    I just started my rice water journey in April 2022, after recently seeing these videos surface again. I wash my hair weekly and committed to using rice water twice a month and will share an update in December. Like you, the shedding stopped immediately and my hair feels extremely soft. I'm allowing my rice water to ferment for several weeks before use. My hair had grown to bra strap length, but due to the unexpected death of my father, stress, long work hours, and COVID-19, it came out considerably. I use great products and have consistent hair routines in place. I'm hopeful for successful and restoration of length results. Thanks for sharing this amazing video. Blessings! ❤️

      stupid question, is it fermenting all days in the refrigerator or is it some days in and out of the fridge? Some many people do it differently. Just wonder how you do it.

      I make several batches at one time and place them in a dark place (my pantry) for several weeks to months at a time to ferment. The smell is horrible, but I don't care if I'm going to get the desired results. It's October and I have experienced growth and thickness. I will continue to use Jasmine rice water twice a month surpassing December and will continue for a year. I wish we could post pixs here, but considering it only cost a little time to incorporate into my hair routines, I will stick with it. Wishing everyone well. ❤️

    Wow! I tried this after I permed my hair yesterday. My rice water fermented for about 36 hours. I permed my hair. I took photos of the hair I gathered that after the perm. I generously sprayed the rice water onto my (less porous hair). I easily combed the rice water through my hair. Tied a small bun at my nape. Then, waited 30 minutes with a plastic cap covering my hair. As I rinsed out the rice water, the silky texture of my hair was evident. Due to the porosity of my hair, I used a conditioner. Subsequent to rinsing out the conditioner, I used the small end of the comb to pull my hair into another bun to air dry. After it dried, my hair is silky smooth, shiny, and bouncy! Thank you!!! This morning I only lost one strand of hair. This after when I combed my hair after a nap, there wasn’t any hair. My brush is still clean! Nothing in the sink or on the countertop!!! I believe this the solution to strengthening my hair!!!! Thank you!!!

    I have relaxed hair, and I love using rice water. My hair is now flourishing. I have gained extreme growth. Less shedding, and it works. My next venture is magnesium oil. It removes the calcification from the scalp that perms leave behind. Which will also stunt hair growth. Magnesium oil is what most of us lack in our bodies. One of my beauticians from years ago. Would apply Magnesium oil to our hair after a retrace or perm. Our hair was so healthy. He had so many clients until, he eventually left the business. He was the best. So, magnesium oil. Is also a miracle worker.

    I cook rice frequently and soak it overnight in filtered water before cooking. Tried this for kicks as a leave-in after fermenting it for 24 hours. It does wonders for porous hair! It was soft, flexible and heavy. Dried perfectly straight but...my scalp was sooooooooo itchy, likely from the starch. Those of you with oily hair maybe use it as a pre-wash or a mask.

  • @Valentinathevamp
    @Valentinathevamp 5 лет назад +27

    If my hair seems to be breaking or shedding too much - I do a rice water rinse. I have a 5 gallon bucket of it. It smells so bad because I do not remove the rice. I wash, condition, rice water rinse, then rinse VERY well. If you leave the rice water in your hair, it will damage your hair. If you let the rice water dry in your hair and then comb or brush it, it will break off your hair. Rinse rice water out of hair after 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse very well. Rice water does not make your grow. Rinse water stops breakage and fills in the holes in the hair cuticle making your hair feel stronger and helping your hair’s elasticity. Protein sensitivity people should use caution.

    I relaxed my hair when i was about 5.I loved it my hair was still thick and curly.I went back natural It was okay for a few years and now i'm 11.I can't even put my hair in a PONYTAIL and whenever i tried moisturising my hair just absorbs the moisture and does nothing. So 5 days ago on Monday I decided to child relax my hair with kids organics relaxer.This is my 5th day with relaxer and my hair has been SOO easy recently.I tend NOT to brush my hair and wash it frequently because my hair is new relaxed hair.Relaxer has made my roots thin in a good way. My roots used to be SOOOOO thick it wasn't good.Normally thick hair was good but in my case it wasn't.
    Most of my friends are angry with me for relaxing my hair. I try explaining.But they just keep on ranting at me saying , "Your hair is going to fall out!Your hair doesn't even get longer!" YES I understand your hair can fall out when you get relaxer but that's just for particular people who constantly brush out their relaxed hair. My hair seems to look longer as i have type 4b/c hair my hair tends to shrink up 55%.The relaxer has stretched out my hair and i feel comfortable with it.
    I kept my relaxer in for about 5mins then i washed it off.I didn't want to DEEP relax my hair i just wanted my thick hair to calm down.I have had GREAT experiences with relaxer and I hope you guys do to. xx

      Hey Mayah, make sure you are deep conditioning your hair every week. It's great that you don't use brushes because they can cause breakage, use wide tooth combs only. As long as you practice healthy hair care practices and do not manipulate your hair too much, you should be fine. Happy hair journey!

      Gucci Potatos like she said you must condition your hair especially after relaxing it. Relaxer is a harsh chemical and you must condition to bring back down the ph. It is beyond me why people use those box calcium hydroxide relaxers. They are harder on your hair than the lye on which is sodium hydroxide. The companies wanted to sell them to black people to make more money and they could sell it so easy when they said no burn relaxer, but that’s why everyone’s hair falls out.

    looks lovely doll! I can see how this would be beneficial to relaxed hair. Less breakage and lots of shine and also since there is a little more porosity with relaxed hair then I am pretty sure the hair follicle will really soak it in.

      Leah Bailey One isn’t better than the other. They both have pros and cons. The biggest pro with low porosity hair in my opinion is that the cuticles lay flat and are not as raised like it is with high porosity hair. This makes low porosity hair look super healthy and shiny because of that smooth cuticle layer. Low porosity hair also tends to hold on to color longer.

I am mixed race English, Portuguese and African. It makes my hair feel silky soft I straighten it the next morning hair is so silky never been this way before. People do not relax your hair UNTILL a month latter!!! Remember she already has beautiful long hair, you must not leave this in longer than 30 minutes. Then rinse wellllllll, then deep condition with a NON protein conditioner, if you do this stop using any extra protein products or you will get protien overload!!!! Instant hair breakage at the roots!!!! Be careful with this. It works but but its a strong protien, no other protien products can be used!!! You've been warned💯💯💯🤣🤣

    YES! YES! YES!!! It works very well on relaxed hair. It makes your hair very soft and it straightens it, to me personally!! However, I do NOT ferment my water with the rice in it. I do it the right way, Yoa Women way..#THEREALWAYtodotheRiceWaterHairRinseYaoWomen'sRecipe (couldn't find the link, sorry)! Its a Super fast Growing procedure.. I use it as a leave in nightly and I'm Happy!!
    Let me just say, after preparing this method wrong too many times and it still worked. I knew it was worth the journey...
