Awww...I appreciate that you did this! You must be relieved now that the winter book is done. Would love more of this type of video. Also, you may want to consider a video on how you set up your cron-o-meter to track what you want it to, customize, etc.
Oh yes I have more time now haha! I will do more of these for sure!! :) Yeah I am trying to figure out how to film being in an app to be able to do that ... I'm not sure how I will do it yet
Thanks! This helps a lot for new raw vegans! I'm giving it a try because of your channel! So far I'm really liking it :) have been rt4 for almost two years now
Hey Lissa! I like this style of what I ate today videos. I get a better understanding on how to succeed on a raw lifestyle when you are talking us through it :)
I love seeing how it's done! Would love to see from a higher/closer angle to better see the counter top if possible. You're my favorite raw foodie on RUclips! Please, keep it up! I learn so much from you!
Yes!! I didn't think of that until after I filmed it, but I will do a different angle next time if I can attach my phone so it doesn't fall hahah! And thank you!! thank you thank you for following!! xo
Awesome, I will be doing more of these in the new year BUT I will be starting a Patreon account where I will be doing my own "uncooking" show similar to these videos but with some very special recipes that only my Patreon family gets to see! :)
I loved this style video...food prep was very simple just how I like it. I am taking your advice and just started reading proteinaholic from the library great read.
Again, another great video Lissa! Yummy food. Sun dried tomatoes 🍅 oil free, my favourite food, fresh lettuce leaves 🍃 I bought a lettuce from my local green grocers the other day and it was so delicious 😋 leaves bigger than my hands, crisp and fresh... im going to do your taco 🌮 recipe when I buy my next one...and those dressings look delicious, again, thank you for the inspiration.
Aww thank you so much - glad you enjoyed it, and hope you love the tacos - they are my fave :) Its so nice that nature made lettuce wraps for us to use for stuff like that hahaha
Awesome video! Thank you Lissa ! I just found your channel today and am utterly enjoying it. Please keep making recipe videos, it is sooo inspiring and motivating.
Awwww I am trying! It's a lot of work to prep everything for the videos :) But I want to make more! I may also do a patreon channel with these for the meal plan book but that's going to be a huge undertaking! These videos when I film them are about 75 minutes long and take 3-4 hours to edit down to a reasonable time. I love making them, I just have to find the time to! Glad you enjoy them though! xox
Liked this too great ideas and motivating. I find having a smoothie for breakfast and fruit during the day is so substantive. By the weekday evenings I am too tied to do anything so in a weekend I tend to enjoy a nice creative brunch. Will defiantly have a go at your salad dressings looks delicious & will order your books. Best wishes x
Thanks for making this very informative video! I am fairly new to this lifestyle, and this type of video helps me so much!! I hope you know how awesome you are, and how much we all love you!!
I really need to get my life together and start prepping, really seems like an easier way to live. (More efficient for sure) Everything looks delicious.
Hi Lissa, it's nice to see you at work! Have you thought of making a video about : What's in your fridge? And also I was curious why you never put music background in your videos? Take care xx
Oh! I just find that it is too much work to find music that I like in the free archives - plus I can't put copyright songs on youtube vids if I want to make any money on youtube, which is a huge reason why I am able to have free time to actually MAKE the videos! :) And a what's in your fridge is an excellent idea!
Oh the bowl I got a long time ago from the grocery store, can't remember which one, and the knife is a german steel I got at a trade show a few years ago but I can't remember the brand, I only bought 3 because they were like hundreds of dollars each! yikes.
I like to see you in the kitchen making great food. I would eat that salad with chop sticks, forks take too much time. Great food plan for the day. Thank you Lissa.
Ooh, marinating, nice idea. Will try that! Thanks for the video. Style works great, looking forward to seeing more like this. Question: do you eat mushrooms? There's a lot of conflicting information out there about whether you can eat them raw or not.
Yup I eat them raw but marinated and warmed in the sun or dehydrator. Chris from The Raw Advantage does this as well with no ill effects. Marinating in the sun or heat is what is key. :) Glad you loved the video!
Great video Lissa! Was awesome to see a switch up from the quick recipe videos which are well done as well. If only I wasn't surrounded by cupboards I could show my whole self while making videos lol. Quick question how often per week do you use a dehydrator? Keep up the great work!
Thank you my friend!! :) I think I use my dehydrator to warm stuff up about twice a week... sometimes 3, depends on what I feel like. But again.. only to warm stuff up. I don't eat fully dehydrated things like kale chips or wraps all that often... like once or twice a year haha!
Ok that works then yeah I"m not big on lots of dehydrated stuff either or dried fruit. The kale chips I bought in bag so much tastebud craziness I ate the whole bag. Love just the fruits and veggies!
HAHAHA yeah dehydrated stuff to me is just as addicting as cooked food, and pulls so much water to digest! I much prefer how I feel eating fruits and veggies too!
I use Santevia - but really anything that cleans and perhaps alkalinizes the water is great. I think there is a lot of hype in some filters, so just choose the one that resonates best. I don't have too much knowledge. I used to have an expensive alkaline water filter and I really didn't notice a difference with it. Plus, now in my life I eat so many alkaline foods that I'm totally not even concerned. I just don't want the chlorine and junk in my water.
I have been enjoying watching your videos. I noticed that you have a link for a dehydrator here. Can you give a review or if not, do you really like it and do you use it often? I noticed that the reviews on amazon are not that good, but I always thought Salton might be a good brand. Why do you like it?
This dehydrator is just the one I use, it's not the best that's for sure. I dont like stacking trays because you are limited in what you can put into it... but it works for now until I can invest in an Excalibur - the one I want is like 400$... so the Salton is just a cheap placeholder. I use it fairly often but only to warm things up. I never fully dehydrate things - I don't believe we should be eating fully dehydrated things. :) It's cheap... but warms things up. That's really all I like about it loL!
My dental health was ruined by all the crap I ate for the first 34 years of my life. I am trying to heal, and they aren't getting worse, so that's a good thing.
Lissa, how long did it take you to be able to eat such big servings. I want to be able to eat much much more. My bowl has gotten one size bigger, but trying to get the mega bowl size like you use for your meals, especially your salads!!!
I wouldn’t say it took long exactly, I just take my time eating. 30-45 mins to eat my salads. If I can’t finish I’ll set aside for a bit and get back to it but I almost always finish.
I'm 60 and raw vegan. Mainly fruitarian. That salad would be enough for me for a whole day at my age. I see many younger people eating large amount of vegan and raw vegan foods. But as they age, they will require less food to feel satisfied and to get their nutritional requirements.
One good thing about being a vegan, you don't have horrible messy work tops when you cut fruits and vegetables, as apposed to raw or greasy cooked meats. I don't use dishwasher tablets when it's just my food that's being prepared 😀
Robyn McCarthy I tried to keep it as short as possible. I had 1 hour and a half of film to deal with so 25 mins isn't bad. The next one is shorter. This was only the first video like this so I'm still working out the bugs.
Well, it's just that we live in such a "fast" world that if I see that a video is so long I don't usually watch it. But because I do enjoy Lissa's recipes I watched it. I still wish it had been shorter. I think she could have given us the same info in a shorter format. But as she said, this was her first one, and believe me, I do not do videos since I would not be good at them.
Does your husband also eat raw with you, Lissa? I just got my husband over to the raw side. Always looking for dishes to entice him. Just got your winter eBook. Thought the taco recipe was in it. Thanks for sharing this little bonus!
LOL! It's ok, not a whole bunch of people know, we kinda kept it quiet. He wasn't raw, but that didn't bother me. His food wasn't my food so I separated the two in my head. I don't really have an issue (other than animal products) if my partner will eat differently... I do me for ME
I have never tried to... so I'm not sure. I'm gonna say no. Even after 2-3 days in the fridge it starts to separate, I don't know if the thawing process will be so kind. Mine is gone by the time I would need to freeze it.. I actually make it fairly regularly so I have a routine with it. Soak in the AM, make for dinner, save two more portions for the next 2 days, repeat haha!
I do like the prep along with the what you eat in a day, but I think it needs a bit more editing. It felt a bit meandering. Thanks for the tips! Your food looks yummy.
Good feedback thank you!! I did edit this down from an hour and a half - lots of random stuff I deleted - will try and keep it shorter for the next time - I just like to talk as I chop haha!
The talking was great! Couldn't really see your prep area very well, so it was like watching someone cook from the living room. I love your videos. Very informative and full of tips!
Awesome!! hahaha yeah it was hard to angle it and get the prep and me in the video lol! They will get better as I go, promise!! Glad you enjoyed it though! I like having my fans "in my living room"!!!
it was a first video, i am trying to find ways to improve it but it's hard and im not sure if i want to invest in a mic right now, but who knows what i will do in the future
Awww...I appreciate that you did this! You must be relieved now that the winter book is done. Would love more of this type of video. Also, you may want to consider a video on how you set up your cron-o-meter to track what you want it to, customize, etc.

And thank you!! thank you thank you for following!! xo

Aww thanks!! I will do more like this for sure!
Liked this too great ideas and motivating. I find having a smoothie for breakfast and fruit during the day is so substantive. Hi Lissa. I love the video. I don't have a dehydrator, so do you think putting the 'meat' in the microwave to dry it out a little work?
Excellent, let's see more of these.
I will film more in the new year, I will also have a Patreon channel for exclusive videos like this!

right?? there is more nutrition than we think - we are just taught to eat the wrong foods
I really need to get my life together and start prepping, really seems like an easier way to live. (More efficient for sure) Everything looks delicious.
SOOOOO much easier than cooking! My stuff takes half the time that it takes to make my boyfriend vegan stuff!

Will do!
These are my favorite videos of yours; love to seeing what your day is like! Thanks for sharing your day with us!
Awesome!!! Glad you loved it!
Wonderful video! Wondering where you got your knife and bowls(that you used for breakfast)? Thank you!
Oh the bowl I got a long time ago from the grocery store, can't remember which one, and the knife is a german steel I got at a trade show a few years ago but I can't remember the brand, I only bought 3 because they were like hundreds of dollars each! yikes.
Lissa's Raw Food Romance Oh okay, cool! Thanks!
A good trick for lemon water..peel lemon. Cut in half..throw half in blender with your water..blend!!!
Yeah that's a good idea too! :)
Thankyou, really inspiring and informative
Thank you so very much! xo
More of these !
I have 30 filmed for my upcoming e-course!!
I absolutely loved this video! Thank you so much for sharing :)
And thank you for watching! xo
I like to see you in the kitchen making great food. I would eat that salad with chop sticks, forks take too much time. Great food plan for the day. Thank you Lissa.
Ohhhh chopsticks YES!!! :D
My son gave me the idea. He does it all the time.
Great idea!

Perfect thanks! I will do more like this
Very helpful thank you!!!!
xo
yeahhhhhhhhh please make more of this videos so we can have a good example
Will do lovely!
I much prefer how I feel eating fruits and veggies too!
love it a lot want more cause me and my twin sister started go vegan for a few days now.
xo!! :) Congrats!!
Hi Lissa :) what water filter do you use? and what is your opinion on water filters?
I use Santevia - but really anything that cleans and perhaps alkalinizes the water is great. I think there is a lot of hype in some filters, so just choose the one that resonates best. I don't have too much knowledge. I used to have an expensive alkaline water filter and I really didn't notice a difference with it. Plus, now in my life I eat so many alkaline foods that I'm totally not even concerned. I just don't want the chlorine and junk in my water.
thumbs up on the tail day video. Onions, garlic, English cukes...yyuummn. Can you do a video of a day with smoothies included?? thanks👍👏👏👌
Yup - I will be doing more of these, some with smoothies, some without :) I haven't been in a smoothie mood lately, but will do one :)
Great video!!!
Thank you!!
I just found your channel, I like how your food was more like a meals
Thank you!
Yesssss do more videos 👍
Great I love hearing that this was a good style!
Lissa's Raw Food Romance Oh ok, thank you!!👌🏽💖

Looks delicious!
Thank you!!!
awesome video. make more of these videos pls :)
Thank you!! I will be for sure, this one was very popular!
Great videos! My thought is how you're dental heath is due to the phytic acid in the nuts?
My dental health was ruined by all the crap I ate for the first 34 years of my life. I am trying to heal, and they aren't getting worse, so that's a good thing.
Lissa, how long did it take you to be able to eat such big servings. I want to be able to eat much much more. My bowl has gotten one size bigger, but trying to get the mega bowl size like you use for your meals, especially your salads!!!
I wouldn’t say it took long exactly, I just take my time eating. 30-45 mins to eat my salads. If I can’t finish I’ll set aside for a bit and get back to it but I almost always finish.
Lissa ,Just a question is there a discount for purchasing all your books?
Yup - that is here: www.payhip.com/rawfoodromance and 20% discount code until halloween evening is WINTER

EWWWWWW yeah.... Yuck!
Love this kind of video, but perhaps shorter. (This was quite a time commitment, but I wanted to see all the meals so I watched the whole video.)
Robyn McCarthy I tried to keep it as short as possible. I had 1 hour and a half of film to deal with so 25 mins isn't bad. The next one is shorter. This was only the first video like this so I'm still working out the bugs.
Aww, thanks for the reply! I enjoy your videos immensely and look forward to the next "What I Eat in a Day" video!
Awesome!! Should be later this week! xo
Robyn McCarthy If someone finds the video long, they should just watch the other part later. Don't cut them short please.
About how much do you spend a month, doing fully raw, which is what I love!!😃 US Dollars??
USD? Hmmmm maybe like 350$?
Does your husband also eat raw with you, Lissa? I just got my husband over to the raw side. Always looking for dishes to entice him. Just got your winter eBook. Thought the taco recipe was in it. Thanks for sharing this little bonus!
The Taco recipe is in my 30 Day Meal Plan :) And I am no longer married....
Oh, oops! Sorry... ok thank you!
LOL! It's ok, not a whole bunch of people know, we kinda kept it quiet. He wasn't raw, but that didn't bother me. His food wasn't my food so I separated the two in my head. I don't really have an issue (other than animal products) if my partner will eat differently... I do me for ME
Gotta love an orange cat❤️
Totally!
I loved this video!!!!!!!!!!!
YAY!!! So glad everyone is loving this style!
It's so fun to see you RAWK!!!
Awww thank you!!!!
Can you freeze the cashew sour cream & if so when it thaws, is the consistency the same as when you first froze it?
I have never tried to... so I'm not sure. I'm gonna say no. Even after 2-3 days in the fridge it starts to separate, I don't know if the thawing process will be so kind. Mine is gone by the time I would need to freeze it.. I actually make it fairly regularly so I have a routine with it. Soak in the AM, make for dinner, save two more portions for the next 2 days, repeat haha!
I do like the prep along with the what you eat in a day, but I think it needs a bit more editing. It felt a bit meandering. Thanks for the tips! Your food looks yummy.

Awesome!! hahaha yeah it was hard to angle it and get the prep and me in the video lol! They will get better as I go, promise!! Glad you enjoyed it though! I like having my fans "in my living room"!!!
plese more recipies like this
I will :)
I'd like to know a recipe for the meat that does not contain nuts. Thanks!
Use sunflower seeds :)
Love this video. Thanks you beautiful
might I recommend you get a microphone that you wear on your shirt, and perhaps different camera angles? this was still very nice to watch. thank you
it was a first video, i am trying to find ways to improve it but it's hard and im not sure if i want to invest in a mic right now, but who knows what i will do in the future
