It's like walking through our own secret garden with Colette and Jack. The Trees, birds, flowers, folklore and history of Ireland. We are indeed blessed to have this as an almost daily meditation. I am happy you did not stay away long. That full moon was hard and powerful, but it always goes away in a day or two (thank goodness) May we all have more trees and flowers and visits with Colette and Jack. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us all!
Thank The Goddess your back, I missed you terribly.....your voice makes a chaotic world calm again. Its wierd, your garden looks like its still summer...
Silently, the children have seen them, In quiet places where the moss grows green. Coloured shells jangle together, The air is cold, the year is old, the trees whisper together, And bent in the wind they lean. This old song of the Incredible String Band came to my mind when I was watching your video today. I do love to drop in on you for a visit every day to see how you and Jack are, and of course, Bealtaine Cottage.
Colette, you make simplicity feel like plenty and bounty and wealth and the way things should be. Life can be so rich when we don't buy into the marketing that tries to stir us to panic and dissatisfaction. You are are inspiring!
Good morning Collette!! U and Jack were missed! Im delighted to hear your voice once again! So glad the u arent listening to those who tell u what to do and what not to. They are so blind to what is going on, sad really. U just keep planting and let her decide what she wants to prosper. Your gardens are as beautiful as ever!! Have a blessed day!
Hi Colette, thank you so much for this video. It lifted my spirits when I saw it! I had been checking daily for a new video. I think a couple of videos back you said you'd like to find out how many trees had been planted as a direct result of Bealtaine Cottage. I was going to reply to that video but decided not to because I thought putting about 6 plants in a neglected communal car park flower bed wouldn't count, but I've decided to let you know now!! I live in a flat and said flower bed is all the land I have access to. I don't really know anything about gardening and avoided it really because it always seemed so complicated. You have taught me something totally different that had never occurred to me!!... I didn't realise that you could just plant stuff lol... So anyway I did with great success. I planted a blackcurrant tree, a St John's Wort, a little fern, a connifer, a cutting of lavender, a mint plant and a rosemary plant. I covered the weeds with newspaper and mulch and put the plants in amongst the weeds. Much to my absolute amazement the plants haven't died and it's all looking good, and the neighbours love it! All in the name of Bealtaine Cottage. Thank you Colette Xx
Dear Colette , nice that you are back , hopefully you have recovered a bit . The drain of the pond is well done . Through the stages , the water 💦 is enriched with oxygen and that is wonderful . Clean living water is rare . At the moment we can not get beyond 7 degrees Celsius . Sometimes it freezes at night ❄️. The squirrels 🐿 are hiding in accord at the moment .A few cups of tea 🍵🍵🍵 and a nice hot stove 🔥🔥🔥 are now in fashion . Best regards and many hugs 🤗 to you and Mr. Jack and your loved ones from Conny Braun and cat 🐈 Felix from Germany .🌍🤗🙏🏼🌲🍂🔥🍵📚🕯🐶💦🙏🏼❤️🌎
Hello Colette! I found you a few days ago and I can’t get enough!! Thank you so much for your sharing such blessed beauty. I am both agog and so happy to see and listen to you and Bealtaine Cottage and the 3 acres. It gives me so much hope to see what’s ahead for me, as I have always been in love with trees, flowers, woods and nature. Thank you once again for being you and giving me hope for the future. Lots of love, Julie Skinner 💖💐✨🌿🍃🍀🌲🌳
Here in Nova Scotia, multiflora rose (Rosa multiflora, native to eastern Asia) is considered an invasive species. It has become an important source of food and shelter for birds and other wildlife here, especially in the winter.
YAY! You are back. Hooray! I learn so much from you because you make it interesting and give lovely explanations. I have been planting trees for years too, but going to plant so many more! Thank you Colette for sharing. X
Yes! You just said something that struck me! The birds DO have a que system!! I watch the different flocks come in a different times and wait their turn! And some mingle together while they snack !! ❤❤❤❤
Nice to see you and Jack in the wonderful woods again. I’ve become very attached to your videos. You where well missed well missed, hope you got a good rest. 🌬🧚♂️
Lovely to see you back Colette.. beautiful Winter's morning. Yesterday we had a lot of rain and had some local flooding of roads etc.. today it's overcast, cold, the wind is picking up and it keeps trying to rain again. But watching your video has cheered me up.. Thank you, blessings to you and Jack. 💕
Welcome back Colette. You sound rested and centered and that's a blessing not only for you and Jack but everyone who looks forward to your videos. Blessings to you both and may they never end.
Welcome back Colette and happy healthy Jack! Your videos are the closest to 'smellavision' on RUclips, an absolute feast for the senses, hearing the crunch of leaves underfoot, the babbling brook, seeing the crisp blue of the sky,the red stemmed dogwood, from your description feeling the icy kiss of Winter on your skin, imagining the deliciousness of pumpkin pasta....heaven! Blessings from fire ravaged, hot, dry and windswept Australia. K x
Aah the sound of the stream,it's just an enchanting Winter scene altogether. Will it still be there in Summer? I marvel at how you've grown trees from seed Colette,I found some 'helicopter' seeds, which I looked up,they're from a Maple, but they'd already turned brown. Still I looked at how you can help them germinate🌱🌱 and it looked complicated, they seem to be very fragile and might not thrive. But sure,Mother Nature knows what she's doing and you're there to give her a helping hand. I can't fit any more trees in my garden, but I'd try one in a pot for now(till I get a bigger garden-then I'll surround the place with gorgeous greenery)😁💗💗💗🌳🌳🌳🌟🌟🌟
So true about Christmas gone are the days when it was just family an the kids so lovely bu5 now every body has to have better then the others crazy your words are so true xx
You cottage is so cosy with lovely features furniture and knock knacks. I have a wood burning stove in my apartment as well rads powered by gas. I do concerve energy too and lucky this apartment had solar panalsu and wall insulation. So it is easy to heat and keep warm in the cold winters x I love your gardens plants trees flowers and decor garden furniture etc. A lot of work for you to upkeep so well done x
So lovely to see “green”. SW Michigan has seen some very cold and snowy weather just a little early this winter season. Watching this after a cold walk home from work. Everything is covered in snow and ice but all the leaves haven’t fallen off the trees. A very interesting time watching the seasons as they change and cause all animals (including us) trying to adapt. Variety is the key to good health for all types of animals
Bless Your Heart ....I call my moments "senior moments" when those pesky words won't come to me! "hot plate" is what we call a single burner. Love Your Videos...ole lass here too USA,CT...at 68, now 2021 it's just 47 damp degrees...Take Good Care
Oh Colette, what a wonderful look at the lodge and cottage and I am so happy to hear your voice again. Very centering. Love, love, love your three acres. I talk with my husband John about you and Jack like we are fine friends, you are a household word! Blessings to you and Jack. Colette, you are a blessing to us all. When my Charlie, a rescue dog too yawns, he sounds just like Jack and I laugh and tell him so, and he puts his head to one side and looks at me with a quizzical look! Glad you are back.
It's been horribly cold here too. My thyme, oregano and parsley lived through it! I brought my rosemary and norfolk pine in. That's all I have this year. That and 7 kitties. Love you Miss Colette! A wonderful psychic medium named Joseph Tittel predicts Ireland will have an extremely cold winter and possible a hurricane. You'l be fine my Darling. Our love for you will keep you warm.
I have just received your book today ‘A cottage and three acres’ and thank you for your ‘with blessings Colette X’ written inside which was a nice surprise. I’m looking forward to reading it. Take care X ❤️
Monoculture has been the death of our soil here in America. Our agricultural methods have been based on quantity and speed of growth, with monoculture prevailing along with fertilizers and pesticides. It has debilitated the fertility of the soil. You would have thought the Great Dust Bowl would have opened our eyes and taught us the value, and the miracle, of what we have right beneath our feet!
Christina P. Amen, as a 74 year American I watched the orange and lemon groves plowed under to build tract houses in Orange County California in the 50’s. Now this same decimation is happening in Greenville County?, SC. We are losing on average five acres of trees a day to development?. Now there is flooding and no can figure this out DAH! Greed drives all this and those who do not pay attention to history are doomed to repeat it. Plant, plant, plant is my solution. Leather leaf Mahonia is considered an invasive species here. I love it and allow the volunteers to flourish on my landscape. Even the Robins here feed on the purple fruits. Colette is such an inspiration to me to respond to all this destruction of Mother Earth with a positive attitude. ❤️ to you Colette and your faithful companion Jack.
My goodness Colette such beautiful land ,your right plant everything , You've done an awesome job with your land its truly gorgeous Hello Jack 🐶thank you Colette have a blessed day 😀🌷
So good to see you a d Jack again. Really missed you. Missed your cottage and you. You are such a healing person. Your cottage is an extension to your beautiful soul. Love and blessings dear lady. ❤
Thank-you for the woodland walk on your place....I think the best time is in the Autumn on a nice chilly day, you are able to see so much more and the fresh cool air is invigorating! Truly love how Jack is never too far away from you, he'll be your furry companion for always! ~ Blessings
Love your videos. I always look forward to seeing a new one. And that's a hot plate you were trying to think of the name of. At least that's how I call it. See you soon. 🥰
Good morning Colette and Jack, I have been missing for some time as I have had major surgery, but after this last lot, I am hoping that I,shall be able to join you and Jack as I did before. I am the Aussie living in California, wishing you a wonderful day. Xxxxxooooo
You’re right, Colette, if you learn to look more closely in Winter you can appreciate all the many different shades of greens, browns, greys and Winter has a wonderful beauty with this and the lovely stark branches against the sky. The odd leaf on a tree looks so fine x
Throughout autumn Colette the rooms woke me hammering acorns on the tiles on the roof. Literally sounded like someone using a hammer! I'd clap outside and the acorns would roll down the roof and onto the ground. I planted some beautiful violas near the hall door this week. Jx
Fantastic colours, love this season. I’m amazed at the height of some of your pioneer trees. When looking at your beautiful sanctuary co pared to your neighbours flat grassy field, it is so sad they don’t follow your ideas. Perhaps these fields could be your next project. 😜..blessings on this beautiful day. ❣️
Absolutely loved the tour Colette so lovely, were the steps your idea, very nice really enjoyed the tree/pioneer story, have a wonderful weekend, we had a light dusting of snow earlier this week, blessings from Nashville, Tennessee.
I don't care how many times you film your cottage ,I NEVER get bored. Just absolutely love it!
your videos always suck me away from the cynical mainstream urban life and reconnect me with my care-free, harmonious spirit. Thank you
