I'm glad you did a video on this topic and it shows that you pay attention to your comment section. It definitely was one thing I noticed as well from the last video. I always feel so bad for people who don't think they have the right to speak up. When you're paying for a service you should get what you asked for. You made excellent points and gave great advice!!
Great video. i decided not to self relax after seeing your previous video. I found a good stylist this yr after ending my transition to natural. I didnt like the way she comb thru my hair with a small tooth comb to section it for relaxer but I knew I needed a big cut so i didnt say anthing. Now 5 months later and planning to go 6 months, that same thought of her combing thru my hair came back so I didnt want to return. Now with this info i will return with power over my hair and ask her to use a large tooth comb as well as take mine incase she doesnt have one. LOL. Thanks for sharing and helping us get empowered with or hair growth.
"professionals" ruined my hair for 10 years I had miserable hair.... Now that I've learned everything, Im doing everything myself , I never had so great results I LOVE MY HAIR NOW, and I used to HATE It, I will never go back to a hair salon
My beautician still rubs my hair with a towel to dry it..OMG I thought most be people know to just pat the hair by NOW! And very stingy with putting conditioners in my hair..
I'm worried about getting my hair texlax when it grows back because no hairdresser cares about hair as far as I'm concerned it's all about making them rich while I leave the salon not satisfied, my last straw was when I went to get me a sew in God knows I was upset and I said to myself never again. I was also planning to do my own texlaxing until I watched your previous video, well I don't know what to do now. I wonder if wetting my hair can tell me where the new growth stops when applying the relaxer so I don't get relaxer on the already processed hair?❤️❤️
I took my own affrim relaxer products to the hairdresser ,I asked her not to use ANYTHING else in my hair. While she was shampooing my hair I smelled a strong chemical I didn't say anything because I already told her not to use anything else in my hair. What I found a little disturbing is that she put this chemical in a affirm condition bottle identical to mine so maybe I didn't notice. When I got home took my products from the bag I noticed my condition bottle have a little bit of paint on the side so I opened the bottle only to find the same smell chemical in the bottle. I immediately called her she said she made a mistake and gave me the wrong bottle. That was three weeks ago so I still have her mixture of what I don't know. My thing is if I should go back to her because this is the third time I asked her not to use any other products in my hair and she didn't listen.
Was this a Dominican salon by any chance? They’re notorious for adding relaxers and other strange concoctions to their conditioners and slipping it in your hair if THEY feel like you have to much texture. It’s all so disturbing.

Valuable content!! I've always had trouble speaking up in the salon and have had several negative experiences.

How do I achieve this hairstyle you have in this video?
Also remember that hairstylists are different from hairdressers👍🏼
One of the issues I've had with salons was their combs. Their combs were so cheap, and would snag at my hair. So I bring my own combs.
O-M-G you better speak those facts!!! I'm going to start bringing in my Sageman widetooth comb..@Kathy J
@@traceylennon1204 Make sure you don't leave that comb at the salon, or else you will never see it again.
I can't seem to find a trusting hairdresser the tragedy
