    I made it by following your instructions; successfully punched two holes on my newly purchased belt😁 Thank you.

    Thank you, that was very helpful. I've recently lost weight and didn't want to get new belts just yet. This will save me some money. 😊

    But the holes look like crap and eventually makes the belt go bad.

    Start at 1:15 for adjustments; easier than assumed!

    I don't have enough strength( I'm female) or what's the problem? I just can't make that damn hole 😑

      Have you tried to rotate the tool side to side as you squeeze. This will usually cut through much easier than simply squeezing.

    Where can you purchase the belt hole punchers? I looked on the Hank's Belts website and couldn't find them.

    • @HanksBelts
      @HanksBelts  2 года назад

      We do not sell the hole punches but you can usually find them at Walmart and craft stores.

      Most of the hole punchers that are sold are too small and the jaws don't open large enough for the thick belts.

    Can a leather punch cut a hole in a padded dog collar (.5" thick)?

    • @HanksBelts
      @HanksBelts  Год назад

      It should handle it. You may have to rotate the punch while punching is all.

    The Jvedo hand press machine I use is more labor-saving and can install a round hole punch and a prong for the leather opening. Very convenient and efficient

      Thanks for sharing. For sure if you are doing a lot of holes. If you just need an occasional hole the hand punch is much more affordable.

    Whenever I use my hole puncher the belts seem to separate. Should I line the hole with glue after?

    • @HanksBelts
      @HanksBelts  3 года назад

      Hey Wanda, On department belts this may happen and a bit of glue may help. This is not an issue on our belts as we use real full grain leather on all of ours. Department store belts may delaminate though. Thanks!
