Your voice is sooo soothing to listen to.
Lem0nnnndrop Thank you, Lemon Drop!!!
Yes! You're quite eloquent and I like that you keep it classy (no swearing, minimal "millennial speak" , etc). Well done!
thats faxx
I agree 😊👏🏾
I was just about to type this. Subscribed just to listen more!
I agree with you. But I would add some more...
Never mix relaxer. This will give you chimical cut. Make sure all the properties are the same.
Never reapply relaxer on relaxed hair this will damage your hair.
Don't wash your hair everyday
Don't sleep with wet hair.
Do a kind of chronogram. That is what I do on my hair...
Every time I wash my hair I do a deep condition but follow those steps
Week 1 - hydration - hydration - nourishing
Week 2- repeat week 1
Week 3 hydration, hydration, reconstruction
Week 4 hydration, hydration and nourishing.
If your hair is badly braking take same hydration step out and use more reconstruction.
Hydration masks - look for products with glycerin, bepanthen, aloe Vera that give water to your hair.
Nourishing - masks with oils and vitamins... Coconut oil, avacado, argan, marrocan oil, olive oil, flaxseed... etc
Reconstruction - keratin keratin keratin all the way lol 😂 of curse if your hair is already strong and you apply too much keratin it can break as well.
I'm from Brazil this type of treatment is very popular back home.
At the moment I don't have any chimical on my hair.... But I have use all types of relaxer and Brazilian blow dry on my hair.
It helps as well to 2 weeks before you relax it do a intensive week of deep treatment... So your hair is well prepared to receive a strong chimical. It is less like to break.
Chimicaly treat hair need special attention. It is very time consuming and expensive. But totally worth.
So I have loads of mask from cheap to expensive...
But the brands that do wonders for my hair is
L'Oréal professional (intense repair)( curl contour)
Kerastase.... I love all the lines but If your hair is badly damaged I recommend kerastase residence it is the best of the best.
Joico
Avon- kera care
Lanza
Etc
If you are using drogstore masks add liquid bepanthen, oils, glycerin, extra vitamins.
Every hair has it own demands, look for what your hair need the most. If you look after, it will be shiner and strong
Haaaaa castor oil helps with grow. Omg... I talk to much I hope it helped. Xxx
Elizabeth Ferreira This is amazing, Elizabeth!!! Thank you for schooling me! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾
Elizabeth Ferreira I love Kerastase
Elizabeth Ferreira What does hydration, hydration, nourishing mean for week 1? Does it mean you deep condition 3 times in one week?
@@gemruby41 I don't know the name in English... As my first language is Portuguese.... But in Brazil we call cronograma capilar.
The treatment involve in 3 steps : hydration, nutrion and reconstruction.
So let's say you wash your hair 3 times in a week.
So, week 1 Monday - use a deep hydration hair mask. Wednesday use hydration mask. Saturday use a nutrion mask.
Next week use the same process.
Third week instead of use nutrion use reconstruction mask.
If you wash your hair one week it's OK as well, as long as each time you wash your hair you use a deep mask. Following the concept of hydration, nutrition and reconstruction.
Most of the time chimically hair need more keratin to be strong.. If that is the case do 2 reconstruction treatment one hydration and one nutrition. But don't abuse too much keratin can break and to much oil can leave your hair greasy. Even hydration can leave your week.
It's all depend of the level of the damage.
Do you know when the hair ends are elastic after a relaxer.... So that is the time people should wash as less possible and use loads of keratin.
It is sounds too much but I promise it works... If I show the pictures of my hair before and after you not going to believe.
You just need 3 mask or like I said some supplements to make the mask more potent.
Haaaa shampoo sulfate free and pH from 4 to 5 is the best....
I hope you understand!! ❤️ 😊 💋
Elizabeth Ferreira thank you for replying. I understand it now. Do you know which Kerastase masks for hydration and nutrition?
I am now natural after being relaxed over 15 + years. I want to say that it is nothing easier and people tend to believe it is. Your hair requires just as much attention to be healthy. I still must get trims and moisture treatments especially in this hot weather! Your doing great job with maintaining healthy relaxed hair.🙂💇♀️👏👏👏🎯
I have natural hair so I don’t know how I ended up watching this video. I really loved your presentation. It was so elegant, so 👍🏾 to you!

You and my godmother are 100% voice, personality, and character twins!! Such beautiful spirits! ❤️❤️
Ditching combing and brushing is the best thing I've ever done for my hair. I only finger comb gently now when I apply my moisturizer at night.
Just found your channel. I have the same length hair you have but I have no idea how to care for my hair without going to a salon. You’re very inspiring and I think I’m going to start following your tips! Thank you so much for all the great info

I would love to have a relaxed girl like you on my salon chair. Your hair looks so healthy and gorgeous! ! It bothers me when I hear you can't have healthy relaxed hair.
Thank you, Miguel! It bothers me too. A lot of people just need to learn about their hair and what works for it.
I love listening to your video presentation because of the way you put your words very soothing and polite, and I just start relaxing my hair again after a while now, I was natural and I was looking for a nice video that will help me to grow my hair healthy and strong. and I think I fond it thank you..

Thank you so much for such great tips. I have dove in to deep conditioning my hair and it’s thriving.
Hey Tiondra! That's so great! Glad it's working!
You are incredibly beautiful and so well put together. Thank you for this video. My hair has been falling out uncontrollably. I think I need to see a stylist and deep condition often :)
Loved tips video. I would also like to add that I relax my hair with a children’s no lye relaxer which I do approximately two to three months apart and use eggs, Greek yogurt and olive oil for deep conditioning. 👍🏽💪🏾🇬🇧
My fav!! 💓 thanks for your awesome tips.
You're welcome, Amber! I appreciate your support so much. Thanks for watching!
Your hair looks amazing in this video.
Thank you for your tips 🙏
Everyone should know their own hair and what it can take. I never do my relaxers too long but my hair does need a regular schedule for when relaxing. If I go too long without relaxing my hair tends to shed. I try to keep to a schedule and that helps me.
Same thing happens to me. If I wait 10 wks between relaxers my hair starts to drop from my crown.
@@charlib68 You should use infinity 100 from amazon my hair grew straight away and my hair stopped breaking... its really good try it.🤗🤗🤗and it is also 100 % natural
That's like me. If I don't relax my hair every 6 weeks, my hair breaks off.
@@infinityartspro Yup. If I envy those ladies that can stretch for so long but not me; my hair isn't having that.
@@lpgilber me too! I wish I could stretch
Omg I LOVE YOU! sorry to be honest but I really enjoyed listening and watching this video.
You sound really professional and composed as well as knowledgeable. I love that you are not overdoing it like sooo many teens and kids try to on RUclips
Good for you.
Keep up the great work. I’m subscribing.
Rising Vibrations Thank you sooo much! Yeah - I’m not like the kids and teens at all...because I’m about 100 yrs old. Lol! Thanks for watching and your kind comments made my day! xoxoxo
@@StyleDomination LoL! I didn't mean to compare you to teens and or kids. Sorry my mother tongue is French lol. What I meant to say is that regardless of age... Most the videos on youtube, people try to Jared and tend to overdo it a tad, so they end up sounding corny and immature. We are probably around the same age so yes about 100 years old over here as well.
I'm trying to improve my English accent and I'd love the sound of yours even though I can't quiet place it. Anyways thanks for all those lovely videos, but mostly thank you for replying.
What a lovely soothing voice 😊😌
I'm natural now actually when my hair is relaxed it grown so fast and I need to redo my touch up every 6 months or so. Natural the third time in my life I like the fact that I rediscover my hair every time natural the way my curls grow. But I'm thinking on day to go back relaxed or something closed because my carpal tunal in my hand really make it hard to maintain my hair. Good video.
Thank you so much for the wonderful tips. I have had so many bad experiences with stylists, I plan to relax my hair myself. I feel confident that I can do this safely as I have watched many RUclips tutorials. I will use a mild relaxer and strictly adhere to application time. You are beautiful! I agree with the poster below who stated you look like Natalie Cole☺️ My brother loved her. I am new to your channel and have viewed several of your videos. You are very knowledgable about relaxed hair health.
Thanks for the tips... new sub

Hi Dominique! I came across your channel randomly a few weeks ago, and I'm hooked since. I love how articulate, feminine and mature you are (which is very rare to find these days), so I decided to suscribe to your channel! I'm looking forward to getting more advice from you, as I struggle to grow my relaxed hair, and eventually get some great tips on fashion and makeup. Keep up the good work!
Hi Christine, First time coming across her videos too and I must say, I'm hooked. Very classy woman, and she give good tips. I just stumbled over her videos and as many videos I watch she is the most impressive. I've watched so many videos and there are so many crazies out there!
Great tips!! I will try to add it to my hair routine. Thank God I'm learning how to take good care of my hair now. Your channel is really helping me with this! I also would love to find thoses products here in Brazil, I mean I can find them but it's way too expensive, more than it should be, especially those with extra moisturizing formulas. :( you look gorgeous as always, loved the way you styled your hair 😚
Joyce R. Thank you, Joyce! Maybe you can try www.amazon.com?
I absolutely love the wet brush, I just recently got the one that is specifically for heat use during blow drying and it's the best. Im still looking for a good daily moisturizer because I hate the greasy feeling of some. I'm right now using the AG moisture fast food leave in and it could be the one🤞. Great video, I always leave your videos with a little more knowledge. 💜
kalisha jones Oooh! Kalisha! I’ll keep my eyes peeled for that AG product. AG is one of my favourites lines! I ordered the Wet Brush Lemon Drop brush during the Sephora sale. I hope it’s good!
Style Domination I swear by the bb plus primer they have. I'm really interested in trying more from this brand. Btw starting today thru the 22nd Ulta is doing buy one get one half off on AG. 💜
Great content
Thank you, Irline!
Hi like your video...i just got relaxer after having natural hair for 4 years. My hair started shedding right after the relaxer at the beauty salon. On the top only.

Hi Dominique, could you do a high end vs affordable hair product video review targeting different hair issues? Can't wait for the fashion videos. Keep up the good work!
Tina Otchere Great idea.

@@StyleDomination hi I would like to see more of your favorite products and your favorite protective style s. I'm a new subscriber and found your video professional and informative. Your voice is very soothing.
my hair is relaxed, I've never worn weave. My hair looks like hers in texture and length. I use real shea butter to condition, jamaican black castor oil on my scalp, Coconut oil & olive oil. You can also use tea tree oil, argan rosemary oil. I use Dr.Miracles Super strength deep conditioner with a steam cap and my hair has been flourishing with al these products.
@ZacariasVEVO Why not? explain!
@ZacariasVEVO Thanks for the warning
Coconut oil is not good for psoriasis of the scalp or dermatitis it produces yeast and more buildup of dry scalp.
@@tarnishermack94 Thanks !
@SolSearching If your hair is non-porous use lighter oils like almond jojoba and avocado oil. Heavier oils like coconut, olive and castor oil are better for scalp nourishment and are also better on porous hair types. Whatever you do , make sure to use a good deep conditioner, prepoo and a leave in conditioner. Relaxed hair needs alot of conditioning to prevent dry, damaged, breaking hair.
I have had my natural hair for 2 years but I want to go back to relaxing. What relaxer do you user? I have coarse dry hair. I like your personality. Thanks for the video.
You should use infinity 100 from amazon my hair grew straight away and my hair stopped breaking... its really good try it.🤗🤗🤗and it is also 100 % natural

Very useful video, thanks! What relaxer do you use?
Your hair is so pretty. Do a routine!!!!!♥️♥️♥️
This is the video that is going to save my hair
Thank you
Can you make a video about how to find a good stylist for relaxers? I use the Olive Oil box kit at home but I tend to over process and not just get my new growth. I want to find a stylist but I have no idea how to find one and how to make sure they are not going to damage my hair!
Thank you, i just premed my hair after being natural for a while, my hair is more silver now, I haven't been to a hair stylist in 10 years, it felt so good. Got a nice cut on top and its long in the back. She cleaned my silver up, i love it. You gave some good tips. And i just started with makeup myself. Bless you and have a wonderful day.
how often do us relax gals need to get a trim on the ends?
Can you please do a video showing you getting a relaxer done at salon?
Can you post how you style after wash day… complete start to finish. I would like to see how you get it moisturized and shiny without weighing it down
It disappoints me that so many “professional” hairstylists keep relaxers on so long and/or over process the hair..... I have resorted to supervising them when relaxing my hair 😏. Too many are getting licenses and care more about styling than scalp health at least in my experiences.
elite3737 I am also shocked at how the neglect the client while the relaxer is on. Don’t you take pride in your work? I’m so fortunate to have such a great stylist...to have found her so early. Thank you so much for watching!!
They care about $$$$$. Get Ya in N out to get the next $ You're just another number. ( I know not all but a LOT !). No1 cares about your hair as much as you.)
YES elite3737! 100% agreed. I use to "police" my stylist and got her trained so well. Then she moved away. I slacked off on the next stylist and that led STRAIGHT TO OVERPROCESSED HAIR! I'm so upset with myself.Dominique - can we borrow Gloria over here in NYC? I promise to send her back! LOL! I am about to embark upon a SERIOUS hair journey. I think I have all the tools. I just need to train my new stylist on EXACTLY how to relax or rather TEXLAX my new growth. Believe me, I had to fight with my last stylist. She keep telling me that my hair was "under processed' and that I was wasting my money...however, my hair was thriving, so I must have been doing something right. And where can I find that indigo luster glo? I need it in my life. Also, ladies try the TGIN honey mask for your deep conditioning. I add a little Jamaican Black Castor oil in the portion I plan on using on wash day. That mask is MAGIC!!!!! Just do as instructed...only need 15 minutes with heat or 30minutes w/o heat. Trust me, you will love it! Also, very important after relaxers I find is to get a protein treatment...if you're overly sensitive, then a "light" one, but it's somewhat imperative. Just to replace what the relaxer has removed BUT ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS follow up with a moisturizer or you will pay dearly. I did in a MAJOR way. Protein overload is the absolute worst! Unless it happens to you, you cannot imagine the instant damage. Wishing you a happy, healthy, hair day! xoxox
I agree,
I always have that proplem
@@StyleDominationWhere do you go
I really can't stretch it to ten weeks. My new growth is crazy after just six weeks.
Quality products, low heat and protection, protect hair before relaxing
My last relaxed was 9months ago (also the first time I relaxed my hair ) is that okay ?
Hi ! i'm from Brasil. I not speak inglês wel . my hair broken too .how relax do you used ?
I went looking for the steam cap on line at Sally's and they do not have it
I love your videos and I am natural. Both requires effort and work. Folks assume going natural that their hair is going to all of sudden mystically grow lol far from the truth. However, if you take extra care of both relaxed and natural hair your hair will grow. I've been on both sides of the fence, I learned my hair in it's natural state and grew it down my back, but I know for a fact, if I had applied the methods I use on my natural hair, on my once upon a time relaxed hair, my hair would have grown WL just saying... Patience and loving your hair, it will grow.
@TammyAdams528, im 1 of those ppl who thought tht.☝i wz contemplating choppin off mines, in anger, which is above my shoulders (tht HURTS cuz it used 2 be past it), thinkin
mayb it'll grow faster if i go natural!! I ddnt cut it tho cuz startin frm scratch is NOT my plan..mayb if i wz like 13 yrs old, bt im not!!!
Hi I'm new to the tub world . And you had answer alot of my question just by watching your video .. except for 2 or 3 questions one of them is how often should I do scalp treatments on my hair ?? An how often should I deep condition my hair ?
Could the Sheamoisture Jamaican Castor Oil Leave In Conditioner be used daily to moisturize my hair?
You remind me of Natalie Cole. Anyway, thanks for the tips.
Thank you! I get that all the time!
I thought that it was her in the thumbnail 😂. She is really gorgeous!
New subscriber ! My hair started growing when I kept my hands out of it! I go get it it washed, blow dried every two weeks. I only wrap it in between. I live in Tennessee so not very expensive, but I clean a house once a week (on the side) to afford it.
Angela Brown Good for you, Angela! I miss the days when I used to go to the salon weekly! I just don’t have the time anymore!
Hi girl what’s your opinion on do saw-in with relaxed hair does it sounds healthy for you is it a protective hair style does it help the hair or it cause damage
I love the steam cap and 15 minutes is enough time to deep condition the hair.
Sweet Shay The steam cap is one of my favourites. So effective!
My relaxed hair just isnt growing so ive been trying some natural hair growth regiments like fenugreek water, home made clove/rosemary/thyme oil. Would you recommend them for relaxed hair.
OMG from your thumbnail I thought you were Natalie Cole 😔
kimberly washington Sorry to disappoint. Definitely cannot sing like her! 😄
Lol it's fine, it's just that you have such an uncanny resemblance to her, if she hadn't passed I would have thought u were her.
That's why she looks so familiar 😥
Came straight to the comments to see if anyone else saw the obvious resemblance to the beautiful, late legendary, songstress!
I was about to say.. Didn't she pass
I usually go every 8 weeks. wish I could wait 10 weeks but i am scared of breakage. but hey i could get breakage from going every 8 weeks. this may be the reason my hair has a little breakage/ weak areas
I have subscribed to your channel let me hope I will get rid of hair fall but wat kind of hair relaxer should I used coz I used ORS to relax my hsir but ever since that my hair started fall I feel like crying when ever I look at my old pics I had long hair but now its short and I think its still shortening coz it fall when ever I comb
What advice do yo have for grey hair??,
Can i use coconut oil on relaxed hair?
I have a very simple question; is it advisable to comb hair when conditioning (during washing ) or after washing whiles damp. Which one do you prefer?
I comb my hair with a wide-tooth comb *while* rinsing out the deep conditioner in the shower. The conditioner I use is an excellent detangler and the comb just slides through!
I just started back relaxing my hair last year. my stylist would use a different brand each relaxer day. i began noticing breakage and shedding at home. something just isnt right. i go to her every 8 weeks. do you think i should stretch a little?
Your stylist should not be using a different branch each relaxer day. That is not healthy for the hair at all. I hope you found another stylist.
I got a relaxed hair like a week ago and it started to have small wounds and a bump, is this normal?
Hi my hair is not feeling right from my last relaxer; look straining to me.
Hi, Where do you buy the Indigo luster glo? Thanks!
I love ur hair
Where can I get the moisturizer to buy online?
