How about Pete’s bag?
Pete’s bag is one of the best built bags I’ve ever used. It’s amazing. But I found when I would fill it with all my gear and clothes (I did this for multiple international trips) it just got too heavy. I generally like putting as much weight into a rolling carry on as possible for airline travel. And since you can’t have two overhead bags I need one roller bag and one bag small enough to slide under the seat. The only reason I left it out of this video is because I lent it to someone and can’t remember who lol. It’s just not at the studio anymore 🤷♂️.
JesseDriftwood you mind if I borrow one of your RF lenses? 😅
That’s not an everyday bag. Probably too big to carry for street photography or everyday carry.
@@JesseDriftwood Can you lend me a nice bag too? :)
@@JesseDriftwood wtf u don't know the person you lent him a 700 dollar bag are kidding .
Great review. I purchased the 6l Moment sling in June 2022. it is still easily my goto bag. For Hockey, I carry my Fujifilm X-T10 and 50-140mm with batteries and plenty of room. For most days shooting, I have a 35mm film SLR and my X-E1/27mm or X100V with batteries/film and extra room. It is a well built and easy to carry/use bag for sure.
In your opinion would the 6L be large enough for a Lumix S5 with 28-70 Sigma (attached) and a 70-200?
@@AverageatMostThings I sometimes pack a Fuji X-T3 and 50-140mm (in the center pocket) and a spare pocket for another lens.
May work with the lens detached from the body.
This looks like a nice little bag! BUT, if you want some extra space but in a small, good looking bag, the Wandrd DUO is perfect. Fits a Camera, 2-3 extra lenses, 16inch MacBook, IPad Pro, chargers and cables, 2 harddrives and has quite a bit of extra space for other things. An extra hoodie maybe? That’s what I carry. Absolutely perfect!!
My friend Willie has been raving about this bag lately. Seems cool!
JesseDriftwood Definitely a good bag!
Best thing I've seen this week --> the ending handshake modification at 11:10. Priceless.
"Here's a lens, father!".. Yep, that killed me, lol.
8lacKy classic Jesse!
I like the instinct pro camera sling 6l, very thoughtful organisations for a photographer with all the pockets.
I don’t even need a new bag. But gotta watch the new J Driftwood vid. Take my lime and comment for *THE ALGORITHM* 😱
Aye thanks dude! Appreciate ya!
JesseDriftwood Alllll good ✌️
JesseDriftwood also that was meant to say ‘like’ and not ‘lime’ but I think it works so I’m leaving it in. Take my lime 🍋 ha!
That Ferris wheel shot is incredible, I also just wanted to say thanks man. You really inspired me heavily along with Peter McKinnon and while I already own a mavic air because I’ve had an interest in film and photography for a long time I’ve always just shot on my phone. I just bought a used canon EOS 80D with the kit lens and I love it so far! Your videos are so informative and inspiring, not to mention the extremely high quality cinematography. You deserve so many more subs man keep killing it!
dude that chase reeves reference is gold! "Magnets HOW DO THEY WOORK?!"
they LONG for each other ahahaha
The bag looks dope (just as your transitions btw).
And I was pretty surprised that it comes at $129 RRP for the bigger one - that's not a bank breaker!
However, with all that stuff in - the R, the glass, the other goodies - how is it for your back?
Traditional backpacks usually reduce the back tension by adding chest and waist straps, but this one is a single sling.
That’s a good question! Riding around town it’s no issue, and I used to shoot weddings with the PD messenger loaded with easily double this gear in it, and ya it’s not great after a lot of hours.
I wouldn’t necessarily use a sling for a long hike or an 8+ hour day, but the EOS R kit for the afternoon is no problem at all.
@@JesseDriftwood Comparison on the two would be great Jesse!
@@bobooo168 haha yea i was about to say that the PD 6l sling looks similar to this
Maybe I missed a link but did you review or can you review the 6L version? I use a Micro FourThirds setup and think the 6L would be absolutely perfect!!!!
That Ferris wheel shot at 1:21...thought you were going to transition into the white structural pillar. It's like I have Jesse vision now.
Haha sometimes I can tell when people Will expect me to do one so I purposely don’t lol
@@JesseDriftwood tricks on tricks on tricks
Ah dude, what a great video. Easily the funniest product review I’ve seen... I’m super excited to get my hands on one of these for my Fuji setup - I love sling packs since downsizing to a mirrorless from a DSLR.
The worst thing about this bag, is that it very reasonably priced... this might be the first camera bag that I buy... instead of all my hand me down bags...
Aaron Alden hahaha amazing
Catching a Jesse Driftwood video in the first three minutes. This is the best day of my life.
The Shout out to Chase Reeves. 🤣 he really helped me to figure out which bag to get for the Peak Design Everyday vs PRVKE WANDRD
Which one did you go for? Those are two of the best camera backpacks IMO. Everyone I know who bought one loves it.
@@JesseDriftwood I ended up going with the Peak Design V1 30L and have been absolutely loving it so far.
I love how even if he forgets to include something in the video, he puts in the incredible effort and simple yet smooth editing of the transition.
- if that makes any sense... lol 😂
😂😂
Thank you. Can the bag be worn lower (hip area) as a sling bag?
Seeing you and Chase together in the same video makes me happy!
"It's a good buckle. I like the buckle." - Jesse Driftwood 2020.
wait, did i just get baited into watching an ad? great work, smooth transitions, informative and a nice product. no problem.
I was specifically trying to get you Jared.
my fave is the brevitè jumper for daily filming :) looks super interesting but i just hate sling bags
I wanted to love that bag (I still have and use mine but forgot it at home while filming) but the camera deciders always slide around inside making my gear end up in a pile. It needs Velcro on three sides not just two.
'try and imagine a different focal length. you can't' hahahahaha love that shit man hahahah
Right after I said that Christoph said “800” 😂
I found my perfect backpack after getting the Peak Design Travel line.
This should be obvious but how can I tell if it is setup for right handed or left-handed shooter? I thought I read it ships for right-handed so goes on left shoulder?
Looks like the Instinct Pro camera sling bag, which has more detailed organisations and better materials.
I think I found my perfect-ish EDC camera bag - the Compagnon Element Sling 15. I think I saw it somewhere in this video. Super comfortable for a sling bag with great build quality and a very well thought out layout.
Where can I buy that hat though?
Love that shot at 1:21 on the Ferris wheel pulling back
Same! And that’s handheld on my iPhone with no stabilization or colour correction 🤯
The thing behind every story is: don't speak to jerks. Anyway great video as usual! And how cool is it that you and Chase are friends, I love his channel TOO!
Haha yes! He’s the greatest.
Reckon I could fit an EOS R + vertical grip + kit lens attached into the 10 L sling?
Not sure about the grip unfortunately.
Do you know if the 6L bag would hold a smaller aps-c mirrorless camera with lens attached standing up or would it have to lay down?
Ya depending on the lens you’d be fine! A friend of mine has the 6L now and could get the a7iii and tamron 17-28 standing up or at least it was very close. So if it’s smaller than that setup you’re golden.
@@JesseDriftwood/videos Thanks!
The rugged sling bags sorta reminds me of HUGE fanny packs 😂 Making fanny packs great again
I'm gonna show myself out
Haha I never stopped loving fanny packs! Moment has their small fanny packs too which are actually sick.
I had no idea a video about a camera bag could be so enjoyable HA
Hi Jesse
How is this bag compared to the Peak Design sling?
I used to own the original Peak design sling, and while I did like it the zipper tore off from the bag after a few months, so I exchanged it for the messenger. It also had the same tripod straps that didn’t undo. I have used the v2 though,
I think finding a really great camera bag is probably the hardest thing to find as a photographer / videographer haha
Kutrovski agree with you, I’ve been through more than 20 and still feel I need another one lol
Is the strap only compatible with one shoulder? I used to love sling bags but ended up changing to a backpack since extended periods with the weight only over one shoulder made it hurt over long hikes. But if the straps can be swapped back and forth over either shoulder, you could stagger the pressure and switch shoulders every now and then.
It can be swapped to use on both sides, fully reversible!
I guess I'm at Stage 2 of the "Jesse Driftwood Timeline" because I currently have that same INCASE bag and I love it. Can't wait for Stage 3.
Most people I know who had it loved it! Now my friend Kevin uses it and likes it!
Yessss with the crazy transitions
How does it compare to the peak design shoulder bags? + Insane skills with the onewheel wow!
I used the original PD sling and liked it, but the tripod straps didn’t open and my zipper tore off from the bag after a few months (probably my fault!) and so I swapped to the messenger after.
i hope i can put my business papers in one of them slots, cause business papers... you know.
Is it bigger than 11 inch
Yeah it's probably is lol
If you know you know
@chasereeves
How does this compare to the peak design slings?
Very similar, but I prefer that the straps on the bottom have clips so it’s easier to attach a tripod. But I only had the first version on the PD sling.
@@JesseDriftwood ooo ok thanks!
See's Jesse video. Clicks Jesse video, likes Jesse video
Cool bag! I wonder if it can fit a 12.9" iPad pro
It can’t. Kind of a bummer, It’s actually making me consider switching to the 11”.
And btw at the moment I just got a wandrd prvke 31l with the camera accessories and I love it! It's a big bag for walking around town shooting but I feel like it's near perfect for one bag travel and/or some hikes for example.
I have a few friends who got one and LOVE it. In fact I think the only reason I never got one is because I had a few close friends with it.
@@JesseDriftwood Would have thought you'd have seen the bag and wanted one too haha! But yeah so far I think I found my dream backpack. I also have a millican smith the roll (watched Chase's video like ten times before buying it). It's a near perfect one bag travel but just doesn't cut it when it comes to photography. Maybe with a cube but eh I don't know.
I have purchased so many bags. So expensive. Then I found my perfect bag for a 100 bucks. These look a little cooler. I’m definitely a bag geek
Would the crane m2 and m50 fit inside the sling bag?
Oh good question! My crane and 6L bag are currently lent out but my gut says it would fit.
Yessss another Jesse Driftwood video! Ya know this video tells me one thing....I need more money😂😂
Why you didn't mention the orange bag that you use for a long time?
Hey Jesse! Do you know if the 6L version of this would fit nicely where the PM camera cube fits in the PM backpack?
Why does that Ferris wheel shot look so damn good 😭
haha I know! Shot on my iPhone, no colour grade, no stabilization. Kind of got lucky I guess.
I need some help. There is a effect that is done at 2:33 and then he camera open up back wide what is the effect call
Jessie lookin like the bowler hat guy 😂
Does it fit the eos R with battery grip?
Not sure! I don’t have a grip. My guess is that it *could* but not comfortably. So no .
JesseDriftwood thanks so much!
But does it fit two ihomepods?
I’m so sad that you said ihomepod but yes it does exactly fit two homepods thank you.
Nice video, man! 👍 Does the 6L bag fit a 11in iPad Pro?
I would like to see a comparison vid vs Chrome Niko Camera Sling 2.0!
I’ve never used their sling actually!
any other color options?
Hey Jesse! I was curious, any idea if a 6L will fit a 5D MK 3 with a 24-105 attached? Thanks!
If the camera was sideways I’m mostly sure it would.
I love the brevite jumper, it’s the perfect backpack for me! 🙌🏼
It’s a good bag! I want them to make a “pro” version of it. Just a bit bigger and higher quality materials and better camera dividers and it would be perfect!
Hello Jesse! I saw in one of your video you usually attach your camera at the strap of your backpack . How do you do that?
It’s called the Peak Design capture clip. There’s a link in the description, best purchase IMO.
I love Chase's channel. Bags are life
Nice bag but I really think nothing compares to the peak design 10l v1, the v2 not so much. That expandable front along with a dedicated capture clip spot is amazing.
Do you know a good camera bag with load lifters? I'd be really interested😊 (maybe cheaper than the PM one)
Haha the first one that came to mind was the PM bag. I’d check other hiking type bags from F-stop or something.
JesseDriftwood ok, thanks!🙌🏼
jesse driftwoods drifting in a wood
I see the appeal but I feel for me it isn’t versatile enough. Yep it will help for a day but if going travelling you’d have to take another bag to carry on the plane and have this in your luggage to use on a day basis, id rather one bag fits all
Hi Jesse and thank you for the video. I’m interested in buying but I want to save all the weight possibile. My setup is a Canon EOS R + RF 15-35 + RF 70-200, may you tell me if the 6LT is able to store all of that easily or if you think I should go for the 10L instead? Thank you in advance
In the 6L when the 70-200 is on the side, it’s a tight squeeze to close. It fits comfortably in the middle but then you’d likely have to detach the 15-35 from the body to comfortably fit all three items
JesseDriftwood JesseDriftwood What a pity. I was hoping for a truly essential setup with the 15-35 attached to the R and the 70-200 on the side. Any chance to have a good fit by laying down the 70-200 instead of positioning it vertically?
I have my first ever ever camera backpack on its way to my home today, I wish I had saw this video before I ordered!
does the 10L version fit a 12.9” iPad Pro? Thanks
I wonder how this stacks up vs the peak designs everyday slingv2. I own it. But use the eos r with the BG and find it's not wide enough. Hard to get my camera in and out and hard to zip shut.
I haven’t used the v2. I owned the original and quite liked it but the zipper tore off the bag, probably from over filming too many times. It also had the non detachable tripod straps that I hated.
JesseDriftwood I think you would like the V2 then. You don’t use the BG so it would be awesome for you. Also if the zipper tore off then Peak would replace it id bet.
vic placido oh yeah I love peak and they definitely would have replaced it. I brought it back to the store where I bought it and they swapped it over the counter no questions asked, but I decided to upgrade to the messenger for more space at that point.
JesseDriftwood I feel ya.
Oh how I wish Chase would move back to the west coast, especially the NW. However, I can see he is enjoying the sun in the south. But Texas? I went with a wandrd, 21L PRVKE bag. I am considering the new ROAM sling by them. However, most slings can fit my 11 inch iPad Pro. However, I find that bag way bigger than what I need, maybe the 6L.
However, I want something light, and a sling, that can carry my kit camera. I am not trying to be a photographer, just someone who loves to take tons of pictures. The camera bag it comes with is just too big for me.
I pretty recently got a new sling bag sent out from PGYTech (I can’t quite remember what it’s called, but it holds my 13” MacBook) and so far it’s been pretty great! Worth checking out anyway.
My dude Chase Reeves!! Bravo guys 👏👏👏
Should the title say exist... or is it meant to say exis... because it *does* exist? Because either there's a typo or I'd write "exi..." so no one gets confused🙃
Hey Jesse, random question... You've mentioned that you filmed weddings before and I was intrigued about whether this was something you were able to do yourself? Or do you need a small team (pair or trio) to get a good quality end product?? Cheers man!
Oh ya it’s definitely possible! For the most part we shot as a team of two but we’ve done a few solo, you just change how you shoot and how you prep before the wedding. It’s helpful to work our timelines with the couple/planner in advanced so you can capture their prep separately.
JesseDriftwood ah cool! I was trying to imagine the process myself and thought maybe it might be nice having different shots of the same moment sometimes. For example shooting both guest reactions as well as the couple saying their vows. In that case a second person would be super useful I guess! Thanks for the reply Jesse!
😂 it puts lotion on itself!!! Hahaha
"Oh! this looks nice!" Every after bump i've been too.. haha
Wondering what determines if I’m being a jerk... either way I’m interested in chatting about the bag. Ask me a question about it.
Kyle you haven’t visited Hamilton in a long time there for you are an interested jerk and I miss you.
The hat at the start got me
Can a Onewheel charger and camera fit in here?
Yeah I’d think so. Maybe not the XR supercharger but all the others should be fine.
I've been watching a bunch of vids, came down to the Peak Design one and this one. PD has that cool versatile strap this one doesn't have BUT you at 4.22 showed me different. I'm buying this one. TY
🎶 All I want is the perfect camera bag
damn I really want this!!!!! I used to own a 20L peak design bag but this might be the move.. still deciding do I want a 10L or just a 6L hmm decisions decisions.
What's that crazy bag at the 2:28 mark?
That bag is way too small for my regular day to day gear. I guess I'm gonna have to wait for the super dorky video 😂
Does the bag have excess strap catchers? Dangling excess straps are cumbersome 😊
Are these Peak Designs'?
How do I buy this bag and hide it from my husband? You should've heard him when my PM little bag arrived. P.S. how tall are you? I wonder if the 10ltr bag would be really bulky on me, I'm 5ft.
Hahaha amazing. I’m about 5’11” but the 10L doesn’t feel too big, I think unless you are a child it would be fine.
Love your work Jesse!! Such an awesome style of film making 😀
Diapers, bananas, and camera gear? Sounds like the perfect bag
Make a video about you designing and making your own ideal bag...?
Here’s the video. “If the Brevite jumper was 20% bigger and made of better materiel all around, it’s that one” lol.
Why am I awake right now? I don’t know but glad I am able to point out first that you said “joost” at around 34 seconds. I shouldn’t have drank a Mountain Dew at 9pm I’m still awake but great videooooo!
It looks like a clone of the peak design 10 liter sling version 1
“but that’s another story”
give us the story!
This year i finally bought my very first camera bag 😍 hope everyone find their dream bag too 🔥❤️
Nice! What did you grab?
JesseDriftwood first it´s damn crazy that you reply to my comment 😂 it means a lot for me 🙏🏼❤️ I have Rollei Fotoliner Backpack L. Its a bigger one but I can put inside almost everything I want for trip like some snack, clothes. On the side I can have there gimbal, in the front is very cool place for tripod. Yeah I am reaĺy happy with this bag 🔥
Any particular reason you like this better than the Brevite Jumper?
It’s easier to shoot out of on the go. My main issue with the jumper is that the camera deciders are only Velcro on two sides and slide around all over the place. Anytime I put stuff in there it would all be in a pile by the time I got to where I was going. Hoping they out out a “pro” version sometime. A bit bigger and better materials.
r the black flies out already?? but its so cold...
They came out that day! They weren’t biting yet but swarming my head and camera.
Thanks so much for introducing me to Chase! He's hilarious! #notified
Love the video! Very well made as always😍🔥
For me it wouldn't be the right bag as I have a corset due to my scoliosis so I need a bag that distributes the weight the most so I can carry it comfortably. But if it fits for your life, great!🤟🏼
Greetings from Peru dude. Thanks for everything you put out 👏🏾👏🏾love your work
Just ordered mine!!!!
Here's a lens father 🤣🤣🤣🤣
