Awesome demo - when I recommended Adobe Speech Enhancement to friends who do video on location in India, they were thrilled by the results - they shoot a lot of video in noisy locations.
Glad to have helped. Sometimes it's unavoidable to shoot in noisy locations and in those cases you'd want to be selecting directional microphones and getting as close as possible to try to keep the signal to noise ratio as good as possible in favour of recording good quality audio.

Great video! Thanks a lot, I do have a question if I want to upload a file and enhance it what format does the file have to be in? Eg does the file have to be in Mp3

hi mike Apart from all your great learning tutorials i like your voice, it is deep, clear and manly. some times i create content for my instagram and my buisenes (record in my home) if my voice recorded be like yours i will be more happy. so would you pls each time you upload any video tell us about your mic model, audio interface and record area? and would pls teach us how you make your voice such this good ? i mean your daily voice exercises , voice warming and post productions (eq, compression and ...)

Sure you can, not directly, you'd download it as an audio file and import. Native import with edits would certainly be interesting 🤔
The only issue I have encountered with this tool is that when you record with a guest, you can hear sound glitches everytime our voices overlap. Other than that, it's a fabulous time saving tool. Thank you for this video :)

Speech enhancement is openly available without access to Podcast and I put all my voice overs through it before editing my videos now

@@MikeRussell It's been kind of a game changer to be honest. I have a Blue Yeti and a room that can't become perfectly sound proofed for various reasons. I used to spend an hour doing everything possible I had learned from your videos and get a decent result. Now I just upload it into Speech Enhance and a minute or two later, I have a result that's BETTER than what all that work would make. Pretty sure they trained the AI model on that Shure-mic everyone seem to have :D
It's got a way to go to beat descript - but then Adobe has been doing well with their generative AI in photoshop so lets wait and see!
They all have a way to go to catch up to a human producer still!

i get being whitelist but the guests feature will they need to be whitelisted aswell?
No, the guests will not need to be whitelisted to use Adobe Podcast Beta. Only the main host.
What app or software are you using to show up on the screen while you show us what you doing.
I use OBS Studio, a free and open-source software for screen recording and live streaming, to show my audio editing process on screen in my videos.

Absolutely! There are plenty of other apps that can help improve your editing efficiency, such as Audacity and GarageBand. Give them a try while you wait for Adobe's AI audio editing tool!

My issue with Adobe is their stability, particularly their premier pro. Another thing is that they are charging subscription for their softwares because they thought it might be more profitable, but it's ended up backfiring because people are using davinci resolve. People use to hate davinci resolve because it's so difficult to use, but with more and more videos teaching people how to use davinci resolve, everyone is using it. I think they should revert back to flat fee when buying the software, then sell different version, like version 1, then after many years, sell version 2.
It's two totally separate business models, but the Adobe model is definitely working for them. And as regards stability, it's not an issue I've had with Adobe products which are generally very stable and reliable when running on computers meeting or exceeding the minimum specs.
I do this with Google’s recorder app that I also like.

Enhance speech is a huge miss here and on most of my samples as well, it makes your good ics sound bad somehow, maybe they’ll fix it soon. It’s got potential but currently, not very accurate
AI lacks the trained ear of a professional producer at this point in time

Most are desktop based apps at the moment I'm afraid if it's text based audio editing you need.

looks like if I have multiple tracks recorded, I couldn't use this tool, since in the editing view, it only stack multiple audio files, could not mix them. Sad.
I’m sure that in the future Adobe Podcast will get better with multiple audio tracks.

You can't merge two sessions per se. You can copy from one session and paste into another but there is no merge option

No, Adobe's podcast editing software, including the AI audio editing tool, is available through a subscription model starting from around $20 per month.
@@MikeRussell Thank goodness. I was trying to find the price but couldn't. I didn't want to loose the free trial lol.
Not a fan of cloud services, for obvious privacy and data mining concerns. But its is a good tool. For now, I don't see that much better tools than DaVinci Resolve 18.5 which works locally on the computer, so it had that advantage. Adobe and similar cloud services are notorious anti consumer and typically they use this "free" thing as a bait and switch. They use beta testers to train their neural networks and than they charge everyone for the service. Not cool. They also engage in woke politics, so another reason to support companies that don't. Obviously, Adobe is attempting to use their vast resources to compete with something like descript not Blackmagic pre se, although Premier Pro is a competitor to Resolve.

Yes can confirm Da Vinci Resolve 18.5 is very good and offline. I also tested free 2GB Wisper GUI software but that is not that good.
@@NickFromNetherlands Yes. Also the voice isolate and transcription editing, auto scene detection and many other AI and automated tools they seamlessly integrated into resolve, really makes it a compelling package.
hey mike, when i record using a yeti nano in adobe podcast, the volume records going up and down and I noticed it started moving the gain up and down automatically, only in the adobe program. Any ideas why this may be happening?

@@MikeRussell Oh my gosh, I know! I see the gain going up, however when i use garageband it does not do this. Do you know anything about the yeti? I don't see an option to turn off autogain.
