  • In this video I compare and contrast The Gunner and The Everyday from Hank's Belts, which are their two most popular belts.
    This video is not sponsored in any way, I was just looking for a great full grain leather belt for myself and found Hank's Belts to be exactly what I was looking for. They have fantastic customer service, a great return policy, and a 100 year warranty!

    Which belt do you guys like better?

    There's so much detail in this review with no wasted time, A+. My biggest wants are having a minimal bulge at the buckle and enough holes to mitigate potential sizing errors/changes. You've addressed both of these, so going with the gunner! Now to get brown or black...

    Great in depth review. There was real value in this video, not just trying to fill time. Thank you.

    Just got my everyday belt. And compared to my 18 y/o American eagle belt which is still going strong, I’m not sure how I’m gonna get used to how much wiggle room the buckle area has and how thick it is. The AE belt isn’t designed to ever take apart and the buckle is tightly secured which I love.
    And thought I should add my everyday belt has the rivets of the gunner that you showed. But with the dark color.

    1:30 based on your understanding, 1oz = 1/16" of leather, your 14oz leather belt would be 7/8" thick. I think what you mean 1/64" per oz, or in the case of 14oz leather, or 7/32 thick which is just a fraction less than 1/4" thick.

      Yes you’re right, thank you for the correction!

    I own 6 different ones. In 2 different sizes. They are the best. I suggest go thicker is better. The good basic is the gunner belt. But go for a thicker

    • @Richardlizhu

      Agree, I love how thick they are, and they wear really well over time

    Thanks for the review. Do you edc a pistol?

    • @Richardlizhu
      @Richardlizhu  4 года назад

      You're welcome! I don't edc a pistol, but I sometimes carry around a knife or Leatherman. Can confirm that either of these belts would be great if you want to edc a pistol, just remember to go up 1 size. I'm normally a 34 so I went up to a 36.

    Great review now im completely lost lol the gunner belt is suppose to be more utility and thicker then the everyday. Also thanks for pointing out the buldge at buckle that is annoying if you are weaing a tshirt and jeans...im gonna try the gunner belt before i go up into the more expensive belts thanks

    • @Richardlizhu
      @Richardlizhu  3 года назад

      Yep! The belts are probably cut from the same thickness of leather, and there's just slight variations in thickness. The bulge doesn't really bother me, just thought I should note it

    Would the everyday belt still be good for carrying a small gun occasionally?

    • @Richardlizhu
      @Richardlizhu  Год назад +1

      Yes definitely, aside from the things I mentioned in the video, they’re about the same, both are great for carrying a gun. Both thick and sturdy belts

    Could you try to fold the belts. The gunner should not bend.

      It seems like they have stopped listing their products on Amazon, which is super unfortunate for us who wanted to buy from Amazon 🙁

      There's a bit of droop in the back, but it's completely expected, and they made a post about it here: www.hanksbelts.com/blogs/all-about-gun-belts/why-does-my-belt-curve-in-the-back

    Rich most of Hanks buckles are made in CHINA... the belts in the USA. Just found that out. It bothered me because they say made in the USA but thats just the belts.

      Interesting, I recently saw this video: ruclips.net/video/4k0TDvFugFY/видео.html, where he says the hardware is made in the USA as well. I personally don't especially care where something is made as long as it's good
