    That’s a hefty 12” Crash there

    Hey my dudes. I understand your dislike for the splash stacks, but to be fair, you guys set them up wrong compared to the Paiste site. the bottom cymbal is supposed to be bottom-up. Would love to see your opinion of these with that setup change made! Just flip that bottom plate and I think the sound will dry up quite a bit!

    Chanced across this great little objective video when browsing about the Paiste PSTX range, as have been uncertain about investing. But this video was very useful and really helped - so thanks, Drummers Review folks! One great upside to the way this video was presented was that you wasted no time on masses of pre-amble and instead got straight to it, with a very quick but clear journey through the range, and the qualities of each cymbal. That’s so refreshing in the world of drum/cymbal reviews these days!

    Awesome review as always! Think you got the 20" crash text wrong, it says 12" crash

    As you mentioned, the 10" Swiss Splash is a great fun, little addition to my kit. It just adds something different, it sounds great, and is bright and fast. Think Paiste nailed it with this one!!!

    I love these cymbals. Inexpensive but awesome. Got the 18 colorsound on my channel if anybody interested. Also 10 splash stack with 16” 2002 china stack sounds great 👍

    With all those holes, how durable are these? I’m looking at getting one of the Swiss crashes, but I’m a little concerned

    I own the 10 inch Swiss splash. I adore this Cymbal. Has a great trashy sound and would appeal to even the most discriminating year. One thing though, it is not as loud as you think it should be and also if you smack it too hard it will warp. I still recommend buying this Cymbal. My next one is going to be the 14 inch Swiss crash. Cheers!

    I have a daru model I bought used online and it is by far the best affordable trash splash out there. The sound is incredible.

    I've been using the PST 18" medium swiss crash. It's great for trashy accents.

    For the life of me I do not understand why Paiste doesn't make an unlathed version of the swiss crashes. Dry and dark is a terrific combination is cymbals of this type.

    Just by the opening drum playing you clearly have no idea how to demo cymbals. You are supposed to play grooves on the hihats without ever touching most of the cymbals you are demoing. Have you guys ever watched cymbal reviews before? /s

    • @graysonherbert4604
      @graysonherbert4604 2 года назад +1

      @@kevinbothwell8425 Uh . . . . The /s on the end means sarcasm. I was making a joke about other review channels where they are supposed to be demoing the whole set of cymbals but they only demo the hihats. My point was that this is actually a good demo for a review because they play all of the cymbals.

    Very impressed at Páiste for bringing drummers such choice and quality at a great price while they still produce overpriced, safe, classic sounding lines of cymbals for conservative players.

    Jesus, man...hit the cymbals like your supposed to. None of this tapping shit. Cymbals are meant to be struck hard for the most part.

      I'm glad they use dynamic range in their tests. Nothing annoys me more than "tests" that just involve bashing. Cymbals are instruments. They should respond to a wide range of techniques based on how you strike, where and how hard. They are for making music. Music needs dynamic range. So, no, "cymbals are NOT meant to be struck hard, for the most part."
