I have recently discovered this channel and it has become so important to me. I turn 65 this year and am wanting a change for the future. It's inspiring knowing how others endeavor to focus on the positive and the beauty of the only world we have.
I love how Jack always looks back at you as if to say, "ok, mum. you coming?" your videos are such a balm and it's exciting to see the changes as Spring is coming....
Thought I would tell you I watch your videos twice. Late at night I just listen to you talk as it is so soothing but my eyes are too tired to watch....then during the day I will watch them properly. You are an incredible person and I admire you so much. Take care

You are making the perfect habitat for a large variety of animals and insects. No wonder your garden is so beautiful and filled with flowers and plants. Bigger animals wants to move in as well. 😊 You inspire me in my attempt to turn this woodland into a garden. The excavation for my foundation, interrupted the trees behind, I live on a hillside. I let some of the young trees stand, the roots hold on to the dirt, so I dont get any landslides. It is far enough from the house, and I am growing more trees there, in addition to natural flowers for the bees. I do have big rocks too, to support the ground. It looked awful the first summer, but this will be my 3rd summer here, and it is looking so much better already. Have a wonderful Sunday in your encanted garden.

Hello Co;ette....as usual a lovely update to Bealtaine. I know exactly what you mean when you was saying how everything looks different because of the sap starting to rise. I had a complentative few moments looking out onto my garden whilst having a cuppa this morning and even though everything looks dormant I could see a gentle 'glow' in everything, sort of the life force within the plants starting to stir again. I thought about you whilst pruning my Wisteria, a little late I might add, and I thought no doubt Colette will be out too. Even though I was alone I felt in good company. Bless Jack! He always makes me smile....
Colette I was transfixed watching and listening to the stream flowing, and so interested in your management of the bankings. Incredibly fascinating and satisfying to work with nature on clearing the way for water to flow freely. Also very interesting was the way the old ash tip has regenerated; even ferns there, and for badgers to call it home was simply wonderful. I agree wholeheartedly re the intelligence of plants…yours clearly recognise a kindred spirit.
The view, light and color from your kitchen window looked like a dream. The tunnel was wonderful. The drive looks so tidy with the stones on it. I enjoyed seeing your world. Maybe one day you will see the visitor that is taking refuge. Blessings for you and Jack.
My goodness yes. I’m in the Potomac Highlands region and it’s just been snow, ice and freezing temperatures for so long. Weeks? Months? Idk I’ve lost track of time. Everything is so grey, white and dreary.
So lovely to see the changes and a bit of the new life coming through ❤️ still in winter weather where I am (Pacific northwest US) -- wonder sometimes what Jack thinks you are 'doing' as you walk around with the camera, talking to people all across the globe . . .
Each time "they" extend Lockdown I make a new flower bed. Slowly a garden is coming into fruition here. We'll sit out in it with some homemade cordial and DD2's cakes when you can visit! Xxx
As a grandmother myself I can honestly say the separation from my grandchildren is the most awful. FaceTime isn’t the same, especially with the little ones that enjoy planting and doing things 💔

The latest thing in American gardens are winter gardening in plastic milk jugs....have you ever done this. My mother use to love windy days...she’d get her laundry out because she said the wind made the clothes dry fast and softer....

Everything is looking nice. I love seeing the promise of Spring, here, the field grass turns a beautiful light green. Love hearing the sheep in the background. My father raised Merinos for their wool, when I was a child. This makes me think of those days.

This is one of my favorite. I've watched this video I don't know how many times! It is just so peaceful. And when you speak of the stream eventually flowing out to the Atlantic, I like to think it makes it's way all the way to me here in New England!
I love streams and brooks. I’m fortunately living in a city, but my house 🏡 backs on to a green belt with a stream that flows from a lake upstream and ends in a pond downstream at a Heritage Farm. Your stream and pond is beautiful.
I LOVE your videos. If one day its not to much trouble can you make a longer video. Maybe an hour. Your voice is so soothing. It helps me relax and or sleep.
Is your your stream a loop that remains on your property or does it go hither and yon in the area? I love watching what you do. Yay to the frogs. I hope Jack has only selective hearing loss as he explores his world. Love your ideas and watching permaculture in action.

The world probably! :-D Rural property doesn’t have door numbers but are known by the family name and easily found by an enquiry from a local resident. We were known as "the new couple back from England in the red and white cottage" until the locals got to know us. I'm sure if you even addressed it to Colette o Neil, the woodland garden " it would get to her! x
I've just realised there's a difference in "composts". You've pronounced the word a few times of many videos I've seen as what sounds like "Compoost" and I thought it was just the way you specifically said it. Now I've heard you say "compoost" and "compost" in one sentence in this video and recalled how you made your own compost from your own "waste" - so "compoost" is NOT the same as "compost". Right?
