why is Silvia Night here her song was great it stood out from the other songs you can see a lot of effort in her performance I don't understand why people have to put this performance at the very end. Also why is there no Bulgaria 2009 here
It was painfully bad, I do appreciate her commitment to the art of the troll though, yeah might do another top 11 in time for next years Eurovision that could easily make it on there
I actually quiet like cry baby, the singing wasn't great but the song wasn't bad, yeah flying the flag was close to making, will have to relisten to the other two can't remember those
Well, you can give some of those listed song a benefit of a doubt as they're joke entries and not meant to be taken seriously, Portugal 2011,for example.
Iceland 2019 should definitely be added. Everything about it sucks - his way of singing, the message it sends out (The title literally translates to "Hate will prevail"), the staging, the dancers, his dress, even the few parts where the backing vocals are singing so there's no one screaming, everything. And yet it won a NF, qualified to the Grand Final and got in the Top 10 too.
@@Dim4323 that could be a good one I might do that, cheers for the suggestion, id have to think about that, they all sound the same pretty much, probably the one blue did I remember that being especially bad
Most of these entries are form the time when Televoting dominated the results. Low point was in 2008. Last years protests after Sweden's win over the Televote and wanting to abolish the Juries should see this video. This makes me vertain that Martin Österdahl will NEVER get rid of the Juries. He does not want to go back to the quality of the 00s. He's even said so (in a round about way)
I'm not sure why this is supposed to make me not want to get rid of the juries. Do you think there were any undeserving winners during the years it was televote only?
@@sk70091 I'll try to explain. When it was ALL Televote, naturally countries tried to get votes anyway they could, and having an outrageous entry, that people remember, is a good strategy. So the overall quality of the songs became less important, in exchange for spectacle. The contest started to become a joke. Think Ireland 2008. Very few of my personal favouties from ESC comes from this period, but all the winners were worthy in the field they competed in.

NGL there's a bunch of my absolute favourites here. Pokušaj is a pocket symphony with a gloriously absurd performance that is pure Eurovision greatness. A Luta e Alegria's verse is bollocks, but the chorus is great, catchy Brazilian 70s-inspired fun. I watch for entertainment, and I'd rather Portugal send that than Salvador Sobral being very serious but (whisper it because lots of people adore that performance) very boring. And Silvia Night is the best Eurovision entry of all time. There have been countless iconic three-minute performances in Eurovision history, but hers is the only performance that lasted an entire week.

Looking forward to it 😁 I really like your comments on why the entry is horrible. Something tells me that famous artists like DJ Bobo would've been more successful - even with that vampire song - if they went to Eurovision during their prime years.
It was definitely better than other Spanish entries, eg 2018. Or 2008, 2004, 2019, 2021, 2023, so many bad entries. 1999, 2005 and 2006 weren't great either, but slightly better than 2017. Yes, they, the UK and Germany had to level up their game. I really want tbem to compete in the semi-final. Germany 2021 is horrendous as well, so were their efforts in 2016, 2017, 2019 and lots of stuff before that, especially from the language restriction area, although it's not their fault that their language sucks.
@geezenation If you have a top 10 worst UK eurovision worst songs. Which 10 are you going to have (don't put andy Abraham it's a great song but it was the curse of 2nd)
YES! Thank you so much for putting Germany 2000 on the list! It's my least favorite Eurovision song of all time! How anybody likes that song is beyond me. I could say the same for 2012 Georgia (I'm A Joker), but I was entertained from that entry from start to finish. It's super catchy, and I'm relieved that it didn't make the list.
Yeah, most of these are from 00's, more or less the Dark Ages of Eurovision 😂 a lot of great songs in this year's competition again, been the case for a while already
i'll be honest... yes our song in 2011 was awful... but was a complete troll... the song is about standing up to the crisis in the Portuguese government... But at least even though they are a comedy act... I feel better represented as a Portuguese with this song rather than the craptacular entry we sent in 2019... I REALLY DISLIKE THAT ENTRY
