    Recipe as follows for RAW VEGAN LASAGNA - A similar recipe can be found in Nate's DOOD FOOD ebook which you can buy here: payhip.com/b/clko (40% off code: RAWFOOD40) we altered this one for the show slightly.
    INGREDIENTS:
    4 to 6 medium sized zucchini (or cucumber!! Lissa really enjoys this made with cucumber) sliced lengthwise into strips - or use a kitchen tool as shown on the show to make zucchini strips
    Veggie sheet maker tool: amzn.to/3vkP3y8

    Garnish: Fresh basil leaves and dried oregano
    MARINARA:
    5 pitted medjool dates
    1 red bell pepper (without the seeds)
    1/2 cup sundried tomatoes
    1 small Roma tomato
    2 cloves of garlic
    1 tbsp tomato powder
    1/2 tsp smoked paprika
    1 tsp apple cider vinegar
    1-2 cups water (enough to blend without being too thick)
    PESTO:
    3 cups fresh basil
    3 cloves of garlic
    1/3 cup pine nuts
    2 tbsp hemp seeds
    2 tbsp nutritional yeast
    1 tbsp miso paste
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    2 tsp dried oregano
    2 tsp wate
    LASAGNA CHEESE:
    1 cup soaked macadamia nuts
    2 tbsp lemon juice
    2 tbsp nutritional yeast
    1 tsp miso paste
    1/3 cup water
    ASSEMBLY:
    • Slice the zucchini or cucumber into strips
    • Start with a layer of zucchini or cucumber on the plate in the shape of a portion of lasagna
    • Follow the first layer with the following,
    Cheese , Zucchini , Pesto , Zucchini , Marinara , Zucchini , Cheese , Zucchini , Pesto , Zucchini, Marinara , Zucchini
    • Top the lasagna pile with a dollop of marinara (or pesto or cheese, your choice!) And decorate with fresh basil and dried oregano.
    • Serve with a low-fat salad and enjoy!

    I wonder how much electricity a freeze dryer uses? I would try their freeze dried foods; they sound delicious. And this lasagna recipe looks amazing. Thank you for having them on!

      It’s about $2 worth of energy to run one batch, just depends how long it takes and what the base cost is in your area

    I use boiled white beans also to make my dressings instead of nuts

      @@pinkiepinkster8395 I have never used those but it’s worth trying though. I don’t use nuts because it has oil in it , same with seeds and that’s my personal choice. But you can try anything you feel like and see what happens

    Freeze dried smoothed can get through the airport because they are dry, then you can add water after you go through security. 1:22:00
