I've used them for watching TV and they've been great. The ANC is also good for blocking out noise so you can watch in piece and quiet. 🙂

@MyTechGear thanks that's the answer I was looking for, they were decent to use with my Quest 3 but quite underwhelming imo ( different but the Q35s are brilliant for the quest 3 gaming)

I have the beam 2 and sub mini in our lounge which is about the same size and the sound easily fills the room. I don't have it anywhere near top volume, and the sub mini seriously thumps too. I haven't tried the ultra yet so can't comment on that. If Sonos are reading this though..... 😁

It's glossy blue. Kind of a pale blue. They also sell them in a glossy black and a white too.

@@MyTechGear ok thanks, I imagined it was the glossy blue, maybe it's the lights in the room where you record that made it seem almost like another color... anyway here on amazon Italy there is no glossy blue but only matte. while there is black both glossy and matte and matte white and matte green. very strange these difference by country... also on japan the package is black while on occident is it white.

I haven't tried the Open Buds so can't talk to their audio quality, but they are huge compared to these. So purely from a design perspective I've prefer the Open Earrings.

They have some additional features, such as a low latency mode, but they don't have multipoint.

@@MyTechGear They don't? I had one reviewer mentioning that it had multipoint connection.

@silver33 There is no option to enable multipoint in the mobile app, and there's no mention of it on their website either. If I pair to another device I lose my connection to my previous device. There is no multipoint.

the same room I did the video in. It's the same room I do all my mic tests in so that all tests are equal. Not a big room, around 12m2.

I assume you've tried the volume button on your phone?! 😁 most phoned have a media volume limit option in their settings so you'll want to check if that is turned on too.

It looks like the only option in spatial mode is 'fixed' or 'head tracking' when you select 'Spatial Audio'. You then have to click on the 'spatial audio' text again to get to that hidden menu.! That's so dumb! With every other pair of headphones or earbuds I've tested from soundcore it's always been either clearly in the main sound options next to wind reduction etc, or it's been in the settings menu. There's always room for improvement, as you say, and so having a firmware update option is a must-have. Their latest firmware release (v3.23) just added wear detection switch in the app and also improved noise cancellation, and latency performance in game mode too! You'll have to try it out and let me know if you notice an improvement.

@@MyTechGear Well, I have firmware 4.23 (with case 1.56). There are a few changes in the menu settings, but honestly, I haven't noticed any significant improvement compared to 3.23. Then again, I’m getting older, and my hearing isn’t what it used to be in my 20s.... 😅

Sorry, but it doesn't. You can't use LDAC and multipoint on the WH-1000XM4 at the same time. Plenty of info on the web about it too

Overall I think it's a pretty solid A tier. There are some things it does better than others, but overall they're a great pair of headphones.

HI. The 100's would be good for the rears. The 300's would obviously be better, but the 100's still good enough. I haven't listened to the new Arc Ultra yet but by all early accounts the bass in this is better than the Arc so I don't know that the Mini Sub would make much of a difference. The Sub 4 is quite a bit more expensive. I reckon your best bet is the get the Arc Ultra first. If you're happy with it, stop there. If not, then get the surrounds next. If you're happy with it, stop there. If not, then get the sub 4. If you can, make it to a proper audio shop too so you can listen to them before you buy.

I was thinking of doing a video comparing these against the earfun air pro 4's and the soundcore liberty 4 pro's, if that's something that people would be interested in seeing.

They both sound good, they just have different characteristics. Q45's are more bassy, 720's more neutral sounding. So just depends on your preference really.

All bluetooth headphones, including these, are going to work with any pc that has bluetooth capabilities. How they compare against the 720's is probably an entire video in its own right.

@@MyTechGear yes i know it will work as i already using some but i want to if the audio quality will prevail as with a supported smartphone.

I'll have to pay some of it, depends on the insurance company really as to how much of it. Annoying thing is that I'm still paying it off too!

The A20's have been good for me. They do come with quite a few different ear tips and wings so have you tried different combinations to see if any work better for you?

@@MyTechGear I've tried a few combinations, but no joy. If I try them side by side the A10s are obviously better. Of course, I've had the A10s a while so I'm used to the best way to fit them into my ears, so maybe that's a factor. Looking at the two side by side the A10s do look like they fit deeper into you ears though.

@@MyTechGear The A10s also have more to get hold of so it's a bit easier to get them into you ears.

The A20 is a slimmer profile. That does mean it sits more recessed in your ears which is good if you're a side sleeper. Can make it trickier to get them in and out your ears though.

I’ve recently reviewed the 830’s so I’d recommend checking out that video.

There simply isn’t the Bluetooth bandwidth to do both multipoint and LDAC at the same time so most companies disable it. That’s probably why 1MORE put their multipoint feature under the ‘experimental’ tab in their app. At low quality LDAC might work but I’ve tested it at full 990kbps and using multipoint and it’s unusable with super choppy audio dropping in and out. It’s why most companies don’t do it as they know it’s an issue.

@@MyTechGear when bluetooth headphones support multipoint devices it does not mean that it can play media from both devices simultaneously. It just means that it can flawlessly switch between 2 devices without reconnecting when one of them stops playing. In other words, the radio channel is used only by 1 device at a time when the source device streams media. However, the second device like phone can be still connected at the same time and the mobile app can still work. Therefore, I don't see any technical reasons why other manufacturers don't implement this feature like that. That's how 1More Sonoflow work.

Some headphones have a low latency game mode. I’d also recommend checking the settings on your tv as some tvs have an audio delay feature than can help.

@@MyTechGear Yes, but do these settings not interfere with normal watching without headphones ? And also,.. In the beginning the sound and image there is no problem.. But in time of watching the sound and image go out of sync.. This is also more when you switch on the tv from normal broadcast/cable tv to the internal apps like youtube. The switching between source of content on the tv.. gets the sound and image out of sync.. Then I just head to disconnect,.. and then it was in sync again.. But that was too much for me.. over and over again..

It depends on the tv. Some have an audio delay just for Bluetooth. It sounds like it might be your tv with the issue if it’s fine with some video sources and not others. Have you tried a different pair of headphones to see if you get the same issue?

@@MyTechGear After the sony xm4 I didn't buy other ones.. Because of not knowing why the sony had the problem on the two tv's here.. I thought maybe the anc is making it more difficult to stay in sync.. I googled and read that more people had the lyp-sync problem, .. I remember now. My problem now with the edifier wh950nb is that here it is only sold by a shop that is not so good. So I don't want to try it from them.. So the edifier is out of the quest now. And I don't want to spend too much because, if even the expensive sony's had this problem.. why spend that much money.. not knowing if it will work out.. And my tv that I use has no 3.5 connection. So a wired headphone is not possible.

@eurovisie2010 I’ve used even the cheaper Sony wh 720n to watch tv with and haven’t had any audio sync issues. It might be worth you seeing if you can borrow another pair of headphones from a friend who has no lip sync issues to see if it’s maybe an issue with your tv. Certainly older versions of Bluetooth had audio sync issues.

There was a firmware update that I did before testing on the Pro’s. Maybe that’s the difference.

I don’t think it’s a big difference between the two but the Pro’s are definitely better. Making sure you have a good seal in your ear with the ear tips is crucial to ensure you get the best results. If they don’t fit well then sound will leak in and ANC will be less effective. Hope that all helps.
