How did you get to this video before it was public?
@@jonah.mcminn I typed in a bunch of random letters in the URL thingy and this video popped up!
@@cbenfey no way. You have so many comments on this channel. There is no way that’s how that happened. Haha
Yeah what the heck dude?! You even snuck into the THUMBNAIL?! something fishy is going on here...
@@JesseDriftwood wait I am stupid. Wow. I can’t believe, welp. I didn’t even realise. 🤦🏻♂️
Your vids are like those movies you have to watch multiple times to make sure you didn't miss anything. The attention to detail is astounding 🤘
Let’s make a video together someday.
@@JesseDriftwood waiting for it
Right?! Since Jesse made that video explaining about the other video with the directors chair/arm, I know to watch each intro a couple of times to try spot all the details
You sold me on that sling bag!!!!! Genius design!! Thanks for the always entertaining vids my dude!
Thanks dude! Did I also sell you on the monitors?!
I don't know why but "CLAM SHELL, it opens like a CLAM SHELL, CLAM SHELL was the word I was looking for" had me dying. 💀💀💀
I said something about it being a warship and then advised people to “say no to war” 🤦♂️
😂
Just got one and I full vouch for this everyday bag, the build quality I just the best
Edit: Also I just spent the day skiing with every thing you used to film (C70, Sigma 20, Canon R) in this bag. It worked!
I am very jealous that you're still skiing. Jesse got a snowboard and didn't use it once. I got 1/2 day. 😩
It hurts my heart.
Best vid of the PM bag ever.
So glad you came over from IG and keep giving us this awesome YT content. Great work Jesse!
Jesse, It's such a pleasure to watch your vids with all of your little bits here and there☺️ Keep going!
Love how much fun you have with this! Always a good time clicking on a JesseDriftwood video.
its been so many years I am following jesse and still his each video is filled those visual effects which are so damn time consuming.. kudos to you man.. love from India
The disappearing pole, with the slide whistle, was priceless 😂
😜
Voiceover Jesse crushed this one almost as much as real Jesse did.
Also the friendship through line was fantastic.
There are so many bags in that intro! Peter's bag looks awesome! It's all the small things that really makes this bag shine.
200k 💪
Congrats man!
Congrats on the 200k buddy 😁👊🏼
thanks!
Love the transitions so rad!
Jesse's Unboxing videos are my favorite! Congrats on 200K man!!
After watched so much videos about this bag, this one sold me on that backpack. Great work Jesse!!
Backed it because of this vid! Bags look slick. Amazing demo, Mr D Dub.
I love your editing style it made this video so entertaining
i watched so many other reviews of these bags and decided to get just the sling. however after watched this video i've changed my mine. i'm getting both now. jesse, you do a great job showing how good this bag is. ^^
Jesse if we ever meet I'm buying you a beer for that intro... That was one of the greatest 20 seconds ive ever seen 😂
blows my mind how that first shot came out!!!! insane dude!
The reason some company make the bottom of the bag with some angle is it makes the bag fit your body better. Most of other cheap bags do not stand out because the materials are not durable enough to stand though.
congrats on 200k!
This looks like a great bag! Very excited to try the sling bag on le bicyclette!
The VO overdubs tho 🤣
Great video again Jesse!
That sling looks very good! I’ve been thinking about the peak sling as I love their everyday backpack. But the quick close nipple seems like soooo good! I do a lot of street photographing when I bike around the city so it’s a bit annoying to zip up every time I stop for a cool shot. One thing I’m missing from Pete’s new backpack tho is side access to the camera. If it had that, based on three videos I just watched, I might switch cos man those cubes look handy! But for my daily backpacking needs the Peak everyday 21l is still the one that does it best.
Peter is loving you for such an awesome review! Also, loved watching you receive your new Cannon lens…that you didn’t know yours was destroyed on the drone! Great friendships! ~Cara 😊
Always love watching your vids Jesse, so creative and fun. When your voice transformed from voice over guy at the beginning - nice!
Also this bag is cool, its reminded me the first time I saw a Lowepro Viewpoint 250 (of which I bought 2). Modular and adjustable packing systems should be compulsory.
Shame we can't get on the kickstarter in the UK
You’re literally the best. Keep doing you brother and don’t stress over one upping yourself.
I’d love the bungee cord feature on the backpack over the top access too: it would come in handy
Loved your review Jesse! So good lol
Now I want camera cube shelves and store gear in those on the shelf without having to take it out of the cube and switch out what I need on a given day. Awesome video
I love the sarcastic audio corrections
Jesse, I came across on your channel when was looking for information about Onewheel Pint, which is actually I am about to get today lol. Thank you for the review btw! The way you make your content is insanely awesome! You are gifting me inspiration to make better work on myself and my channel. Thank You for that!

Nice seeing you guys together in one video.
Dude I would watch you unbox anything if it went like this video did... lol
HAHA. I chuckled at the title...😁 Cant wait to watch this one! 💯✔️
Amazing job as usual! Now I want one of these bags lol!
That into was sooooo goooooooooddddd!
You are one of the best youtuber and videographer ever.
First off, congrats on 200k. Second, I want to hate these bags but they legit just seem amazing. Might have to finally pony up for the large one.
Also, good to hear you on Rally Caps!
Thanks dude! I really only used the original PM for trips when I needed everything to fit on my back. This new backpack is now the daily carry. Perfect size for me.

Loved seeing how you got the overhead shot at 1:21
*This intro is everything.*
Loved the video just subscribed today! Which bag would you recommend Pete's bag or the moment rugged sling bag?
“Just in case I want to... Putt it up.” 😂😂😂
the edit at 1:50 is so clean!
you are the best at talking head.
i LOVE HIS CAMERA he used as an example
love it and love your vids chap
omg hahaha! best intro. ya you won the bag video challenge
Jesse you're my favourite
The thing about loving magnets.. I felt that.
Need this bag already
Watched that intro like a million times

Cool! Nice video. ✌️

very keen to the sling bag
The amount of times you had the throw that bag in the air hahaha 🤣
And I still wasn’t super happy with my shots afterwards lol!

i wish some day have the gear to have the necessity to buy one of this bags
This has the best title 😂
Its like all the camera/video/editing/photo youtuber community lives in Canada....🤔. Always interesting flow videos Jesse 👍
Does a DJI RS2 fit reasonably well in the bag with the cubes removed?
"wonder where else it'll fit" I've got a few ideas 😂
I’m hoping his backpack drops from the air for me one of these days haha
I feel the same way
The bungie feature may have just sold me. I do photo/video during church services and the zipper/velcro is LOUD.
Did you replace the dead cats on your d4 duo mic? It looks like you might have. I have been having a problem with it peaking too easily with any wind. If you did can you please share what you replaced them with?
No I haven’t but my understanding is they are working on some upgraded ones to fix this issue. I reached out to them about this issue as well when the mic came out.
finagle; i knew there was a word for that
You guys are dope
Please make an entire video where you dub your voice start to finish.
Sick intro
Make your bag stand!
So simple but rarely manufacturers did it right.
Is it safe to have the zipper outside of the bag straps? Someone could just open your bag and everything will come spilling out onto the floor
"I like to travel with cinema cameras because I'm an idiot." I died laughing!!
Still my fave Dope Squadder :-)
*VERTICLY* 😂
I click every JDrw video to at least watch the intro. He’s so good at intros. But let’s be honest. I usually stay for the whole thang. ✌️
Is it more comfortable then the first one!? First one killed the shoulders, even with the waste strap.
I never had comfort issues with the first one personally. Given that this bag is so much smaller it will also weigh significantly less when packed full so I’d imagine it will be more comfortable. YMMV
It's a nice bag but it falls short in some important areas in my opinion. It's almost 2.5kg with the cubes inserted which is a bit on the heavy side for a 25l everyday backpack. To expand the loft from it's original position/size there should be some sort of function to pull it out and down, so that you don't have to dig it out from the side of the ladder. You mention that it goes quick to get hold of the camera from the top of the bag if you quickly take the bag off completely. First of all, you have to take it off completely, secondly, you have a desk at waist height which makes it a lot easier. In real world use you would often have to take the whole backpack off your back and put it down on the floor or ground. They should have a quick side access I think. They can still have the pockets on the sides for a bottle or a smaller tripod and have quick side access for those who want (quite many I imagine) to use that. Yes, I understand that it's impossible to create a bag that suits everyone, but imo these simple functions can be added without changing or removing current ones. You talk about flipping the bottom cube so that the opening faces up and if you remove the ladder completely you can reach the bottom from there, yeah I guess you can, but a second later you say that you can put clothing and/or sandwich or similar there on top of that. Doesn't that kind of block the access from there? It's a nice review overall, so credit where it's due. However I've seen quite many reviews so far with nothing but praise as if it was the best thing since sliced bread, but let's be honest here, it isn't. I'm still genuinely thinking about buying this once it comes out as it looks great in general. There's room for improvement though, and I'm sure there will be as this probably aint the final product. Just wish reviews could be more balanced and maybe slightly with less PM specs on. Looking forward to seeing the final product.
Hey!
I appreciate your thoughts and completely get where you are coming from. A few things to remember is that this was *not* a review! This was a paid advertisement (I say this twice in the video) where I'm highlighting the things I like about it, not giving you a full tried and tested review. BUT I would love to talk about some of these things!
As for the weight this isn't a concern of mine since the bag is super comfortable on my back. Some bags just fit certain size backs better than others and this one is great for me. I was using the Brevite Jumper for a while as an everyday carry, and that bag is super light and has side access, but it never was comfortable on my back. The straps felt too wide for me and it didn't have a chest compression so it always felt like it pulled off of my shoulders. Further more the side access was sloppy since the dividers in that bag only attached on two sides and would slide around constantly, and stick to the door you needed to open. So lets talk about side access!
Side access is an interesting point since in the past I've been a fan, but it all depends on implementation and style of bag. For this bag I don't care about side access since the cubes setup would mostly make it useless. On the original PM bag there was sideacess but I didn't like it since the camera dividers would velcro to the door, and every time you open it you would have to tear open those dividers. I have a few bags with side access and only one of them I actually like the side access implementation in terms of shooting out of, however that bag pretty well fell apart and is no longer functional sadly. The peak design bag side access is decent but I wasn't a fan of shooting out of that bag in general, and found that packing it wasn't nearly as intuitive as this bag is. So you are right, there is no perfect bag and the same applies with this new PM bag.
As for top access I actually don't typically use this for run and gun shooting out of per se. I have videos on my channel where you can see me pull an entire cinema camera out of the top access of another bag while on a plane in order to get a shot out the window. This is more so the use case, you just want decently quick access to the camera *even though* its decently packed away. These days when I'm actually out and about shooting I always use a peak design capture clip on the strap (as seen in this video) which I've just found is far more practical for me than any side access bag I've ever used.
As for the loft expansion and grabbing from around the side, that was mostly be being dumb. I realized its so much easier to do by pressing your hand inside the top of the left to expand.
Next up is based on someones question in a comment I've found a really cool way to pack this bag that I'm going to try and make a quick and film to show on either twitter or instagram. Basically you expand the loft, and place a cube facing up at the bottom of that expanded loft. I'll need to figure out a way to place some type of soft cover on top of it so that I can have a camera on top, and 3 lens access beneath that, and then in the bottom cube accessed through the back I can either place gear that is less needed, or that extra sweater/sandwhich.
Sorry for this super long message haha hope it helps!
But remember this (and most of what you have seen) are paid reviews! But I fully stand behind the fact that after using SO MANY different bags, this one fits my uses case better than anything else I've owned up until this point. Hopefully you can test one out at some point and figure out if it works for you or not!
Have a great weekend :)
(excuse my many typos that I'm sure are in here, I'm very tired right now lol)
@@JesseDriftwood Cheers, appreciate your reply as well as your input, you also make many good points to be fair and it's nice to hear a different perspective too :) Yeah camera bags are almost the most difficult thing about photography lol. Not only are bags very individual, but also one bag is god for one environment and not for another, as well as for some occasions one is either too small or too big haha. I think I had the same Brevite one, if its the one with a dark leather logo and other brown details on black. I think it was Calle Jumper too. Didn't really like it either, the side access on it wasn't very good at all like you said.
Please do make a video on this, I like the idea of that as it could be a good solution to see/try out. Was just gonna ask about the PD Capture Clip and if it works on these straps or not depending on the width of them. I'll rewatch the video as I must of missed it. Side access or not, it's essential for me being able to use the PD CC. Side access or not, having the camera attached to your strap is probably the best way to have quick access to your camera most of the time.
Haha, same to you, enjoy your weekend :) Cheers once again.
Jesse what do you think about sony zv 1? Its like a point and shoot good for vlogging
I think its a sweet little camera! I haven' used it personally but I have friends who love theirs!
I backed this bag and pledged. Does the peak desigb capture clip fit on this bag's strap?
Yup! You can see me attaching one in this video...
I absolutely love Peter and his content , but damn Nomad. 400$ ? I’ll stick to my regular 30$ bag 😁
Hey if your $30 bag works than great! Don't upgrade! But good bags have always been expensive. My first real camera bag from ThinkTank cost me around 400 almost 10 years ago and I'm still using it today, all of my cheap bags have fallen apart sadly.

How did you do the intro
I just wish it had side access
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 i like
I'm sold.. now, where to get these?

Wait…so the PD capture clip works with this bag? Does it go over the strap or through something on the strap?
I just put mine right on the strap! It was a bit tight but held on fine 🤙

I have no idea who Peter is and wish I could get th I s bag without some dudes name on it, any suggestions on how to get this man's name off the bag?
THe pole disapaearing at 1:51
Please show us the bts of that intro
It was actually pretty simple! I planned to shoot this on a clear blue sunny day, but ended up having overcast so I just went with it. I set up my camera shooting either 60 or 120fps on a long lens and just got a bunch of shots throwing bags into the air, and trying to get some shots where the inside products would fly out of the box while I threw them. In post I used a luma key to erase all of the white sky, and then added the different bay shots over a new blue sky template (from storyblocks I believe). From there I just had to change the timing and speed ramping and direction of each shot to end up where I wanted them. And there you have it!
you can see how oc peter is... almost every damn inch has a purpose and organize...lol and i like it
I still think no side access is such a bummer. Otherwise this bag would be perfect for me
Wow everybody in the team has that stuff today! :) He forget to send one to me :/ Damn
Mans making his own music now?
lol I think this is the third or fourth video doing this!
@@JesseDriftwood love it!!!
After having watched 4 videos about this bag I am just now asking myself: if you use the enhanced loft, does a cube fit in it?
Like that when you access from the top you'd have your normal loft + a cube in it
Oh that’s an interesting question! I’ll have to try that out!
@@JesseDriftwood Are any results in?
@@welfiblablabla haven’t been back to the studio yet! Heading there soon though so I’ll keep you posted!

@@welfiblablabla It works and it might be amazing. I want to see if I can ad some type of lid so that I can put some lenses in that cube, and then my camera on top of it in the loft. But seriously this was a fantastic suggestion!
