would the BEAM 2 + SUB MINI + ERA 100's be sufficient for a 12x14 foot room with 7.5 foot ceiling ? like to watch sports / movies / news channels or would just the ARC ULTRA by itself be just as good ? thx a bunch cheers from Canada

I have the beam 2 and sub mini in our lounge which is about the same size and the sound easily fills the room. I don't have it anywhere near top volume, and the sub mini seriously thumps too. I haven't tried the ultra yet so can't comment on that. If Sonos are reading this though..... 😁

It's a dilemma I'm having at the moment, can't help thinking the arc ultra will be a lot better for movies / Atmos content as the beam 2 is lacking in that dept but the beam 2 and sub mini sounds really nice , don't have any surround speakers yet but I suspect when I do add some it will further improve the beam 2 but yeah , can't deny I'm wondering how much of an improvement the arc ultra would be..

@@andrewguy8599 I ended up going with the ARC ULTRA + Sub Mini + ERA 100's and it sounds awesome , very happy with set up cheers

Wow! Do you think the sub mini makes a difference compared to the arc ultra on its own?

Brilliant video, thanks. Can i hotpspot my phone to it for setup ? I only have wifi on my phone

er, you could, but then the speaker would be linked to the wifi on your phone. If you turn that off then you'd still be able to use the speaker, but none of it's smart features would work.

The Sonos system is on 24/7, can do auto updates, and Atmos/spatial audio uses a lot of bandwidth. Depending on the iPhone, you might have Sonos connection issues if you have Bluetooth active, receive phone call/text/emails, or have apps running in the background.

Why in the hell would a speaker plank need internet connection 24/7??
