Dear Colette, as you walked down the lane to the gate, an image of beloved Jack came into my head. What a good boy he was. My beautiful cat Jurgy was run over 3 weeks ago. He loved the fields and trees around my Welsh cottage. Like Colette can no doubt feel Jack's presence, so I feel Jurgy around me and in the land around my home. One day I hope to have another feline companion. Not as a replacement but a companion like Patsy.

Lovely video and Patsy is such a sweetie. Yesterday, as I was walking , I picked the most beautiful leaves that had fallen by the roadside. In recent years six of my siblings passed away, the most recent departure this past week so I put each of their names on the beautiful leaves and turned it into a beautiful wreath in their memory. Nature provided all that was necessary for such a beautiful simple wreath. Blessings galore.

Hi Colette and Patsy, It's lovely to know that Patsy is getting back to herself. She is a sweet little girl. What you said about your glasses made me think of my mother who always used to say of things 'oh its too good for every day use' or 'we'll save it for best' which meant that almost nothing new ever got used! Consequently, when she passed, I ended up with vast quantities of lovely things in boxes that had never seen the light of day in her lifetime. A sadness to me really that she denied herself the pleasure of new things in anticipation of better times ahead when she would finally'get them out to share and which seemingly never came. It shows you have to embrace life and the here and now as you have done at Bealtaine and make your own better times in the present. Bright blessings to you and the little girl.

Good morning Colette, goodness me you have been busy in the garden and the entrance at the roadside is looking very smart. Your scones look very good indeed😋 with all this work no wonder you feel a bit fatigued.😊 Patsy is looking better now, JRT's are a sturdy breed of little dog. Our Milly lived to be almost 18. She loved to bury her toys in the garden. We often wondered what she hoped they would grow into...bigger toys or food was our guess.😂

I used to have plenty of energy too until i had to give up my nursing career in 2012 a job I loved, I’m 66 now.
I have Fibromyalgia/ chronic fatigue/ ME so I have to pace my small self care - walking in nature- if I overdo anything it’s a energy crash, my joy is seeing my grandchildren, reading,knitting and watching lovely videos like yours which bring me joy!
I’m grateful for the small things!

Yep, the process of creating a life that is fulfilling and rewarding and also knowing your limits and pacing yourself is a great thing to learn.

Simply be gentle with yourself and have a wonderful time in nature and on your walks.
Teaching your grandchildren to garden is a very nice thing to do for them and for you.❤

Sure wish I had one of those scones this morning 😋 I veganized my Irish soda bread recipe a few years ago, that buttermilk swap does the trick, apple sauce in place of the eggs and plant based butter. Glad the dear Patsy girl is on the mend. Your work in the house and grounds are admirable. You could work circles around me and I'm several years younger than you. The eternally youthful Colette! It is always lovely to rediscover something precious you had forgotten you had tucked away and bringing it into the light again! I have been doing the same with my various skills, my knitting is growing, seed collection sorted, books dusted and favourite ones about sewing, growing and cooking arranged in a special stack with some fabric remnants and candles lit - your scones look so delicious and the cup and saucer just right. Thank you for reminding me we can do good in difficult times. Bright Blessings Xx

Always a pleasure to "walk" with you in your videos. Patsy is looking wonderful. I did get a few plants from the clearance section a few days back. I also purchased a small bag of clearance tulips. The weather here is turning enough now that it is time for me to cut back everything as well. Two days of cold rain has slowed my process. I believe next week is my window of opportunity. Thank you for everything.
Gorgeous little Patsy. I am an ex Vet nurse and it doesn’t take long for most to recover and some don’t need to wear the Elizabethan collar. I am glad she is up and about🐾💕

I miss Jack, but I'm so happy you got a new best friend.
This was the kick up the arse I needed to go out and get my garden sorted for autumn/winter 😂 I have leaves to gather for mulching, plants to cut back, old soil in pots to recompost, trees to prune. It never ends. the frosty nights recently here in Fermanagh have really started to nip at all the plants so I doubt they will survive much longer.
