentary (more expensive resettlement, but who cares about that?). So my species has basically "ascended" twice over now, which is as awesome as it sounds. Not bad at all if you ask me.
Meh, so it's basically useless. You only get it if you're the weakest and you risk getting worse off. And the "good" version messes with your ability to get erudite! Not to mention removes your intelligent and other leader buffing traits. :\
One thing is that if you get this and get the Average version (Save whore it). You can stack this and the box that gives you a really good trait. Whit this you could end up with an insane strong pop if you are going genetics.
Should mention, it doesn't require you to be the weakest, I think you literally just have to not be the strongest (they include Fallen Empires as well).
I got it last night and it uplifted my species, it was great. As if my Empire wasn't OP enough xD Edit: I didn't know the enigmatic cache only uplifted "weak" species, I was superior in tech to I think most of them, and I definitely was superior in fleet power.
Someone mentioned the video was wrong. The cache will sipmly not help the STRONGEST of them all, and since the cache also counts Falle Empires, its likely you can be selected for the cache.
Actually, it is known that the cache, used to, don't know if it still does, will at some point bug out, and the equation finding who is weakest for the cache to uplift overflows, causing it to further boost a very op empire. It was patched tho prob
This video is incorrect actually. You do not have to be the Weakest, just not the Strongest Empire (the Enigmatic Cache also counts Fallen Empires.) Furthermore, Uplifted and Erudite stack IF you mod Erudite in when the project is available but before you start the research. However, you do not get Leader Bonuses from Uplifted and Erudite simultaneously. This is as of patch 2.1.3
they should use this in the star trek mod as a custom borg ship that builds the planetary assimilation mega structure. or maybe a mobile transwarp gate hub for smaller ships.
I remember I got visited by one... and it didnt do nothing. See, the problem is I LOVE playing a technological empire that spams Habitats. At some point I had 5 plantes and over 30 Habitats, if not more, and 2 Ring worlds, 4 planets each as we know. Basically I remained untill the crisis came and I defeated it and even then the tube wasn't even half done studying my empire.
So I watched this video, and low and behold an hour later I have the cache contact me. At first I was like, Oh dang. I didn't realize I was doing so badly. I had just conquered the 3 closest empires to me, and was feeling about ready to hit the next one. Then I looked at all the other empires, and they are all pathetic or inferior. Even the fallen empire. Thus I am confused on how this thing chooses it's targets. My entire empire is made up of droids aside from a couple core planets. So maybe this affected it somehow. My species is also the least populous in the galaxy. Again because Droid. My empire had 3 times the population of the empire in 2nd.
Oh, turns out it's bugged.I opted to let it do it's thing and I can no longer interact with it in anyway. It says it needs a science ship, but there's no area to interact with it. It's very likely that because I just wiped out an empire that it was headed to that empire, but since they are gone it defaulted to talking to their new overlord.
Wait, I had erodite but then got the total uplifted. I had them both. Is this a bug? I was the most advanced in tech but average in economy and had literally no navy to speak of. Maybe that's why it selected me idk.
I use it to level up admirals. Attack the cache, find it's two beloved teleport systems. put some fleets there and it would loop between systems endlessly, providing admiral with 5xp every time. A bit of time, firing some bad admirals, and you would have max level desired admirals (+20% speed, +10% weapon range).
Two fleets, with Cache jumping between them. Every fleet admiral would get 5ex after each cache jump. Admirals obtain second perk on 3-6 lvl, usually. Once you have 3 admirals with proper perks at lvl10/MAXlvl, you just disband one fleet. Yet, have to tell, leaders perks are a bit buggy. Especially brainslug. Iron Man (no mods) screenshot: i.gyazo.com/acc0c395eb70f692972ef5e4ec8234b2.jpg
Leave two dummy fleets to pop the admirals on. Remove them the alternating days it jumps out and put them on the real fleets. The unbidden never knew what hit them. And then my achievement bugged... just like the scourge achievement bugged by never spawning the special project. And I'm very upset because of it.
huh, for me the cache always just bounces in between planets within a certain region of the galaxy, sometimes even returning to the same ones (not sure on that one, but it feels like it). It never really seems to move on.
>going full psionic >despite being militarist have warred once for 3 systems >have this particular event chain >got visited by cache after it finished scanning >yay, now I have better traits >Watch this video afterwards >tfw I was the weakest nation at that point
Oh so thats what it does, I always play on larger galaxies with more ai empires so it must take so long to finish scanning by the time it finishes im by far the strongest.
Idk if my game is bugged but the cache just scans all the inhabited planets in the galaxy and never avtually reaches a point where it gets to do it's task
I think the point is to get uplifted and stack maximum research bonuses. Does anyone know the id to activate it with a console. I know event distar.2050 is to spawn the enigmatic cache in the universe, but is there a way to spawn the event to get a chance to become uplifted? I think the name Baldor is backwards for Rod Lab. I'm not sure what this is a reference too as far as the name. Is this really a reference to star trek though. It's similar to the movie craft, but I wonder if there aren't other refrences. Also, I think it leaves the +30% bonus to the last planet it visted before coming to you. I have a game where it left a bonus on before coming to my capital world to uplift me. I think it might be a glitch though. Are you sure you can't get erudite first and then get it applied on top of it? I think I've seen people mention it can be mixed at max bonus somehow. It would help as it lets you max out bonus to exp for maxing out a scientist fleet. Edit: I just used cheats to apply uplift after getting erudite and it didn't remove it. it may be doable.
So that's the reason why my pathetic federation ally became equivalent to me with quite an overwhelming tech against me, and is now competing with me in the final years for who wins.. they got the erudite trait, i should have destroyed the cache or them earlier on
Could you get a tributary or vassal state of 1 planet and you dont give them any type of help tech wise and only give them food and stuff to survive so the cache selects them and then you can integrate them with the nice trains and modify you species to have the good traits ? Someone has to try it :v
In my game, I started as a fanatic purifier, smashed all other empires and slaughtered all the primitives and it chose me because the only other empire was a fallen one :).
Hmmm, dont know about you guys but the cache always comes visit me (so by that time on all my games so far i guess in the weakest lol) but i get the good ending every time
i don't exactly understand what is "pathetic" to it, does it count by planets? or does it count by power? if it counts by power i don't really get why it came back to me since my empire's power out-class every other empire (including fallen) and technology level as well.
i going to this video because i disarm my self (my ship have armor and shield but i refund the weapon) so everyone guarantee my independent. and the chache try uplift my species and here am I.
Hmmm... You know, if you are the weakest species on the blick, might as well gamble on it ^^; Also, in case of a failure, one more trait for the pop-bomb!
Correction;
I've reviewed the script for this event again, and a long as youre not the baddest mofo on the block it can return. Still not worth it.
By the way, when looking for a way to get the rest of the archivement, I found fast simple cheating way :(

Nah, that's the amoebae (just not bubbles).
@@theapexsurvivor9538 how do you even tell the difference????

Another fun one would have the madness come with vastly increased chances of getting psionics research, because there is a _reason_ they are crazy.

Just to mention, in my last life-seeded game i got erudite before the giant cylinder uplifted me so I got to keep both traits. My species had uplifted trait with 25% leader exp., erudite, venerable, thrifty & traditional.
Sounds op af
Interestingly my op af uplifted/erudite template is showing -1 (negative 1), points remaining on genetic mod tab. So i guess its a little buggy.
Just find them some whales and they will leave
I've only ever triggered this after genociding everyone except the fallen empires so I was 'behind' in tec
When you’ve gotten this twice
What a tubular a.i.~
it doesn't return to the weakest! i was the strongest empire in my galaxy and it came back to me
What DLC does it spawn in?
I loved the Rama book
To bad the sequels got meh quickly
Wat dlc does this require
RIP Ted Stevens
you said it scans even primitive civs, then it's a pretty low chance that you'll be selected seeing as you'll likely never be worse than primitives
Listen to his wording, upon describing that part he said, "space fairing civilization".
0:30 I considered "primitives" as non space faring
i don't exactly understand what is "pathetic" to it, does it count by planets? or does it count by power? if it counts by power i don't really get why it came back to me since my empire's power out-class every other empire (including fallen) and technology level as well.
So you're telling me the Pikitiki gecko's can become a threat
They do have that giant station
did they take out the districts and readd the buildings or is that just for the DLC new DLC that's out for stellaris?
Lavosians. Lavos. This thing is evil
I found this thing in 5 min of a world i just started we plugged into it i didnt know if could seek u out idk if im lucky or unlucky
never seen this before? part for a specfic dlc? or a new thing?
Is this something that is in console edition as of it being 2.2
It has a 90 day charge on its jump drive. If you control enough of the galaxy you can kill it. You don't get anything for it though.
i going to this video because i disarm my self (my ship have armor and shield but i refund the weapon) so everyone guarantee my independent. and the chache try uplift my species and here am I.
So if you shoot it down does it just do nothing? I haven’t had it spawn for me.
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the aliens that live on gas planets refer to you as Baldur when you help them mistaking you for them
What happens if you blast it?
Hmmm...
You know, if you are the weakest species on the blick, might as well gamble on it ^^;
Also, in case of a failure, one more trait for the pop-bomb!
DA TOOOOB
Tiles ? What are those ?
Annoyingly they got his name wrong. 41 in Roman numerals should have been XLII not XXXXIII
It scanned my 3 planets in my game.
and at least 5 of mine... kinda lost count cuz I stopped following it.
Reminding you to turn that off.
Is this still in the game
