Finally a ride video that plays a ride as a ride and not as a damn crash.
Exactly!!!!!
@@danlc95 for real right?😆🥁
@@thenamelessdrummer4223 - I'm done with that trend!
@@danlc95 honnessstllyyy. Like it's a ride not a crash lmao.
I am a Paiste Cymbals ARTIST and I use the PST7 LIGHT RIDE all the time! It is one of my go-to cymbals when I want a clean, expressive ride cymbal with lots of brilliance and cut. It works great for bossa nova! Also, while we're talking PSTs, the PST3 13" HiHats are super funky!
love the pst7 ride have the medium might switch it out for heavy
This one stood out to me!
I've had the pst 5 medium ride for over 8 years. It was part of my first set of cymbals. The rest have been replaced over the years, but that ride cymbals is still going strong!
been playing pst 7s for years now. amazing cymbals and sounds exacly like in the video, a true replication of sound that the other brands cannot achieve with such accuracy. Thanks Paiste for such quality throughout the years!
I just ordered a pst 7 medium ride the other day, i'm really excited
I really like most of them!. I've had the 20" PST5 Rock Ride for over 8 years now (and counting..) It's from my ever first set of cymbals and still sounds great!!. It has such a beautiful bell. I LOVE it!!
Thanks Paiste! ❤
More comparisons!
I like the PST7 heavy, and oddly, the PST3
paiste makes the best cheap stuff, it’s insane
I love this kind of comparison videos, I hope youre doing this for your other cymbal types, and symbal series too, although it will be more complex with your high end symbals since they are way more specific en diverse, but for the low end series, I cant think of a beter way of presenting the diffent choices you've got.
Damn, that pst8 Rock Ride is excellent!!
PST7 light and medium sound great, as well as the medium PST8.
I have a PST7 Light ride in the mail and I'm stoked! I may pick up that PST8 medium ride too, I think it would be nice to have both a "dingier" ride and a washier ride
how does the pst8 crash?
my choices as well👍
Comparisons are the best contents!
Paiste's budget lines sound better than professional lines from other brands 🤘🙌
True haha
So true, I got many compliments on a Pst3 ride I used to have (mainly about the bell).... then upgraded to a Pst5 got less compliments, now I have a Signature full ride, no compliments haha. I know many variables come in consideration but its crazy having compliments on such an affordable piece of gear, I mean come on is a PST3! Even to this day some of my band mates remember the bell of the PST3, something about the tone of that bell.
You're goddamn right👍
Facts! 💯
They actually all sound fantastic, even the pst3
Great!
Thanks
It makes the choice easier
I absolutely love the 20" PST 7 Ride & PST 8 Medium Ride. I have those wonderful cymbals, & it works fantastic for any live performances.
All sounds amazing
This vidéo is simple and perfect for make a choice. Love it !
Pst8 medium is great ride crash ! I buy one now !
Thx PAISTE !
just bought some 3,s can't wait to use them
Sweet all of them
I own the PST7 heavy, it sounds exactly like this, the paiste quality control is the best!
I still got my PST3 really cool cymbals for ppl who start playing drums.
Pst7 and Pst8 are very nice 👌🏻
PST series is fantastic!
That snare is mighty tasty.
PST8 👍🏽
I have a set of 2002's and a set of Giant Beats. I've had PST7's, they're ok, they certainly don't suck, but I just didn't care much for them
I'm a HARDCORE pAisTe Lover.
Got 5 Gongs, 7 Cup Chimes and All 4 Sound Plates !!!! 😳
Even have a pAisTe Tattoo.
I Sold about 140 HIGH END pAisTe Cymbals last week. Masters, Dark Energy, Signature, a TON of 2oo2 & souNd ForMula, 5o5s, etc.
I'm going to Restock my Arsenal but instead of Buying mostly Used I'm going to buy NEW pAisTe to help support the Company DIRECTLY.
So I'll be getting Lots of 900 & 900 colorsound, Pst7, PstX and of course Lots more 2oo2.
Looking for a 21 Rude MegaBell too 🤘
pAisTe-4-Life.
Hey Paiste can you please make a video demoing the 21 Groove ride ,which I think should be renamed 'Cosmic Ride' .
Nice
Hello Paiste! I would like to know where can I find the last ride in Brazil?
I have a pst5 22” rock ride it’s do the job to me 🔔
Pst8 medium ride and Pst5 rock ride😍😍😍😍😍
PAISTE 2002 are very rich, but PST5 18 "ROCK Crash is crazy
Those 3 dislikes are from instanbul and zildjian and Sabina cause they’re jealous their budget lines don’t sound like that
And Meinl
I like the PST7 but PST8 I like it too. I just like the finish on the 8’s and wish there was some darker cymbals in that line. Also I wish the 8 series had a thin or medium thin line with larger cymbals that goes up to 24” in crash and ride for jazz, fusion etc. I also wonder what the cymbals would sound like if they were treated like PSTX, would they be darker?
Honestly I am wishful but greedy and can’t afford the 602 Modern Essentials and Master/Twenty series so I was hoping for a cost effective dark series I can afford. Those 900’s I oddly can’t stand the sound.
Have you consider hammering your cymbals? If done right, it can really give a darker tone to the cymbals
@@RaulGarcia-bq1og no way. All it takes is one hammer in the wrong place or one too many and it goes bad. I’ve watched videos from various people on how cymbals are made by the companies to regular people modify them and the regular people go thru many mistakes. I’m not wasted $100+ to most likely ruin a cymbal.
@@robertlucas9867 yeah, well. Is only good if done right lol
cant go wrong with the pst 7 rides
...👍
I like to think that in between cymbal changes, the drummer had to keep playing the beat
And where can I get a PST8 BLACK ride ?
Pst5 rock ride and pst8 medium ride the best...but the old Alpha line was generally better.
I vote PST8 Reflector Medium Ride
🍕
Needs to be much dryer
PST7 are the better quality price!
0:16 0:36 0:45
Too much overtone
From the worst to best
