You are a champ! There was a point I considered applying mine myself and I just never got the confidence to do it. How did you learn? I get mine done every 3 months.
I moved overseas....however before I moved my stylist taught me everything she was doing to my hair so that I could keep up with it while abroad. I started off texlaxing every 3 months...then 4 months....until I was able to go 6 months at a time. So I now texlax twice a year.
Wow, that's awesome. Kudos to your stylist for teaching you and to you for stretching so far out! How do you manage the new growth because my 4c new growth gets so unruly. Do you do protective styling?
AlexisKimberlyy ....I love twist outs. So that’s basically my protective styling. But Because i am texlaxed....my new growth for me is easy to manage because it’s not too different from my texlaxed hair. Also I don’t use heat very often. I stay away from it as much as possible. Maybe twice a year. I don’t really know my type of hair....if I had to say....I would say type 4 in the nape and maybe type 4 or 3c in the middle and 3b in the front. I also do perm rod sets and flexi rod sets as protective styles.
@@TiffanyWilliams-rj7ul Beautiful. Sounds like you've really got this down! I'm also happy to hear that you are able to do protective styles and still enjoy your hair. Very nice! Thanks for watching and subbing! Definitely feel free to comment/leave questions in the future!!
Hi! I’m natural and have been for six years...I’m planning to do my own relaxer because of cost and convenience. I’m a mom and a hair appointment means a sitter plus the cost of the appointment...
I do my own hair every 4 months and although I wasn't aiming for texlax it never gets bone straight even when following the time chart. It's still curly especially when air dried but I don't want my hair to fall out so I'll leave it as is lol
I did texturing my hair yesterday for my 6 month old hair and is no different from natural hair . But i wont give up my texturing jorney it has started now
I am leaning strongly towards Texlaxing I don’t do heat styles or roller sets I basically keep hands out my hair I just wash my hair and add moisture and put mini twists in i would texlax but do it myself .
Dominique Hodge Low manipulation is a great approach to any style! And you’ll continue to enjoy those mini twists so long as you time your relaxer well. I do suggest a strand test if you plan to do it yourself. Good luck hun and thanks for watching!! ❤️❤️
Great video! This curious mind wants to know..... are you wearing a protective style in the video? Just wondering if your blowout is your texlaxed hair or weave etc. Would love to see an updated video of your haor journey with pics. :) There arent too many texlax divas here on You Tube. Glad you're here!
Thanks, love! Nahhhh this ain't all me lol. The front of my hair is out but most of this hair I sewed onto a cap. Next week's video will be me styling just my texlaxed hair, so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, check out my updated relaxed hair journey video from a few weeks ago detailing where my hair has been. Thanks for watching!!
Anointiyae Beasley Girl, I totally feel you. I remember back in college I couldn’t find a single person I could trust to do my hair. I’d always wait to return from school to get my hair done. Good luck, love! Please be careful and perhaps consider at least consulting with a professional and doing a strand test. Let us know your results!! ❤️
I texlax at home. Every 6 months.

Hi please do a video on how you do texlax retouches- without overlapping relaxers
Coming up boo! Just so you know, I don't do the relaxers myself, but I will go through a step-by-step on my process! Thanks for watching
Thinking of texturizing soon. This video was super helpful! Thank you!
That's amazing! I'm so happy this was helpful. There are so many perks to texlaxed hair but you should always be informed. Good luck on your journey!
Bahati are you relaxed?

Texlaxing my hair because it’s inexpensive and seem ‘teachable’ for me to learn 🙂🙂
Try the jumbo rollers, you will be amazed, you will get syr8ight hair, use a foam, when dry, then wrap your hair boo.,straight hair, boom
