    Really good information. I always thought I was a healthy eater but after watching your videos, I further cut back on sugar, eat a lot more fiber rich foods and take a probiotic. After a couple of weeks, my stomach is finally flattening again and I feel less stiff. I’m 61 and feel better than ever. Thanks!

    I agree with MANY MANY things you say but Lectins in night shades and other foods are VERY inflammatory for some. The minute I got off of tomatoes and high lectin and oxalate foods my RA went away!!

      @@les9058 I don’t do gluten, dairy or lectins & oxilates, but within 24 hours of getting rid of tomatoes RA improved drastically. I was eating pico de gallo quiet a bit and my hand was in so much pain I couldn’t write. Stopped eating it and healed quickly.

      You may be able to add beans back in as it may have been the reduction of oxalates and night shades that helped you

    • @MichelleNovalee
      @MichelleNovalee 5 дней назад

      Do you avoid potatoes too? I have RA and also quit nightshades and noticed immediate improvement as well. It’s the bell peppers that are the worst for me. Does each night shade affect you the same? What other foods do you recommend avoiding? I’m not 100% inflammation free so I know there’s something else missing. I don’t do dairy or gluten either. But if I eat a nightshade I have a really bad flare up so I know it’s a no go for me.

    • @L2Living365
      @L2Living365 5 дней назад +1

      @@MichelleNovalee I only eat sweet potatoes. I have in the last couple months determined I have SIBO (small intestines bacterial overgrowth). Basically leaky gut. If you have a lot of foods that cause inflammation that turn into RA, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. you more than likely have SIBO. a lot of the population does and isn’t aware of it. Typical medical doctors don’t recognize it. They just keep prescribing meds instead of getting to the root cause. You will have to research with functional medicine doctors. All I know is that the minute I got certain foods out of my diet, especially vegetables. I was able to feel better and start losing weight. I’m mainly carnivore with a few things like berries, sweet potatoes, coffee. Hopefully when I heal my gut I can add other foods back in.

    Hi! I was born just outside Houston, in Pasadena, and after many years away, have returned home to Texas. One of my absolute favorite fruits is figs. I'll do an arugula salad with figs, prosciutto, and goat cheese and just lemon and evoo dressing or figs drizzled with honey or dark chocolate. I also really love strawberries and blackberries. We used to pick blackberries by the bushel every summer.

    Grateful I came across your videos! I was thinking my weight gain was because of my anti-depressant meds because they are known for weight gain so I cut back. I was also taking Emgality for migraines which has a side effect of weight gain as well. It worked miracles on my headaches but I seemed to gain more weight. I was always the skinny person growing up and even all the way into my mid forties then it just happened. I never put two and two together about my weight gain being because of menopause. I’m following your advice and I am going to purchase your program this weekend so I’m more excited!! I’m also seeing a doctor for HRT next week. I’m ready to wear anything but black pants again!

    I eat the top healthy foods you recommend and avoid the bad ones however I also recently discovered that nightshades cause extreme inflammation and flare ups of my rheumatoid arthritis. It’s sad because about 95% of people (including doctors) don’t believe it’s a real thing. But luckily I found a doctor who said it’s real and that according to studies, 10% of people with an autoimmune immune disease react negatively to nightshades. Like super negatively. I wish this got more attention. I wonder if it actually affects more people and they just don’t know. I mean, it’s like deadly for me. If I eat a raw bell pepper, I will wake up the next day with a swollen ankle like it was broken and I can’t walk!

    Great informatiob! It's good to have a foundation from which to start experimenting with what works and what doesn't. We have such different genetics around the world. I can't do any nightshades, for example, including potatoes. I have RA, and my joint pain is directly related to my digestion. I can't eat many of the things listed as anti-inflammatory as they irritate my intestinal lining. Like coffee, nightshades, dairy.
    Apple cider vinegar however is ok for me in small amounts, it helps my metabolism and joints. I put a teaspoon in a glass of water with geiund ginger and stevia, it's yummy.

    hi there. i love your content. i'm a huge proponent of maintaining a diet focused on low inflammation. I was wondering what your thoughts are on stevia and monkfruit. in the beginning you talked about added sugars and that the body treats all of them the same way...but later you excluded them from the list when talking about artificial sugars. I get that they're not artificial, but they would still be an added sugar. So are they a yes or no?
