Masters 22 dark for sure. It's been my favorite Paiste ride to listen to for a while now. Definitely on my wish list. The wash blends so well with the attack, it feels like an extension of the sound rather than a separate entity. All of that while the stick is still very audible and pleasant. This would be a nigh unbeatable ride for a sort of one cymbal gig with a snare, bass, hi hat and ride.
The 22" Dark Ride for me - and it doesn't sound too different than the old Sound Creation. I would ask the factory for an extra heavy one though - because they do vary a bit.
Awesome sounding Cymbals - From the demo I personally own a 22" Masters Dark Ride, 22" Masters Dark Crash-Ride, 20" Masters Dark Crash Ride. Fantastic sounds. The only one missing and one of my absolute favorite Masters Cymbals is the 22" Swish. That's a Cymbal for all styles of music. Great for Jazz as a 2nd Ride or as a huge sounding Crash/China Cymbal for a big "ocean wave " sound ❤ Thanks Paiste! 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻
I like the 22" Dark Crash/Ride - has that washy Tony Williams with Miles at Antibes sound, fills it out - basic sound of it similar to the 1st example, 22" Masters Dry Ride, looks similar too - anyway I've ordered one
With 2 - 3 rivets sum of these would be love 💘those rides would sound even better how do these compare with K custom lime of zildjian because that’s all I’ve player for decades? Thanks
What size sticks is the drummer using. And yes maybe another video with those cats playing heavier Jazz and the drummer crashing the same cymbals. And riding harder and heavier. I have the 22 inch dark ride. It sounds different
Dear Paiste. I've spent more on two cymbals than my entire drumset..I'm completely ok because I have the best cymbals ever. 14 inch DIMENSION light hi hats are the best hi hats besides 15 inch 2002 sound edges of course.
This demo was very incomplete as you did not strike the Bells of any of the cymbals nor did you crash on them and lay into it in order to demonstrate the range of sound from each cymbal. 🙁
I know dark cymbals are really popular. People gush over them. But I think they're painful to listen to. Honestly, they sound like the cheap crap cymbals I had to buy as a teen in the 70s because I had very little money and couldn't get the good cymbals. I refuse to pay that kind of money for what sounds like junk from the 70s. I've always played Zildjian, but I've come to highly favor Paiste in the last couple of years. I found a used set of 404 heavy hi hat cymbals that I needed in a pinch and I'm delighted by them. And Paiste has some crash cymbals that for my ear can't be beat. I never thought I'd prefer them over Zildjian, but I think I do. As I need cymbals in the future, I'll buy Paiste. But not the dark ones.
Paiste cymbals will always be the best brand in the world!
22" Dry Ride, 22" Dark Ride, 22" Thin Ride. Really lovely tone from the 20" Mellow, wish they had a 22" version.
YES!!!! I've been moaning for ages that cymbal tests need to be made with appropriate music. Well done!
Sal Paradise so true !!
Best cymbals! Glad to see them compared in a musical context.
Yes! Liked the 22 dark and the 21 dry best.
Thank you so much Paiste for making a comparison on a jazz setting, appreciated.
The 22" Dark Ride, oh my God ¡¡¡¡
that 22 masters dark did it for me, but all sounded amazing in this musical setting
They sound fantastic with this music. Nice playing too!
Pure class! Hard to choose just one. I want them all!
Great comparisons!
Seamless. Excellent. Plus great cymbals.
Masters 22 dark for sure.

I have the Masters 22” Dark Ride, and it is one of the best cymbals I have ever played, especially for jazz.
22" Dark, 21" Dry, Mellow Ride
The 22" Dark Ride for me - and it doesn't sound too different than the old Sound Creation. I would ask the factory for an extra heavy one though - because they do vary a bit.
22" Master Dry Ride for life!
Awesome sounding Cymbals - From the demo I personally own a 22" Masters Dark Ride, 22" Masters Dark Crash-Ride, 20" Masters Dark Crash Ride. Fantastic sounds. All phenomenal
This was awesome! really enjoyed it 👍
Fantastic
I like the 22” dark
22 dark ride
Sophisticated. 👍

I would trade my 21 Medium and 22 Extra Dry Masters for that 22 Dark.
WOW
22" Masters Dark Ride
This is a fantastic video.
Awesome!
Mellow Ride or 22" Dark Ride
What a demo!
Blue Bird!

God help me, I do love Paiste
Classy,
Hello Mellow!!!!!!
Note to self: Get every 22" Masters, all Signature, 602 and 602 Modern essentials ride
then prepare for a divorce.
Wood or nylon tips ???
I wish they made the darks in 21's
Just find a ride that sounds like Joe Morello's ride on Take Five.
👍

Didn't like 22" Masters Thin.
I Noticed you skipped the 22 Extra Dry. 😂
I have one... So I know WHY you skipped it.
Heeeeey, where are deep ride and dark dry ride?!(((
Stick selection will make huge differrence
First!
A finnish drummer?
Somehow I feel all of them are too loud in a mix
What's the difference? They all sound the same.

Make it better if you can.

what is the idea of playing to jaazzy ride cymbals with such a fat sticks? lol that’s kinda stupid
