- The new BMW M2 encapsulates the pure joy of driving; its compact dimensions, a six-cylinder in-line engine, an optional manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive and an advanced control- and operating concept are all central to its appeal. Watch the video for more details.
BMW M2 with M Steptronic transmission:
Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 9.8-9.6 (WLTP), CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 222-218 (WLTP).
BMW M2 with manual transmission:
Fuel consumption in l/100 km (combined): 10.2-10.0 (WLTP), CO2 emissions in g/km (combined): 230-226 (WLTP).

Acceleration (0-100 km/h): 4.1 s (4.3 s*). Power: 338 kW, 460 hp, 550 Nm. Top speed (limited): 250 km/h (with optional M Driver’s Package: 285 km/h).
*The figure refers to the vehicle with six-speed manual transmission.
Official data on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions were determined in accordance with the mandatory measurement procedure and comply with Regulation (EU) 715/2007 valid at the time of type approval. In case of a range, figures in the WLTP take into account any optional equipment. For newly type-tested vehicles since 01.01.2021, the official data no longer exist according to NEDC, but only according to WLTP. It would of been very hard to top the previous gen's design however this one is growing on me the more I see it.

Very nice horsepower numbers at 460. This is a beast. I am sure it won't be hard to get 500 hp out of it with very light mods. I want one!
You dont even know if they really at 460 and if they dont do more. The engine is a beast. its just a press figure
the s58 engine alone is worth its weight in gold if you know anything about engineering, it wont be hard to get 700hp+ out of it with just ecu tuning, as its already been done on m3

@@Artyom_P 700 would be easy to get, but then the car starts wearing through the drivetrain quickly. Twisting the frame becomes a possibility over time as well.
Twisting the frame? Lol no sorry, that's not going to happen with anything under 1200hp if at all. And as far as wearing through the drive train...all the parts are rated around 900hp capacity.
So happy with my og f87 m2. Going strong since 2017.
Oh and please add the “laser lights” to this new M2, those have a stunning visibility on the latest m4 g82, im sure you can do this on the new M2 too🙏🏽

This happens with EVERY new model, everyone hates it for the first year then it becomes your favorite car after you let it soak in. This one will grow on you as well, as all the others did. Just don’t fight it hahah

you guys have honestly killed such a master piece. f87 was arguably the pinnacle of bmw engineering. this is a hug step backwards.
Pinnacle? 😂 It was a proper M car, but it had its flaws too (eg heavy car)

Everyone always has negative things to say. I love the body style. Looks need to transform year after year. It is the customers they are doing this for after all. You people forget bmw wouldn’t be anything without millions buying their cars. That goes for any company.
I really didn't like the design at first because of the pictures, but seeing it live at the M-Festival really changed my opinion. Really beautiful car in person, with great performance

Considering the hideous buck tooth grill on the G80/82 M3/M4, this M2 is a marked improvement. The large box flares remind me of an Audi ur quattro, or to be more correct, E30 M3. That interior dash looks like a large iPad stuck on top of the dash. There was no effort to integrate it, which leaves me with a half baked feeling about it. Overall though, great car. 👍

P.S. After that crazy demand for GR Yaris. I just want to say that I think there is big enough market for a bimmer that drives nimble like e30 m3 - Car as light as It gets even thought It will not be luxurious, car with atmospheric motor even 4 cylinder and hydraulic steering rack rather than eletric. But main and only thing car as light as possible only with obligatory safety features to pass regulations, just form follows function.

After spending time with the car itself. i must say that the new look doesn’t look bad at all comparing it when you see it on screen.

its the e36 modern, its actually pretty cool and got some old bmw vibes, u will get used to it. mercedes with its round curves and audi with the weird angles, bmw is way better
